tekticles   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
tekticles is a simple set of fonts, derived from ClearFont2. I only ever used one set of fonts from CF2 (the Calibri set), so I ripped CF2 down to it's bear ass and stripped off all the extra crap. This addon is what's left.

You'd have to edit the .lua file in order to modify any of the looks-n-feel for this mod.

Is there a way to make only the action bar font bigger? I think i heard that with the patch that the action bar does hold it own font any more.

This addon does not have an in-game user interface of any sort. To change the typeface or tweak the fonts, you ned to edit the tekticles.lua in your installation directory.

Is there a way to define a global reduction or enlargement of font sizes within the code? I didn't see anything in the LUA jumping out at me, but was hoping I overlooked something.

If I run this with AddonLoader, Grid complains it can't find its font. Not sure how I can fix this apart from not using AddonLoader.

so everytime i change fonts i just rename them into Font1-5. it's kinda weird to have Arial font with Calibri filename isn't it =P

So... changing strings in the lua to point at different files is harder than renaming files? :P

just my 1 copper, but maybe you want to change the .lua file for the font into Font1.ttf - Font4.ttf / Font5.ttf

so let say you want to install other fonts than calibri, you just have to put the new font into the folder and rename it into Font1.ttf and so on.

it's not a big change tho.. lol. i just change 8-9 lines and rename 4 files.

y'know what.. i hate you.. your addon is so damn nice. simple yet that's all i want.. no more heavy addons just for changing the map looks. altho u might consider the alpha.. but hell i'll do it by myself.. your code is easy to read.

Actually, most of my "core" UI is my own rewriting. There's a few things that are not:
1) Bags, OneBag works for me, and every time I look at it to rewrite it... I just can't find the motivation
2) Unitframes, I use agUF for target/player/pet/focus... see (1)... and PerfectRaid (works wonderfully, I would never rewrite it)

There are of course a number of mods that are not my own, which I can't motivate myself to rewrite... like Auctioneer, ArcHUD, MSBT...
