Why pick Auctionator?
  • Auctionator makes it easy and fun to buy, sell and manage your auctions.

  • Auctionator uses resources very efficiently, needing less that 3 MB of your computer's memory.

The most complete and up-to-date information on Auctionator can be found at auctionator-addon.com
  Change Log - Auctionator
Version 2.4.6

- Fixed a bug that causes errors for brand-new Auctionator users

Version 2.4.5

- Fixed a bug in the selling options that was causing them not to work for categories

Version 2.4.4

- Fixed the remaining bugs where buying might hang WoW
- Added a new options panel for Selling that allows you to specify your selling preferences (5 stacks of 10, max, stacks of 1, etc)
- Converted Auctionator options screens to standard WoW options interface
- Changed the anti-spam feature to allow you to have at most 40 single-stack auctions posted at a time but relaxed the limitation of only being able to post 10 at a time

Version 2.4.3

- Fixed the bug where buying multiple auctions would freeze WoW
- Added the French translations
- Fixed the bug where the deposit amount wasn't changing when the auction duration was changed
- Glyphs now automatically default to stack size of 1
- Fixed the bug where WoWecon and GoingPrice info wasn't always displayed

Version 2.4.2

- Fixed the bug where the square "Sell Button" in the upper left became inoperable after the first auction.

Version 2.4.1

- Fixed the bug where Auctionator spams the chat after a full scan
- Fixed the bug that was causing an error when opening the AH if "Default Auctionator Tab" was set to "none"
- Cleaned up some code related to dragging items to the small square sell "button" in the upper left of the sell pane - not sure this'll fix the problems a few folks have been seeing.

Version 2.4.0

- Sell panel now allows you to set the "per item" buyout price for a stack of items
- Sell panel now allows you to set the number of auctions to create as well as the stack size without having to pop up a separate dialog window
- Buy panel will now shows all items that match rather than just exact matches. So if you search on Scarlet Ruby you will see a summary of all the various cuts of Scarlet Ruby and their lowest prices. Clicking on any particular line in the buy summary, drills down to show the standard Auctionator summary for just that exact item.
- Checking all your active auctions for undercuts can now be stopped.
- When checking for your active auctions for undercuts, you may choose to automatically cancel any of your auctions that are not the lowest priced auctions.
- Now uses the built-in vendor prices.

Version 2.3.6
-The MORE tab can now be set as the default
-Added Check for Undercuts feature. One click will scan all active auctions and indicate with an icon next to each whether you've been undercut for that item
-Fixed a bug in Create Multiple Auctions that was keeping it from working correctly for users with one or more item-family-specific bags (eg. enchanting, herb, ...)
-Fish feasts and other feasts are no longer listed as BOP in item tooltips
-Added Swedish localization file (thanks HellManiac)
-Added a console command to clear the full scan DB: /atr clear fullScanDB

Version 2.3.5
-Fixed internal version number (in TOC)

Version 2.3.4
-Works with patch 3.1

Version 2.2.8
-Separate scanning databases for Horde/Alliance auction houses
-Separate scanning databases for different realms (servers) if you have toons on more than one realm
-Localization support for German (thanks Ckaotic) and Russian (thanks StingerSoft)
-Fixed a bug that would sometimes leave a shadow over the UI after pressing escape
-Fixed a bug where the Create Auction button was semi-permanently disabled if there was no info about a particular item being sold
-Patched RecipeKnown and Lootlink if present so that they no longer cause system lockups after Full Scans
-Relaxed the 15 items limit on Shopping Lists. Limit is now 50 items.
-Fixed a bug that was preventing disenchant info from being displayed in locales other than English

Version 2.2.7

- Now works with version 0.80 through 0.91 of Lilsparky's Workshop
-Changed the undercutting to be based on the per item price rather than the stack price
-Fixed the bug where a manually set buyout price was only used for the first auction when creating multiple auctions
-Fixed a bug that was causing disconnects for Russian users
-Added localization infrastructure - now I just need volunteers to provide translations
-Fixed the bug that was changing the text color of the enemy castbar

Version 2.2.6

- You can now buy more than one stack of a particular item at a time.
- When you Create Multiple Auctions, if you change the stack size, Auctionator will remember and will default to that stack size the next time you Create Multiple Auctions for that item.
- Auctionator can now be configured even if you're not at the AH. This is particularly helpful for configuring tooltips. To configure, just bring up the standard Interface dialog, click on the Addons tab and select Auctionator.
- Fixed the minor bug where prices under the Other tab were being undercut
- Fixed the bug with GetAuctionBuyout when passed a link
- Fixed the bug with Automatically Resetting Duration. It should work now.
- Fixed a bug that was very infrequently causing a LUA error

Version 2.2.5

- fixed a bug that was causing errors if you had the starting price discount set to 0

Version 2.2.4

- fixed a small bug in 2.2.3 (oops)

Version 2.2.3

- Tooltips now (optionally) show estimated disenchanting value
- Tooltips now (optionally) show what an item will disenchant into, along with probabilities and required enchanting skill level
- Tooltips are now configurable.
- BOP and Quest Items are recognized better and will not display "unknown" for auction pricing.
- When creating multiple auctions you can now specify the stack size. You no longer have to "pre-split" a stack.

Version 2.2.2

2.2.2 is just a bug fix release.

- Fixed the bug that was causing a LUA error to appear for new users who didn't have any PRICING HISTORY.
- Fixed the bug that was causing errors for users using Tekkub's Panda mod
- Fixed the bug where no auction was highlighted initially when selecting items on the MORE tab

Version 2.2.1

- Fixed some bugs including some related to posting multiple auctions
- Holding the shift key down when an item tooltip is showing, displays the vendor and auction prices for a stack rather than the per-item price
- Moved the Buy confirmation dialog closer to the Buy button
- Improved the memory footprint
- Added support for Tekkub's APIs GetSellValue and GetAuctionPrice. Some of Tekkub's addons should now work with Auctionator.

Version 2.2.0

- Added an option to display vendor and auction house pricing in item tooltips throughout the game
- Added the ability to scan the auction house in order to create a database to use for tooltip pricing information and for occasions where there are no current auctions to use as a basis for pricing recommendations

True, but if you click Just Check, then you can click Stop Checking as soon as the popup disappears.

I can see how that would be useful - I'll give it some thought.

I do really like the ability to have history and I use it all the time! I was just wondering if an option or indicator to only display the price from the last scan would be something doable.

Usually items that aren't on the AH such as gems, glyphs, enchants, consumables, can be sold well.

Just a thought! Thanks for the awesome addon.

Either that or set the default way to 48 hours so if it's really necessary to set a 12 hour auction it can still be done but by default it's set for longest exposure on the auction house.

Keep up the good work.
Actually, it's already in the current version. On the Basic Options page you can set a default duration. Let me know if it's not working.

Since I had the day off I took some time trying to debug this. It appears what is happening is for some reason or another after posting, sometimes the event "AUCTION_OWNED_LIST_UPDATE" doesn't fire, and the gAutoSellState stays stuck in the AUCTION_POST_PENDING status. If I actually leave it sitting for about 1-2 minutes it eventually does fire and post another auction, but for example I just posted 20 stacks of runecloth, it took 14 minutes to do so. It would do 2 or 3 and than pause for a few minutes, repeat. It's odd.
This problem has been around forever but only seems to affect a small number of users. Might be server-dependent. At any rate, thanks to your debugging I now have a pretty good idea how to fix it.

Thanks so much,
Zirco

Hi there,

Firstly, thanks for the great add-on. It's absolutely my favorite auction mod!

Anyhow, I was wondering if it was possible to slightly change the default behavior of the "alt-click" posting method.

For example, suppose I have 5 identical gems in my bag that I'd like to post. When I alt-click on 1 gem to start the posting process, Auctionator will display the option to post "1 stack of 1".

What I would like it to do is, instead of defaulting to post "1 stack of 1", can it default to post "5 stacks of 1", or "8 stacks of 1", or whatever the max amount of that item are in my bags?

Could you please point me to the line of code I can modify to achieve this? As someone who is constantly using the AH, this would be extremely helpful for me.

Thanks!

Does anyone else have problems when creating multiple auctions? Everytime I go to sell some cloth, I will set it to list say 10 stacks of 20. It'll start posting, and than just stop posting sometimes after the first, sometimes after 3, it's random. But I've rarely ever got it to actually put all the stacks up. Than I have to actually go back to the Browse tab and search for something else to get it to actually come back to life as well, so that I can even try again.

Do you run with "Display LUA Errors" enabled?

If you're up for it, you could use a text editor to open the Auctionator.lua file in the SavedVariables folder:

World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YOURACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables

Then look to see if one of the missing items is listed in the AUCTIONATOR_PRICE_DATABASE section.

Yes I run with lua errors enabled and I'm not getting any with Auctionator. I'll check the Auctionator saved variables when I get home from work and let you know if the items in question are in it or not.

*none of the items are in the Auctionator saved variables.

Did you delete the WTF data for your "backup" auction addon as well?

Yes, I deleted saved variables for all addons in both the "general" saved variables folder and the char specific folder. The thing is, for these items I have that Auctionator is no longer finding auctions for the other auction addon does successfully scan prices for them. I can also manually search for them and find them on the AH.

I prefer auctionator over all the others, not necessarily for mem usage but because it has MUCH lower cpu polling then the others. And up until Tue it just always worked and is exactly what I need.

Let me know if I'm not making any sense, it's still too early in the morning for me.....
