  Change Log - Auctionator
Version 2.4.6

- Fixed a bug that causes errors for brand-new Auctionator users

Version 2.4.5

- Fixed a bug in the selling options that was causing them not to work for categories

Version 2.4.4

- Fixed the remaining bugs where buying might hang WoW
- Added a new options panel for Selling that allows you to specify your selling preferences (5 stacks of 10, max, stacks of 1, etc)
- Converted Auctionator options screens to standard WoW options interface
- Changed the anti-spam feature to allow you to have at most 40 single-stack auctions posted at a time but relaxed the limitation of only being able to post 10 at a time

Version 2.4.3

- Fixed the bug where buying multiple auctions would freeze WoW
- Added the French translations
- Fixed the bug where the deposit amount wasn't changing when the auction duration was changed
- Glyphs now automatically default to stack size of 1
- Fixed the bug where WoWecon and GoingPrice info wasn't always displayed

Version 2.4.2

- Fixed the bug where the square "Sell Button" in the upper left became inoperable after the first auction.

Version 2.4.1

- Fixed the bug where Auctionator spams the chat after a full scan
- Fixed the bug that was causing an error when opening the AH if "Default Auctionator Tab" was set to "none"
- Cleaned up some code related to dragging items to the small square sell "button" in the upper left of the sell pane - not sure this'll fix the problems a few folks have been seeing.

Version 2.4.0

- Sell panel now allows you to set the "per item" buyout price for a stack of items
- Sell panel now allows you to set the number of auctions to create as well as the stack size without having to pop up a separate dialog window
- Buy panel will now shows all items that match rather than just exact matches. So if you search on Scarlet Ruby you will see a summary of all the various cuts of Scarlet Ruby and their lowest prices. Clicking on any particular line in the buy summary, drills down to show the standard Auctionator summary for just that exact item.
- Checking all your active auctions for undercuts can now be stopped.
- When checking for your active auctions for undercuts, you may choose to automatically cancel any of your auctions that are not the lowest priced auctions.
- Now uses the built-in vendor prices.

Version 2.2.8
-Separate scanning databases for Horde/Alliance auction houses
-Separate scanning databases for different realms (servers) if you have toons on more than one realm
-Localization support for German (thanks Ckaotic) and Russian (thanks StingerSoft)
-Fixed a bug that would sometimes leave a shadow over the UI after pressing escape
-Fixed a bug where the Create Auction button was semi-permanently disabled if there was no info about a particular item being sold
-Patched RecipeKnown and Lootlink if present so that they no longer cause system lockups after Full Scans
-Relaxed the 15 items limit on Shopping Lists. Limit is now 50 items.
-Fixed a bug that was preventing disenchant info from being displayed in locales other than English

Version 2.2.7

- Now works with version 0.80 through 0.91 of Lilsparky's Workshop
-Changed the undercutting to be based on the per item price rather than the stack price
-Fixed the bug where a manually set buyout price was only used for the first auction when creating multiple auctions

- When you Create Multiple Auctions, if you change the stack size, Auctionator will remember and will default to that stack size the next time you Create Multiple Auctions for that item.
- Auctionator can now be configured even if you're not at the AH. This is particularly helpful for configuring tooltips. To configure, just bring up the standard Interface dialog, click on the Addons tab and select Auctionator.

- Fixed the bug with Automatically Resetting Duration. It should work now.

- Tooltips are now configurable.
- BOP and Quest Items are recognized better and will not display "unknown" for auction pricing.
- When creating multiple auctions you can now specify the stack size. You no longer have to "pre-split" a stack.

Version 2.2.2

2.2.2 is just a bug fix release.

- Fixed the bug that was causing a LUA error to appear for new users who didn't have any PRICING HISTORY.

when i check up my auction using the "MORE" tab, after ten or so click on my auction i get an auction showing up as empty, if i close the auction window and reopen it then the auction shows up with it's value, but then again after 10 or more clicks on the more tab i stumble on another empty auction (which is not).

Bug Report

Today when buying candles on my priest, I was buying a stack and was told

"Auctionator has been blocked from an action only availible to the Blizzard UI. You can disable <blah blah etc>".

I had not yet visited the AH on this particular login.

I haven't figured out how to replicate this bug.

Yeah me too

And I believe Xinhuan was talking about : (first 2 -> toc)

Code:
## LoadManagers: AddonLoader
## X-LoadOn-Auctionhouse: true

if (event == "AUCTION_HOUSE_SHOW" or AuctionFrame:IsVisible()) then
    Atr_OnLoad()
end

I've noticed that after upgrading to the last version of Auctionator, standard Blizzard target casting bars had the same text color as "'Buy" / "Sell" / "More..." tabs in Auctionator. It's not a problem, but at first it was really annoying.

I believe text on casting bars without latest Auctionator was in different, yellow gold color.

This one is pretty easy to solve. During ADDON_LOADED, check if the AH frame is open, if it is, call your AUCTION_HOUSE_SHOW event function yourself directly. Postal does this with the mailbox.

Hmmm... not sure why this would have suddenly become a problem. Auctioneer doesn't seem to be hiding its frames when other addons tabs are selected. For now, you can work around it by always selecting one of the blizzard tabs (Browse, Bids, Auctions) after selecting an Auctioneer tab. I'll see if there's anything I can do on my end to fix it.

Xinhuan,

I think I found the problem that was causing Auctionator to break other mod-key addons. Turns out I already was properly checking for AuctionFrame:IsShown and IsAltKeyDown. But in 3.02 Blizz added a self parameter to the ContainerFrameItemButton_OnModifiedClick function and I wasn't passing that.

Regarding LoadOnDemand, I tried it but then backed it out. There's a problem that I don't get an AUCTION_HOUSE_SHOW event the first time the AH is opened if I do it this way. It's not so easy to work around this.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions,
Zirco

Hi Zirco, I have a suggestion, and an issue.

Suggestion: Put ## LoadWith: Blizzard_AuctionUI and ## LoadOnDemand: 1 in the TOC so that your addon only loads when you visit the AH. There is no reason to have it loaded otherwise. This means you have to shift some of your initialization functions from PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD and PLAYER_LOGIN to ADDON_LOADED (and arg1="Auctionator").

Issue: Auctionator currently hooks the bag Alt-clicks and is failing to call the original function. Since Auctionator only applies the hook on visiting the AH, this effectively breaks all addons that also hook Alt-clicks selectively such as AltClickToAddItem, Postal and Revelation.

How to fix it: In your Alt-click hook, check for IsAltKeyDown() and AuctionFrame:IsShown(). If both are true, then perform your function for moving the item to the AH window, else call the original function you hooked. Currently, you are only check for Alt key, and not passing the function call.

Posting Multiple Auctions

I'm having an issue with Auctionator when posting multiple auctions.

At some point, it will stop posting new auctions and I have to start it again. Sometimes it is after 2, sometimes it is after 100. Unfortunately I can't reliably reproduce it and I don't get any error messages.

Thanks for writing this. I just ditched Auctioneer, which is a bloated, buggy mess, AFAIK. This does just what I need and no more.

However, the UI could be improved by removing the Create Multiple Auction button and adding stack size and stack number fields, like Auctioneer.

(1) Splitting stacks is several extra mouse clicks per auction. Given that Auctionator is a time-saving tool, removing steps should be high priority.

(2) The Create Multiple Auctions button is inconsistent with the rest of Auctionator's interface; it shows a summary of information already available on the previous screen, and adds one additional field (number of stacks).

You can fix both #1 and #2 by simply having a stack [number] x [size] fields on that main interface. You can make the stack size default to the stack dropped, maintaining the current behavior for people used to the current interface.

If you're too busy to implement this, I'd be happy to do it for you. If you don't, I'll end up doing it to my local copy anyway (I have lots of addons I've customized like this), but it would be better if it was in the official version, so that future bug fixes and updates contain it.

Lemme know what you think.

EDIT: I can see why you did it this way -- your current layout fits the artwork for the auction frame. I can definitely find a way to accommodate the new field such that the addon still looks great.

Ahh... It's unfortunate then that I usually auction no more than 2 of the same glyph at a time. The 5 stack was merely an example.
