Hi there. This is my Diablo 3 themed interface for World of Warcraft. Enjoy.

If you want to help me test the UI on the PTR use this version and report issues in the comments. This version is PTR only, it won't work on live.

Since more and more leaked downloads of my interface appear on the internet, please remember: There is only one official download of the Roth UI. And that is this one, on wowinterface.com. All other downloads available are leaked and are not officially supported by me. Only this one is ZORKIFIED!
Installation
  1. Open your World of Warcraft folder. Save your "Interface" and your "Fonts" folder. You may not have the Fonts folder yet, no problem, just ignore it. To do that just copy the folders and put them somewhere else (backup copy).
  2. Now delete your "Interface" and your "Fonts" folder inside your World of Warcraft folder.
  3. Download RothUI and save the zip-file to your Desktop.
  4. Copy the folders included in the zip-file into your World of Warcraft folder. (Not your AddOns, your World of Warcraft folder!) The zip-file includes a "Interface" and a "Fonts" folder.
  5. Start World of Warcraft. If you had it open while copying, restart it now to load the textures.
  6. Join a server and have fun
  7. If you don't like the scaling or something doesn't fit, hit the escape-key while in-game and go to the graphic settings. Now activate the UI-scaling checkbox and move the slider. Hit OK and see what you got. Move it until you like the settings.
    Same goes for the chat. If it doesn't fit just right-click the chat-tab. Unlock the chat and move it around until you feel comfortable.
  8. If the stance/aurabar is in your way just move it. Read all the info pages and the FAQ for more.

Scaling
rBuff, oUF_D3Orbs, rMinimap, jExp, sTooltip, rActionBarStyler can be scaled to your liking. Use UI-scale or use the scaling variable(s) inside the lua files.
Performance Tweaks for Low End Computers
If you are running a low end machine and want to use this UI always make sure your graphic settings are set up correctly and no FPS hungry options are active. Additionally I am using some addons that make use of events that get triggered quite often. You may see an increase in FPS if you disable these addons (in your addons list on your character selection screen):

  • Type "/console reloadui" to reload your interface after you changed (and saved) sth. in a *.lua file.

Hi Zork!

Erstmal danke für das endgeile Interface. Zwei Fragen hätte ich da noch:

- Fokus setzen
Wo mach ich das jetzt?

- UI-Skalierung
Ich habs auf 100% aber bei 1920x1200 sind die Buttons in den Leisten doch um etliches kleiner als normal, wenn ich die Buttons via .lua größer mache, passen sie nicht mehr in den Hintergrund. Ideen wie man es größer bekommt?

- readycheck Ergebnis in Form der grafischen Zeichen für Zu- oder Absagen fehlt?

- wo seh ich denn die aktuelle Mob-Aggro?

(hoffentlich keine zu dämlichen Fragen)

Changing Raid Frame Names Alpha

Hey i love your ui just wondering how i make a change to the raid frames.

when the unit is below 100% health it shows the missing hp on the frame(ex:-528)
when it shows that the name of that unit disappears and is replaced by the missing hp text. I was wondering if its possible to make the name just lower to about 75% opacity when the unit dips below 100% hp.

any help with this would be great ive tried to poke threw the lua but cannot find where the name is overwritten by the missing hp text

I am new to installing your UI mod and I love the look of it! I was wondering though, how to I enable to frames that show what skill I need to have in order to skin, mine or herb an item? Also, how do I enable if I have an ingame error such as "Im too low level to skin that item" or The one if the player already has a stronger buff on them or I cant cast something. In the standard blizzard UI these come up at red warnings in middle of my screen.

New Version

First off I really wanted to thank you for such an amazing UI. It is by far the best one I have ever used. It would make me a sad panda to have to play without the Roth UI. I see you have a new version out. How do I save my action bar settings when I upgrade? I have made other layout changes like the location of the action bars as well. I looked over the faq and didn't see a way I know I could backup the rActoionbars folder but I didn't know if any update were made to it. Do I have to start from scratch?

hey!

this really looks awesome im currently using it, but i have 2 questions... spent an hour looking thru comments but couldnt find anything

1. i removed the cast bar for quartz but there is a button in the way of it where id like it to sit, because im a shadowpriest i have shadowform taking up room for my cast bar... how do i remove that button? or better just move it?

2. is there a way to change the width of the raid frames?


I found my solution to 1. but i cant work out 2.

Few questions...

First of all thanks for this great UI compilation. Many things i left untouched, but few things i have changed. I would like to change also others, but i dont know what to exactly change in lua files. So:
a)can i move toolitip somehow? It covers some parts of my UI
b)how can i disable focustarget?
c)how can i enable "target of target", "focus" and "target castbar" only in raid/party? While soloing those things are needless for me. If it cant be set that way then how to disabled it totally?
d)can i enlarge only "target frame" without enlarging "target of target frame"? I have changed "cast bar" but i noticed tot frame and target frame have the same background.
d)how can i resize separetly focus and partyscale. I dont want to have sheep as big as others portraits.
e)how to change way that buffs/debuffs are displayed under "target frame"? Now they are shown beside frame and i would like to change it so they would be displayed under it.

evl_Chat is not part of this compilations. Thanks for blaming me for an error that is caused by the person infront of your monitor.

Minimap can be moved in rMinimap.lua

rBuff and Titanpanel hate each other. Deactivate Titanpanel or rBuff.

Some Probs

hi,
i have the nice UI installed today and i have some probs/questions.
1. how can i move the minmap a bit down?
2. how can i put the buffs etc. to the left of the minimap because at the moment they are at the right side and i can not see them



please help me!!
