GreedBeacon   Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
GreedBeacon is a simple roll-monitoring addon. It does two things: block the "detailed loot roll" spam, and provide a chat link tooltip to pull up those blocked details.

"Detailed Loot Information" must be turned on in the default config, otherwise GreedBeacon cannot get the roll details.

Passing ("wurfelt nicht fur") is not normally detected.

The ones we care about are...
selecting greed or need "hat fur ... ausgewahlt"
rolling "Wurf fur ...: 12 fur [Item] von ..."
winning "... gewinnt: ..."

Post a screenshot of any of those that you see that don't print out a debug line (ignore the "Suppressing chat message" lines)

And yes I know those string have umlauts. They are in the code, I just am too lazy to try to type em out here.

I've exposed debug messages for you, please test with this version:

Let me know which strings are not detecting (mind you there are different ones for male/female). Please give me the exact text of the message that is not detected... and upper/lowercase matters! Oh, and passes are not detected, just roll selections, the rolls themselves, and the winner.

Tested it! Didn't see what everybody rolls (good^^) but didn't get the link where I see what everybody rolls, just the normal tooltip

Try disabling and enabling your Item loot in the WoW chat settings.

Right click chat tab ---> settings ---> other

hmm
I don't have a SS, but when it worked, it put a [] around the players name that won it that you could click to see all the other rolls. Hopefully he'll get it working again.

Not working
As it says here, it should give me a link where I should click on to see what people rolled.

Well, it doesn't work for me, whenever there is a need/greed situation, nothing shows up and after a small while it says: ****** won [***], and when I click on [***] it just shows the item, and nothing of your add-on.

Could anyone please post me a screenshot of how the use of this add-on looks like, because ít doesn't work for me.

The only ones that *must* be localized to work are the ones in the :match calls. The others are all just user-output.

You could also extract the GlobalStrings.lua file and toss it my way, I should be able to craft the regexes from that.

Well, if you would isolate those strings needed to be translated in a localization file then some of us who provide localized strings would know what to translate and give you the help you need. But burrowing these strings within your code needs another programmer to identify these strings, isolate them, rewrite your code and put it on as a seperate addon, so it could be maintained in regards of localization.

Please don't get me wrong, I really love your addons and you KISS style for programming, I use Buffet and it saves me a ton of buttons, however any other of your addons I would like to test doesn't run on my german client. I'll try to localize my copy of GreedBeacon and send it to you, however I'm not a programmer, so maybe I get something wrong
