Buffet is a simple water/food managing addon inspired by BaudConsumables and Munchies.

Unlike Baud and Munchies, Buffet does not swap items on the action bar (the noise bothered me). Instead it edits macros on the fly (out of combat) to provide you with the best food, water, potions, stones, and bandages.

To make Buffet work, you must provide two macros, "AutoHP" and "AutoMP". Drop these on your action bar like any other macro, Buffet will change the macros as needed to provide you with food and drink out of combat, potions and stones in combat, and bandages on shift (HP macro only, of course). Buffet will always pick the smaller stack if equal-strength items are found. Conjured items will always be preferred over permanent ones.

The names of the macros must be AutoHP and AutoMP. The macros should be empty.

Bandage use...

One thing seems off with Buffet, or maybe it's just a configuration issue for me.

If i'm in a raid, and i've just used a HP pot, the only option left to me is to use a Bandage. But Buffet doesn't seem to load the next proper item based on this sequence. It continues to show the HP pot, for 2mins. Not very useful, when the Bandage option is available?

Can yo do something about that?

is there any way to keep the tooltips from coming back? i tried deleting that line from the macro, but buffet just keeps adding it back in.

Level check

I was on an alt char the other day and had some higher level water items in my bag. Unfortunately the addon filled the auto macro with it even though my char couldnt use it. Would someone be able to add a level check to the macro creation? Thanks.

Well, there is no way for addons or macros to check for spells or items being on cooldown, but in addons, you can set up a seperate timer using OnUpdate.

Question JC stone statue vs healing pots

The latest version of Buffet will prioritize a stone statue over a healing pot. (actually as long as statues are in my bag I don't ever get a healing pot option in combat.) Is there a way to change this as the statue doesn't provide enough health for a lvl 70.

Also, sometimes, in raids more than 1 health stone will be available (and in my bag), but buffet only picks up the highest valued stone. I never see the lower valued health stones. Thanks.

i don't want it to use healthstones i have a way to deal with those.
i want it to be health and mana pots, and then health and mana food out of combat.

nothing else. conjured food first.

an option like "use healthstone?" would be good

otherwise this mod rocks.

Great addon, but useless for my mage : seem it can't see when my mana gem is on cooldown.
So, when i need a mana potion, only the mana gem appear... on cooldown, and i can't use anything.
Is there a way to make it see if an item is on cooldown ?

Thank you anyway, works fine with my low level alts.

This is indeed a nice addon - however I think healthstones and managems need to be separated given their separate cooldown/the constraints of the macro system.

What I've done is move Healthstones and Mana Gems to a separate macro. Mana Gems have priority (as ONLY Mages can use them and they're probably going to prefer them) however holding [Shift] will bring up a Healthstone if you have it (PvP FTW and all that).

I like the idea of "right clicking" (or perhaps [ALT] as that will change the macro icon) to conjure food/water and that's an EASY thing to add too...

Once I've tested it I'll post the revised code if anyone is interested...

Hey Tekkub... the files are missing from the Libdatabroker 1.1 folder so I get an error after the install telling me that it's missing. I downloaded it from your site to get it working but you might wanna check that. I love this mod btw (I heard you love having users "suck up" to you. :P)!

I like the version with the AutoST feature, you might consider spinning it back in.

also Stars Tears is a PVP item, i don't want it to use those anywhere else. I don't like them being consumed elsewhere, cause the other stuff can't be used in arena. i can manage an extra button for them for arena, I've been manually removing healthstones and stars tears from the release eddition.

personally i think by adding the jc items and healthstones you went beyond the original concept.

i really liked the basic version of water/food Out of Combat, MP/HP in combat, shift health for bandaid

the only feature it really needed added was zone pots. and those still are not there.

Tekkub made a few small changes since I span that version off so I can't make a 'diff' for him to roll my changes back into the original.

I suspect he'd rather take the idea and add the changes himself if/when he thinks it's a good idea/has the time anyway - my code is commented and I didn't change that much and I'm sure he'll do it neater anyway @)...

I included changes to allow mages/warlocks to conjure food/water/stones which needs wider testing anyway - I've tested it as a 65 warlock/70 mage but I can't test lower levels/diff stones...

It's a BIG job to include all of those.

The hardest part is identifying every possible item and tagging it with it's (localisation dependant!) zone name. If you're really, really keen - feel free to start that list

You'd then have to expand Buffet to understand this information - and to remake it's macros at every zone change (relatively easy).

You may run into more of the 'clashing cooldown' problems which hit healthstones/managems and potions too - in that an item usable in your current zone may be on cooldown and block another 'all zone' item?

Just to expand on cooldowns - Buffet simply writes a macro - when you USE that macro is something it has no control over or information about. The only way it could be 'cooldown aware' is to keep trying to write new macros every few seconds - which would be a fairly big overhead/total overkill IMO...

Pots are all on the same cooldown. Stones, jeweler statues and a few misc things are all on another cooldown. Hence why Buffet will try to put both into the macro.

I do intend to add an option to not use stones in the macro, which would fairly well cover most of your version kerr. The other bits you did I'm not really interested in. The conjure spell issue was already solved by allowing the user to customize the macro text to his liking (for example, I don't like the alt key, I don't use it). I have no plans for a stone-only macro, because in most cases it's something the user can just make for themselves. AFAIK tanks who multi-stone just make a macro with multiple /use lines that cover every stone they'd ever have, and it "just works" There's no need for it to be dynamic at all. But the reason I put in stones in the first place was not for them, but for people like me who so rarely watch their heath that in an emergency I just hit my pot macro... even if I have a stone in my bags. Yea, I don't I ever actually used a stone till Buffet put em up there for me.

Oh and zone-specific stuff is on the "someday" list. There's so few of them (uh, TK and Gruuls, any others?) that it's just not exactly been a priority. A decent chunk of extra code for an edge case...
