Delsim's standard minimal UI   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
THE QUARTZ /PLAYER/Player.lua HAS A CHANGED STRATA SETTING FROM THE REGULAR "MEDIUM" setting to the new "HIGH" value (so the player castbar isn't covered by the actionbar buttons). SO DON'T UPDATE QUARTZ MANUALLY UNLESS YOU CHANGE THIS YOURSELF.

This UI was created using 1440x900 widescreen resolution. Higher widescreen resolutions have been said to function fine though, with no additional configuration needed. Non-Widescreen resolutions have seemed to work well for some users before, however a few of the addons may need repositioning and font scaling will likely need to be adjusted for several addons because of the use of pixel fonts in this layout, which have strict sizing requirements in order to display them clearly.

This is a more forgiving version of my other minimal layout. It has everything my other, more trimmed layout version has, but with the addition of visible chatframes in the layout instead of the former hidden (minichat) frames. eePanels was used to create effective (yet not too overpowering) backdrop displays for these chatframes in order to make text consistently easy to read in any gameworld enviornment. To increase the target unitframe information a different unitframe texture appearance is being used for the frames. Also statusbar class coloring is now enabled for the target health bar, aswell as additional target name and information text.

Custom artwork is used for Pitbull's border.tga in the /aura/ folder, Fubar's background.tga, and simpleminimap /skins/ folder files. So if you update those addons manually, be sure to copy over the custom images used by this UI to any updated versions of those addons.

Refer to the included .txt file for full information and instructions.

======================================================
INSTALLATION STEPS:

1. Backup your current /WTF/, /Interface/, and (if you have one) /Fonts/ folders. Remove these from your WoW folder.

2. Delete your /Logs/, /Cache/, /Errors/ folders. You can back these up also, not really needed though. There should now only be a /Data/, /Screenshots/, and WowTest server folder if you happen to have the test server client that is.

3. Extract the folders from this .zip file into your World of Warcraft folder. If it prompts to overwrite something, this means you didn't remove one of first three folders mentioned above, make sure you do this and try again.

4. After you extract everything, open up the new /WTF/ folder in your game directory. Now open up the /Account/ folder inside.

5. Rename the folder/ACCOUNTNAME/ to whatever the name of your account is that you log onto the game with. Type this account name in all caps. Open up this folder afterwards.

6. Rename the folder /YOURREALM/ to the name of your realm that your character is on that you will be loading this interface with. Open this folder up afterwards.

7. Rename /PLAYERNAME/ to whatever your character's name is on the realm. If you have multiple characters you want to use the layout with, simply make additional copies of this folder and use them for any other characters you want to have inherit this configuration (of course setting the foldername to that character's name).

haha thanks for the kind words you friendly bovine! The BF/BT4 setup is the first draft really I created so I am definately planning on messing around with fine touches and improving any details of the BF scaling and arrangement.

Also I would very much like to find a way to carry over any BF/Bar4 configuration settings without any steps needed by the end-user just like every other addon does in the compilation. Unfortunately these Ace3-based addons seem to behave differently by just reverting to default settings with any new profile or character that is playing and forcing the additional steps of copying settings from a saved profile or forcing the user to manually configure things.

Hopefully I can sort that out soon enough though

A few of the addons used in this layout have modified versions of some addon-specific image files they include. I included the Backup_art folder to store these addon-associated image files I modified - in case you were to update an addon manually and would need to copy over the custom image files to overwrite the default addon images after you updated it.

Thanks and I've been messing around with regular fonts to use for the chat font but still trying to find one I like. Figured I should do that for atleast this standard layout version as I wanted it to be a more accessible version of my other layout.

Just saw you updated eePanels to KgPanels, while you're at it, don't forget CyCircled to ButtonFacade

edit: nvm didn't read the post below. But could you make it available for those not using Bartender4, i'm using Dominos.

Thanks Stonecow (/moo btw)

I will test out that Pallypower issue you mentioned with my friends Paladin and hopefully correct this on the tooltip graphic file, hopefully for the next version.

I already created a Buttonfacade skin to match my CyCircled one's appearance (modified Vol button).. However with Bartender4 and Buttonfacade there are some annoyances I haven't got past yet without editing the .lua. Particularly it is the lack of small scaling increment steps for Bartender4's bar scaling (set for steps of .5 instead of .1) - so this limits the fine-tuned scaling flexibility I had with Bartender3.

Also Bartender4 and ButtonFacade don't seem to use player profiles in the same way that Bartender3 and cyCircled use profiles. Bartender3+cyCircled carries over the configuration I created for this compilation when another player renames the /WTF/ folders and uses the interface with their character(s). However, Bartender4+ButtonFacade seem to revert to default settings that are untouched - if the profile character information isn't the same as the player information profile that configured the settings.

When I figure all that stuff out though I will definately make the switch.

Also wanted to mention to any paladins using the Pallypower mod, I had to delete the UI-Tooltip-Background.blp file from the Tooltips folder because it was covering up the color coded backgrounds from the Buff buttons and the grid from the pp config menu.

Are there any plans to move to Bartender4 and Buttonfacade instead of bt3/cycircled? Looks like most addon devs are slowly moving from cycircled in favor of BF.

Thanks. If the font isn't showing as it should make sure you have the included /Fonts/ folder with this interface, inside your world of warcraft folder. Otherwise it is probably because you are using a different resolution than the intended one (1440x900), and you may need to resize the font scale setting for various addons if you are using a different resolution.
