I was fiddling around with the Chocobo code earlier, and I decided to throw this together, just for kicks and giggles.
Basically, it has your character doing timed emotes when wind-riding. So now when you're flying over the Human newbie area, you'll be waving at the poor, clueless buggers. That or whichever other emote you happen to choose.
And yes, this is just for the fun of it. I think it combines well with Chocobo for an entertaining flying experience. Yes, I'm easily amused.
How do I use it?
Type '/vaud' or go into the main menu, interface, then the Addons tab and select Vaudevillian Flight. There are only two options to select, the emote you wish to use, and the interval between emotes. Easy stuff!
1.0: I feel this mod has reached a milestone, in that it's achieved a level of stability to the point where (despite my efforts to break it) I haven't seen any bugs in quite some time. This milestone also implies that I'm unable to think of any relevant features to add at this time without bloating out this mod, and there's nothing left to do that wouldn't be superfluous. Thus, this mod will likely be left untouched until a new feature is desired, or until a new Warcraft patch breaks it (if that happens). As of now, this mod should be considered stable.
revision160508: Hopefully got all the embeds sorted now.
revision140508b: Fixed an issue wherein Vaud might register more than one timer per flight (bugger).
revision140508: Fixed a potentially serious bug. I can't believe I missed that one.
Originally posted by VagrantEsha Vaud would work if you made that change. I gave it a high minimum setting because otherwise players might end up wave-wave-waving as they land, which I didn't really want happening to them. You could even change it to 0.1 or 0.01 if you liked with a step of 0.1, but I have to say that it's at your own risk.

Are you trying to use it when on your flying mount, or when on a taxi? The mod is only designed to work for the flying system that involves opening the flight path and following a set route. When you talk about getting on a birdy, I wonder if perhaps you mean a flying mount? I'm not sure though.
If you are using the taxi system, do you get any errors?
I haven't seen any problem myself, as my guild is using this mod and it's been behaving perfectly for us.
If you have tried the taxi, the only other thing I can think of is that some other mod is interfering. Have you tried doing it with only Vaudevillian Flight enabled?
