OPie is a radial action-binding addon, enabling you to bind groups of infrequently used actions to a ring that appears when you trigger it using a hot key / mouse binding.
Consider some of the common items taking up action bar space:
Short-term quest and instance items
Potions, Health stones, Mana gems
Damage-aborbing shields (when was the last time you used Frost Ward?)
Shapeshifts, stances and mounts
Foods: biscuits, stat buffs, arena water
Situational abilities like resurrects or long-cooldown spells
Equipment manager sets
Download OPie, group those into rings (/rk), bind rings to mouse buttons (/opie), enjoy uncluttered combat in style. See the features page for more detail.
Change Log - OPie
OPie Echo
Ring bindings can now be specified using macro conditionals.
For example: [combat] ALT-F or [flyable] ALT-F; [indoor] CTRL-ALT-F; F
Rings may now be opened and closed from macros (with slice actions trigger on left-clicks).
You can use the OPie Bindings configuration panel to get the relevant macro commands.
Added an option to bind 1-9 keys to a ring's slices while the ring is open.
Added an option to allow a ring to remain open after a left-click action has been performed.

Wonderful addon, brilliant idea and sleek aesthetic build. Along with Funkydude...I have to say that the response speed is kind of sluggish, making it not as powerful as it could be in terms of use during, say, combat when you need to do things quickly.
Another problem I have with it is once calling a ring menu, you really have no other way out of the ring without having to use an ability/menu/etc on that ring. So if I call up a ring and don't want to use something in it...simply releasing the binding will force the closest option to activate. Maybe a option to make the menu static once called (instead of having to hold the binding down), with the ability to escape out?
Very nice, but I'm curious why sensitivity of the ring seems so slow, I have my mouse speed extremely fast, it seems to bog down when selecting an ability.

I have the same problem too...
In order to add my own icons i need to drop it on an already existing icon ... if one does not exist i need to create an icon using the "+" button.
Also I don't get to see icons for macros ... they work but there is no icon there.
And I have a suggestion for a feature ... can you add a setting to change the alpha of the rings when nothing is selected (cursor in the middle) .. i don't really like having to mouse around the ring to see what I have available and where it is on the ring by having to mouse over everything. I'm sure as I use it more I will be able to select on the fly and can change the alpha later when I get used to the rings.

Other than that great job ... going to be using this one.

Originally posted by hipjipp Hi, LOVE the addon after i just tried it out on my druid, but i might've stumbled upon a small bug.
When i try to create a new ring, i cant drop anything into it until after i create a "custom macro" or "automated mount macro" first to drop spells on... Can this be fixed? Really annoying in my opinion.
Keep it up, Hipjipp
You should be able to drop the spell/item/macro within about 60 pixels down from the text explaining that you can drop things into the frame -- it appears to work fine for me. If you could, post a couple of screenshots illustrating where you're attempting to drop what.

Yes, indeed. After I've read the description, the addon reminded me a bit of Sprocket which was one of my favourite addons before it was broken. I will definately try this out over the next days
