Explanation
Once i experienced Lua for the first time, i've ever since dreamed about making my very own tooltip.
Someday i really did it, and i've learned much trough this addon. It has grown very much since the release back then.

What can lolTip do?
lolTip features following Stuff:

  • Unitnames colors in class/reactioncolor
  • Level displayed in difficultycolor
  • Own Guild Coloring
  • Show GuildRank, GuildRankName next to the Guild
  • Target on the topright if exists
  • RaidIcon
  • Anchor changeable to follow the mouse
  • Hides Playertitles in Tooltip
  • Nicer Style if PvP is activated on mouseoverunit
  • ItemQualitycolored tooltipborders
  • Healthbar inside the Tooltip
  • Modifiable HealthBar-values in different Styles
    -percentage (37%)
    -numeral (3489/5000)
    -shortened (42.3k)
    -diff (-29399)
    -They also can be mixed up like diff and shortened (-37.4k)
  • de/activateable modules
    -Talents
    -disable fading, and hide tooltip instant instead

Modules Q&A
Q:So what are this modules, and why are they there anyway?
A:The modules are tiny additions to the Tooltip not everyone might wants to have activated. So they are deactivatable.
Q:I want module xy.
A:You can a) Request it, or b) make it you own and send it to me per PM, and i'll add it in the next Release. Personally i prefer b, because i want to focus on the main Addon, not the modules, but also want to give the users the chance to habe a customable, yet not bloated Addon.

Other
To modify the border and StatusBartexture, you'll have to replace the blp's. (Also tga's possible)

Configuration
The configuration will be done through lua only.
You may open tip.lua and at the very top you'll find the configuration
Also there is a little config in lolTip\modules\buffs.lua
There you can modify the maxumum auras displayed, the size of them, the x & y offsets and add filters (no worry, a small text from WoWWiki should describe it fairly easy)

You really need to take the textures this has out of \Interface\Tooltips. Put them in a mod-only folder for the mod to acquire them from, like every other addon does.

As it is, it creates a big problem for people who may want to disable the mod after install and did not pay close attention to where the files unzipped to. When the mod is disabled, the two textures it uses (UI-StatusBar.blp, UI-Tooltip-Border.blp) will still affect the default Blizzard tooltips.

The textures as they are now also affect any other tooltip mods used instead as well as the look of many other mods, which it should not be doing.

Other than that significant problem, nice work.

You should edit tooltip:SetOwner(parent,"ANCHOR_CURSOR") to tooltip:SetOwner(parent,"ANCHOR_CURSOR", X, X) where "X" is a number of your liking.

Anchoring the tooltip to the cursor was simple enough, but I've been beating my head against a wall trying to get it to offset from the mouse how I want it to. Any ideas?

90% of the time, the gear parts are there, but there are certain occasions where it just disappears :S The mouseover thing has been fixed by deleting this addon that I got from Neal's UI, nCore.

EDIT: Deleting nCore did not fix it :S

Umm, i don't know, but when i'm inspecting somone all GearParts working Perfectly fine, and it doesn't switch to the Mouseovertarget at all. May it be another Addon interfering? Please test if this occours when just activated lolTip.

I seem to be encountering this problem where when I inspect someone, I can't see their gear, just says "Head" or "Boots" in the tooltip :S Not sure if this has been reported already. Also, is there anyway to make it so when you're inspecting someone and mouse over another person that it doesn't switch to that person? Thanks.

I don't know why you have this issue. I in different Areas, different Chars, different Buffs, all seemed to work fine.

Edit: I also get this error every once and again: attempt to concatenate a nil value on line 254 of core.lua.
I think i have a trace what it could be.

I got another problem. I am using QuestHelper, and it must show quest progress on tooltip. But text doesnt fit and i see only part of it.
I'll try to prevent this, hang on.

I am getting this error a lot, but I'm not exactly sure when it happens :\
I think i did a stupid thing, should be fixed with the next update (coming this weekend), sry >.<

There are some buffs that do not produce a tooltip, Elemental Power and Hellfire Superiority are the ones I tested it on.

Hmm, I can mouse over Hellfire Superiority now, but that's because it's the only buff I have on, it seems like the problem is I can't mouseover anything that isn't the first on my buff list :S

Edit: I also get this error every once and again: attempt to concatenate a nil value on line 254 of core.lua.
