Speedometer
Description

Speedometer provides a basic text display of your current ranged attack speed.

It is completely standalone and does not require any libraries or other addons to function. The transparency, color, font face, outline, shadow, and scale are all configurable using the /speed command.

Usage

On first load, the display is unlocked. Drag it to the desired location and type /speed lock to lock it in place and hide the gray drag box.

Future Plans

As auto-shot clipping no longer exists in the game, I do not see much point in this addon's continued existence. Unless someone comes up with a good reason for it, I will probably just delete it.

Notes

Speedometer supports LibSharedMedia-3.0 for additional font face choices. This library is included in the download, but if you are happy with the default font, you can simply delete the Libs subfolder, and Speedometer will run without complaint (and without the font face option).

Speedometer will only load if you are a hunter. I have no plans to add melee attack speed or any other stats.

License

Please do not redistribute Speedometer in compilations without asking me first. See my portal or the README included in the download for the full license terms under which Speedometer is released. Thanks!

What purpose would knowing your exact melee speed at all times accomplish? As I'm told by hunters, knowing your current attack speed is critical to using the right shot rotation at any given time; as far as I know there is no melee "attack rotation" that depends on attack speed to be concerned with. There certainly isn't for my kitty druid.

At this time I won't add melee attack speed, but I'll consider it for the future if you have some reason why it would be useful.

Care to elaborate? I don't play a warrior at all, or know anyone who plays a DPS warrior, so I have no idea what Slam does or how your attack speed is relevant to it.
