Delsim's standard minimal UI   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
THE QUARTZ /PLAYER/Player.lua HAS A CHANGED STRATA SETTING FROM THE REGULAR "MEDIUM" setting to the new "HIGH" value (so the player castbar isn't covered by the actionbar buttons). SO DON'T UPDATE QUARTZ MANUALLY UNLESS YOU CHANGE THIS YOURSELF.

This UI was created using 1440x900 widescreen resolution. Higher widescreen resolutions have been said to function fine though, with no additional configuration needed. Non-Widescreen resolutions have seemed to work well for some users before, however a few of the addons may need repositioning and font scaling will likely need to be adjusted for several addons because of the use of pixel fonts in this layout, which have strict sizing requirements in order to display them clearly.

This is a more forgiving version of my other minimal layout. It has everything my other, more trimmed layout version has, but with the addition of visible chatframes in the layout instead of the former hidden (minichat) frames. eePanels was used to create effective (yet not too overpowering) backdrop displays for these chatframes in order to make text consistently easy to read in any gameworld enviornment. To increase the target unitframe information a different unitframe texture appearance is being used for the frames. Also statusbar class coloring is now enabled for the target health bar, aswell as additional target name and information text.

Custom artwork is used for Pitbull's border.tga in the /aura/ folder, Fubar's background.tga, and simpleminimap /skins/ folder files. So if you update those addons manually, be sure to copy over the custom images used by this UI to any updated versions of those addons.

Refer to the included .txt file for full information and instructions.

======================================================
INSTALLATION STEPS:

1. Backup your current /WTF/, /Interface/, and (if you have one) /Fonts/ folders. Remove these from your WoW folder.

2. Delete your /Logs/, /Cache/, /Errors/ folders. You can back these up also, not really needed though. There should now only be a /Data/, /Screenshots/, and WowTest server folder if you happen to have the test server client that is.

3. Extract the folders from this .zip file into your World of Warcraft folder. If it prompts to overwrite something, this means you didn't remove one of first three folders mentioned above, make sure you do this and try again.

4. After you extract everything, open up the new /WTF/ folder in your game directory. Now open up the /Account/ folder inside.

5. Rename the folder/ACCOUNTNAME/ to whatever the name of your account is that you log onto the game with. Type this account name in all caps. Open up this folder afterwards.

6. Rename the folder /YOURREALM/ to the name of your realm that your character is on that you will be loading this interface with. Open this folder up afterwards.

7. Rename /PLAYERNAME/ to whatever your character's name is on the realm. If you have multiple characters you want to use the layout with, simply make additional copies of this folder and use them for any other characters you want to have inherit this configuration (of course setting the foldername to that character's name).

By and far the BEST interface I have used to date. I have tried to replace it with variants of my own dozens of times, yet I still keep coming back. Thank you.

Normally I have those black box panels parented/anchored together with the chatframes so they move along with your chatframe if you are moving it. But the parenting/anchoring was causing some annoying reseting with this latest patch so for this build I had to manually place the panels myself.

If you want to move the panels yourself type in /kgpanels config. Expand the 'active panels' menu tree on the left. And the two panels can be selected 'DsmChat1' and 'DsmChat2", when you click on one of the panels the options screen on the right has a 'Lock' option you can click on to unlock/lock the panel. Then when its unlocked you can mouse over the panel and drag and drop it wherever you want, then just enable the lock setting again.

How would I go about moving the boxes on the left and right sides? They are really sharp and I'd love to be able to use them.

Hey Jaesura. I just released a version that uses Dominos instead of Bartender4 to handle actionbars. Type in /dominos and click on the Bind Keys button to access the bindings system.

Delsim I've having huge issues with binding keys, with BT3/CyC I was able to bind buttons that were on bars that weren't even showing, but now with BT4/BF I have to scroll to access those buttons and it's quite annoying when doing arenas. Have you found a way to get around this or am I stuck to crappy scrolling/having more than one bar on my screen?

BTW I really like the UI because of the lack of a huge mess of buttons.
