FishermansFriend Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

FishermansFriend is a fishing helper addon inspired by FishingAce and improved upon.

FishermansFriend does the following when you equip a fishing rod:
- Enhance Sounds so you can hear the fishing bobber better, and ofcourse restore your original settings when you remove the rod.
- Add doublerightclick autocasting.
- When attempting to doublerightclick autocast FishermansFriend can also use the Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat or automatically apply your best lure.
- Automatically turn on Auto-Looting items when you have a fishing rod equipped.

FishermansFriend uses the itemids for lures etc, and should work on every language client even though the configuration might not be translated in your language yet.

You can open the options panel by /fmf or /fishermansfriend or via Esc -> Interface Options -> AddOns.

FishermansFriend fixes a few issues with resetting the doublerightclick hook compared to FishingAce. It has the ability to use the weather-beaten fishinghat. In general it's a cleaned up version of FishingAce. It's smaller codewise and a tiny bit more efficient, not that that matters while fishing

If FishingAce does all you need then I suggest you keep using it.

Indeed it is. In fact, in terms of function, how is this mod any different from FishingAce? I've used FishingAce for quite a while now. What are the benefits of using FishermansFriend over FishingAce?

Ah, I just looked up FishingAce! This is pretty nice if you don't need the tracking and such (less memory usage is always good)!
