Simple Light Data Text v3.1.4
-------------------------

Notice:
I am no longer player WoW, or updating any WoW AddOns I previously maintained. This AddOn is available to anyone to continue development on, but from this point on will remain in it's "current" state.

SLDataText is a modular text-based information tool to relay game-specific information in a clean, streamlined manner that is easy to integrate into most player user interfaces.

SLDT modules perform a variety of minor functions, including informative tooltips and interactive functions. The AddOn was created as an alternative to static information bars such as FuBar and Titan.

Features:
  • Lightweight, text-based design
  • Individual modules can be placed & justified anywhere on screen
  • Modules can hide/show in/out of combat
  • Class-based coloring scheme(s)

Modules Included:
  • Bag Space (w/ Ammo)
  • Clock (w/ Server Time)
  • Gold Tracker
  • Friend List
  • Guild List
  • Latency
  • Framerate
  • Memory Usage
  • Durability
  • Tracking (Gathering Professions, etc)
  • Mail
  • Zone Text
  • Map Coordinates

Additional Modules:
Usage:
/sldt or /sldatatext will open in-game configuration menu. Guild List & Friend List modules utilize Tablet tooltips for mouse click interaction. Gold module includes Gold totals for session & server. Clock includes mouse click interaction to open in-game Alarm & Calendar. Tracking includes mouse click interaction for tracking menu.

Coming Features:
  • Compatibility with LibDataBroker modules
  • Custom modules to display information via scripts (ie. DPS, etc)

Announcements:
Feedback and suggestions are welcome. If commenting regarding bugs or feature requests, please be detailed (ie. if Bug, include error message and/or how to reproduce the bug). Basic comments about bugs or feature requests with little to no information will not be responded to.

Why did I not spot this AddOn earlier? I hate using FuBar, even with all of its plugins, and I needed something clean which I can configure to my heart's content and its right under my nose!

Thank you for this amazing, yet simplistic AddOn. It has worked wonders for my new UI!

The methods used in the date() call don't accept the 12 hour no-leading-zero format (will error with "String too long" message). The only way around it is to have a function to handle the formatting, which used to be included but I removed to lighten the addons memory usage.

Has something to do with the color tables for localized versions. Are you using a US version of the game, or other? And what is you current color settings?

Nothing terribly drastic. The rewrite is going to update the libraries and clean up some code for v3.0.0. The Statline module is going to be dropped from the main bundle and added as a more comprehensive seperate module (kind of like what Prat 3.0 does with it's high-CPU usage modules), as well as a similar case for the Exp module. That's down the road, though...for the time being I just want to clean it up. I'm about 1/2 way done, and some business trips for work are certainly keeping me busy...but it won't be long

The overlay plugins i am speaking of have nothing to do with World of Warcraft, it's simple small plugins you install into your favorite player, and it will then be shown on-top, meaninig it will be on top of all other active applications and windows - such as World of Warcraft, without interacting with World of Warcraft in any way.

Personally i have no such problem as i am playing in windowed mode, and my mediamonkey pops up with a small "msn-friend-logged-on"-alike message whenever the song changes - maybe that would be a solution for you, i don't know.

Accessing software "outside" of WoW through the WoW engine is prohibited for the same reason outside software accessing the game engine is. Any interaction with an outside program through the WoW interface would break a great many in-place rules that would almost definately result in loss of account.
