Features:

  • Boss mods for all raid bosses
  • Colored raid warnings (players will be colored according to their class) with icons - so you will know what's going on without even reading the message
  • Auto-respond during boss fights. DBM will inform anyone who whispers you during a boss fight that you are busy. These messages contain the name and health of the boss as well as the raid's status
  • HealthFrame: you can enable a simple frame that shows a health bar for all active bosses. This is enabled by default for multi-mob bosses like Four Horsemen
  • Bars can be enlarged with decent effects when they are about to expire
  • Crash recovery: you had a disconnect or crash during a boss fight? No problem for DBM! It will request the timer and combat status information from other DBM users in your raid group and you get your timers back
  • Synchronization system for accurate timers
  • No dependencies, no embedded libraries (except for the optional LibDataBroker plugin that embeds LibDataBroker)
  • Modular design - all boss mods are plugins and can be exchanged, removed or updated separately
  • Load on demand - all boss mods are separate AddOns and they will be loaded when they are needed. So they don't use memory or cpu until you enter the corresponding instance
  • Special effects like the screen flash effect, huge warning messages and sounds will draw your attention to critical events
  • Bars can change their color over time and flash before they expire
  • There are many bar designs to choose from, all designs are are customizable: you can change the color, size, icon position etc.
  • Support for SharedMedia, so you can use any texture for your bars
  • Option to create custom timers, so-called "Pizza Timers" for your pizza or whatever you prefer to eat while raiding. You can also send those timers to your raid group
  • Powerful object-oriented API - you can use it to write your own boss mods!

5 Man Dungeons
  • Some data updates to boss names and encounterIds etc from latest alpha patches

Changes:

Core:
  • The notice messages that mods are available for zone/boss you are currently in will now display in old content if you are at that contents level cap in addition to displaying in TW difficulty. These messages will now also always be displayed instead of only being displayed once.

Antorus
  • More stuff was manually localized on Argus encounter do to auto localisiation by spellIds not always being accurate in non english languages. Caveat, now all the languages DBM doesn't have support for will now display even more timers/yells in english instead of auto localized text. Correct english is better than invalid translations though.
  • Avatar of Aggramar on Argus encounter has been made excempt from the default "target" warning filter
  • Yell countdowns for burst, blight, and bomb will now start from 4 instead of 3 on Argus

Broken Isles:
  • Pruned special warnings for Jetsam on Flotsam since there really isn't enough time to dodge it (nor does it really do any damage). This warning if anything was just yell spammy and personal warning spammy when soloing.

Bug Fixes:

Core:
  • Fixed a bug where announce icons were no longer showing spell icons and instead all showing generic wisp icon.
  • Fixed a bug where the the target table in announce object was still filled with names even though target filter was enabled, then never wiped (because wipe is done on announce show). This would actually leak few bytes of memory every time a target warning was never shown. It'd only add up to a few kilobytes at most after 4 hours of raiding, but a leak is a leak and this is now fixed.
  • Fixed a bug where DBM was using an invalid template inherit in one of it's XML files, which had potential to throw an error under WoW 8.0s new template validation checks.

Antorus:
  • Fixed a bug where inline icon for Sentence on Mythic Argus had texture path spellId in wrong field, causing it to appear along side timer text during argus encounter.
  • Fixed bug where the inline icons for eonar adds timers were in wrong field, causing icons to not display at all as well as possibly alter the color of bar timers mistakenly

Dev Notes:
  • *This code will prevent errors to users when there are bugs in arg orders for announce/timer objects as well as give debug to advanced users so actual causes can be identified and fixed much more quickly. (As a result of this code I was able to fix every issue with every mod old an new already. It'll also keep similar problems happening in future. I am but one person doing it all so this code checking should really help me.

heh don't I know it, unfortunately that'd be pretty tricky considering bosses die at such different rates depending on quality of your dps. some boss fights only are 30 seconds these days with a full 372 team blowing it up.

as for sound complaint from other guy, i answered your thread about that.

I want to remove the "Good luck and have fun " part when engaging a boss. Is there any way to do that?

When I engage a boss, I would prefer that it just say...

"XXX engaged."

It sounds very professional and simple. Straight to the point as well.

1. Go into the DBM-Core folder
2. Open localization.en into a text editor
3. Alter Line: 9 where it says...
DBM_CORE_COMBAT_STARTED = "%s engaged. Good luck and have fun! ";

How about showing a warning for bosses below 30%? I have trouble remembering to use the standard so would love it if we could get a special dbm warning as I'm used to responding to these :P

goto WoW folder and then goto WTF/Account/"account name"/server name.....once inside there u will find all your toons name in that server, goto your main toon, the one that has DBM configured the way you use it and then get into the "saved variables folder, once in there just copy all the DBM.lua and .bak files, now just goto everyother toon and paste it, i recommend deleting the DBM files on those other toons first and then paste the ones with the configuration u want......hope this helps ya. bye

Range Radar

Need help with the Range Radar. For Ragnaros I have "Show range Frame" ticked but it doesn't show up when combat starts and I have to manually type in /range 6. Any ideas why this is happening?

Yeah, we fail at keeping this site up to date. So you don't have all the updates and bugfixes that have gone into mods since like July 31st. I appologize. I'll try to remember to push updates here more often.

Is there a list of /commands for DBM? Where can I get them?
Specifically, I want to know the commands for setting up a break timer and the one to check for people's Raid Lockouts; but if there's a big list somewhere with commands I can meddle with, I'm all in for seeing that.

goto WoW folder and then goto WTF/Account/"account name"/server name.....once inside there u will find all your toons name in that server, goto your main toon, the one that has DBM configured the way you use it and then get into the "saved variables folder, once in there just copy all the DBM.lua and .bak files, now just goto everyother toon and paste it, i recommend deleting the DBM files on those other toons first and then paste the ones with the configuration u want......hope this helps ya. bye

LUA errors in new 5 mans/raid

Ever sense I downloaded the 4.10 ver., I've been getting LUA errors in the new 5 mans as well as when entering the new Dragonsoul raid. I have not checked if this happens in the older instences/raids yet. Here is the error when I enter DS with DBM on or turn DBM on while in the raid instence:

I've done this with every addon except Addon Control Panel (ACP) off moments ago and I still got the error. So far, the only fix I see for me is to revert to the previous ver of DBM until this is fixed in a future ver.
