Toons-v2   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Adds a new tab to your Social menu called toons. The new tab shows summary data for all your characters with drop downs to choose server and info page. Summarized info includes : Level, race, class, location, xp, rested xp, played time, professions, secondary skills, gold, guild, and hearthstone bind.

This was originally written by Aquendyn and revamped with more options with his permission.

Toons only remembers info for characters that you have logged on with since toons was installed
I also recommend opening each characters bank, backpack, and a tradeskill window when you first install to make sure all possible data is collected for each character

Toons now has '/toons' and '/toons reset' command lines-
Plus shift click on skills you have opened (and are linkable) to chat link them!

Nice addon but for me it causes combat lockdown so that I can't view the raid tab in combat (and often causes the "Interface action failed because of an AddOn" message to appear, not just in combat but even while e.g. in Shattrath and someone joins the group). Is it just the nature of the addon or is it fixable?

OOPS! Toons 2L has a very minor bug...

line 826 of toons.lua should have been:
local wg = GetItemCount(20558, 1);

somehow I typed 20588 in the version I uploaded...
with the wrong number toons will not track Warsong gulch marks correctly.

I'll try and upload the fixed lua when I get back home tonight.

I'm slowly working on adding a page with honor and arena points (possibly marks, not sure yet). As far as sharing info- it's a great idea but I think its beyond my current coding level. I'll try and do some research and see just how complicated it would be.

Could you add the ability for this mod to sync basic info (level, name, Profs, Guild, Rank, Played time, Perhaps Gold Amount? ) with an option of (Guild/Friends/None). Thanks for your consideration

just out of curiosity
What resolution was this mod created in? The only problem i have is that the bottom portion of the pane has the delete button in that area and not on the bottoms so the words overlap it and i can't read what some of it says. I don't have a terrible lot of mods but enough. It seems like maybe the font is too big to fit in the pane cuz the pane is the same size as the default blizzard panes. I have no mods that alter the size of frames. However, I do have skinner which alters the color of the frames (skins it) and i've not had any problems with it except what it always does in that it doesn't detect some mods in the skinme file but those are mods that don't actually have a menu or like Ndragit or multitips.

Happy to hear that fixed the error! I wish I could take credit for Toons, but Aquendyn wrote the original a long time ago I've just fixed a few bugs and added a little more info to the great foundation that was already there.

I'm happy to report that the change fixed all errors, and the addon is now smooth and trouble free (so far!).

thanks for the time you spent on it, it's a nice piece of work and I hope you're proud of it!

I think the odd part might be once it hit the error on your BE with enchanting it broke the fuction that would update the rest....

Definately was an issue with BE and enchanting, they are the only race that got a +10 to a profession....

I'm uploading a new ver with a changed localization to fix BE and enchanting-
You might need to delete the toons.lua from \World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\#######\SavedVariables if the error has corrupted any data, but I don't think you'll have to.

If the new lua and erasing the saved data don't fix all the problems, please let me know! (the 109390 herbalism skill has me buggered unless it was just a side effect from the original error)

My tauren druid's herbalism skill displays as 109390/390, but it throws no error

clicking on my BE hunter, 192/225 engy 152/225 mining, or BE priest 57/175 enc 79/150 tlr it throws the error

it also shows my priest who is tlr/enc as not having any professions

my level 6 BE paladin with a single profession doesn't throw any errors, but the other two BE do.

also, I noticed it never actually shows the professions for my priest, but will show them for my hunter sometimes while clicking around.

hope this helps some, it's a bit of an odd acting error.

From the line where the error happened, its from a character's first profession.
Does the error happen when you click on a specific character? Can you post what the profession, skill rank, and max skill points are for that characters profession?

I've tried to cover all the combinations of things I could think of and test them, but you seem to have hit on something I missed.

Swatter error grab.
The problem behavior observed was that as I clicked around the various characters, it would throw this error and then improperly/partially update, ie changing the name but leaving professions/hearth location the same.

enabled swatter to grab the error, here is the dump from that. lovely idea, I hope it gets worked out.

Haha, dont worrie about it, i love this addon, its a favorite and i only had it for a day . i dont mind trouble shooting it. Hey bug reports and fixes are just another step in development. Keep it up
