Description:
One-key mounting solution, useful whether you have just one mount or several.
Supports all mounts currently in game, sensibly chooses/randomizes between what you have.
Bind a key and hit it to mount/unmount or shapeshift/deshift, or use '/click GoGoButton' in a macro.

Spell support:
- Supports Shaman and Druid travel forms - in combat as well

Autodismount support:
Dismounts you automagically when clicking on herbs/ores or using offensive spells/abilities.
Use '/gogo auto' to toggle this on/off.

Preferred mounts support:
You can assign one or more preferred mounts for each zone.
Use '/gogo ItemLink' or '/gogo SpellName' to add pref.
Use '/gogo clear' to clear prefs for current zone.
Warning: GoGo will use your preferred mounts even if you have faster ones.

Excluded mount support:
You can exclude mounts that you never ever want to see.
Use '/gogo exclude MountLink' to add a mount to the exclusions list.
Use the same command to remove a mount from the exclusions list.

Blizzard added in the 2.4.3 patch that when you change equipment during a spellcast (trinkets or other items) it stops the spellcast currently in progress. So if you're pulling up to a node, dismounting while picking it your riding crop/carrot on a stick change will cancel your gathering. I don't know if Blizzard can change this to exclude node gathering as previously mentioned by Tibor.

Thanks Tibor for the explanation, and GrissomXIX for reinforcing it. I do use Outfitter, which switches out certain gear when I mount, and then switches it back when I dismount. This is no doubt the cause of the problem.

I would rather not have to equip my riding crop (or boots, carrot, gloves) manually, so for now I will live with the gathering problem and hope that Blizzard recognizes that gathering is not spell-casting in the next patch.

The (I think) intended fix for this showed up in the data files for the patch 2.4.2 but didn't go live. Riding crop, carrot on a stick, etc. were changed from trinkets to item modifiers (like a gem) to be applied to each mount.

I'm willing to bet you'll see that coming soon.

WTB more riding crops.....

Just a thought: Perhaps there's a way to hook into Outfitter and tell it to switch off the riding outfit before you call for the dismount?

suggestions and a bug

this is a very nice addon, switched over to this from Coconuts because Coconuts did a lot more than what i wanted and i needed something simpler. a few things i would like to see added (i use the macro and bind it to mouse button 5, so these suggestions are related to the macro):

-add hunter aspect of cheetah/pack to work similar to druid and shaman travel forms
-make the macro update its icon depending on what spell/mount it will use. Buffet and CreatureComforts here on wowinterface are examples of two good addons that use this functionality
-shift clicking the macro button to select a non flying mount in a flyable zone
-right clicking the macro could also be set up to do something (not sure what exactly though, just a thought)

and a problem i'm having with the macro:
-the first time i use the macro button, i get a warning that GoGoMount is blocked by the blizzard ui. i have to ignore it that first time, then it works fine. i have seen some other addons have this problem. maybe you could take a look at CreatureComforts or ask the author, one of the reason he made the addon was because of the blizzard macro bug. that addons macros work great right now.

again very nice, really love this addon

about the macro bug

this might help with the blizz interface has blocked this addon problem. it was posted on the wow ui & macros forum by Iriel:

" You can work around the click cache bug by calling GetClickFrame("YourFrameName") right after you create the frame, this primes the cache (and returns the initial tainted value in a place where it doesn't matter). "

joshwill80: I'll look into adding hunter support to the mod, depending on how it works (I don't have a hunter so I'll have to do some research on this). Single button with using Shift to force ground mount can be done by using a shift modifier. /click GoGoButton will select fly / ground mounts, /click GoGoButton2 will select ground only. I won't be hooking into the UI to change icons, sorry.

I will look into the cache thing to see if I can clear the error before the UI initializes. Thank you.

Beta build for WoLK 3.0

Just so everyone knows, I've been working on re-writing GoGoMount to work with the new interface. I don't have access to the beta, but someone who does has been testing for me.

If anyone else wants to test, download GoGoMount 3.0.0 build 5 from http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/gogomount/ (since WoWInterface doesn't have a developement / beta area). If there are any problems, please open tickets there (one for each separate issue) and I'll address them.

Please note that this beta will not work on the current 2.x.x live servers.

specific macro

ok, sorry but i don't understand what the macro would exactly look like if i wanted to have the ground mount shift-clicking added into my button:

/click GoGoButton
/click [modifier:shift] GoGoButton2

but i don't think thats right? could you post the exact macro i would need to use please.

I think it would be:

/click [modifier:shift] GoGoButton2; GoGoButton

I'm at work so I can't test it but that should force ground mounts holding shift.

travel form

every once in awhile i start getting the "you can't do that while moving" error message when trying to use cheetah travel form on my druid. it still works in combat, just when i'm moving it seems to want to use my mount instead of cheetah form.

i'm not sure what causes it to break, have to reload the UI to fix the problem.

travel form bugs

a few other things with travel form:

-sometimes when trying to shift into aquatic form i get a "you can't do that while moving" error. hitting the macro for a second or third time usually fixes it.
-would be nice if when you are in combat and already in travel form if the macro switched you out of travel form. currently it just recasts travel form even though you are already in it. this only happens when in combat.

I believe this is due to a certain amount of lag between you moving on your screen, your location and the server passing back information for the mod to see. I've had similar problems running out of a building and trying to mount really fast only to be told that "You can't mount here". There's not a lot I can do about this, sorry. Just run for an extra second before trying to change forms if you're lagging.

The first item is related to my last post.

The second item is something I'm aware of. Part of the internal workings of GoGoMount are blocked by Blizzard once you're in combat. I'm trying to find a way to allow some more intelligent decisions while in combat without being blocked by Blizzard. i know the lag issue you are speaking of, i have seen that. the problem im talking about though is that something forces gogomount to not recognize my druid travel form for an extended period of time, and gogo wants to use my mount while moving instead. only certain things will fix it, such as zoning or relogging/ui reload (and it seems other events will fix it, but i can't figure out which ones).

the issue i reported with aquatic form though does seem to be related to the lag issue you are talking about, so aquatic form seems to be working ok.
