Roth UI (Diablo)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 60200.01
by: zork [More]

Hi there. This is my Diablo themed interface for World of Warcraft, called Roth UI. Enjoy.
Since more and more leaked downloads of my interface appear on the internet, please remember: There is only one official download of the Roth UI. And that is this one, on wowinterface.com. All other downloads available are leaked and are not officially supported by me.
Only this one is ZORKIFIED!
If you are a first time Roth UI user you may want to check the tutorial video from Tachi showing the installation process.
How To Install and Configure Roth UI
  1. Open your World of Warcraft folder.
  2. Backup your "Interface" folder. (Copy it somewhere save!)
  3. Now: Delete the "Interface" folder inside your World of Warcraft folder.
  4. Download Roth UI and save the ZIP-file to your Desktop.
  5. The ZIP-file includes a "Interface" and a "Fonts" folder. Copy both folders into your World of Warcraft folder.
  6. Start World of Warcraft. (If you had it open while copying, restart it now to load the textures.)
  7. Before logging in make sure all the addons are activated correctly.
  8. Login and have fun playing!

  1. Do not use any auto updater for addons in this compilation, they can mess stuff up.
  2. If you don't like the scaling or something doesn't fit, hit the escape-key while in-game and go to the graphic settings. Now activate the UI-scaling checkbox and move the slider. Hit OK and see what you got. Move it until you like the settings.
Same goes for the chat. If it doesn't fit just right-click the chat-tab. Unlock the chat and move it around until you feel comfortable.
  3. Only want to change the scale of the bottom bar panel and the actionbars? Read this FAQ
  4. How to change / disable the fluid orb animation system? Type in /diablo config
  5. How to move frames??? Read this FAQ
  6. Colors inverted?! Read this FAQ
  7. Want to edit the actionbars? Look at rActionBarStyler/config.lua and read the info page.
  8. Other questions? Try: Roth UI FAQ
  9. Want to edit unitframes? Look at oUF_Diablo/config.lua and read the info page.

When patch 5.2 hit the live servers a new version of oUF_Diablo was applied. Large parts of oUF_Diablo got rewritten, that includes large parts of the config.lua containing the orb animation settings. Most of those settings can then be changed via ingame config. The config can be accessed via

/diablo config

If you need a tutorial video check out Cryptus Roth UI tutorial video for 5.2

[Guide] Addon Roth UI (interface diablo pour wow)

With 4.009+ the fluid animations have returned to Roth UI. With version 50200.03 you can config all those animations ingame via: /diablo config. Have fun playing around with the settings. Video showing one of the 100+ animations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqTwOHXSlw8

Open up stooltip.lua in your favorite text editor. Scroll all the way down to the bottom.

tooltip:SetOwner(parent, "ANCHOR_NONE");
tooltip:SetOwner(parent, "ANCHOR_CURSOR");
Comment out the next line by putting --, example.

Do no use my SavedVariable file for MSBT or create a new profile. Just delete it and create your own.

Also, is there anyway to get the tooltips to appear at the cursor instead of in the bottom-right corner?
Disable sTooltip and use TipTac or sth like that. It has ingame options.

Finally - is there any way to get rid of the two textures that are to the sides of the orbs? They are taking up some space I need for my text windows.
Tried scaling? If not read the info pages. You would have to comment out the angel and the demon frame to get rid of both textues. But easiest way would be to rename the demon and the angel texture file.

roth UI questions

Love the UI Roth, really great stuff

a few quick questions

My scrolling combat text is coming up with what look like German words - how do I change that? I've tried everything.

Also, is there anyway to get the tooltips to appear at the cursor instead of in the bottom-right corner?

Finally - is there any way to get rid of the two textures that are to the sides of the orbs? They are taking up some space I need for my text windows.

Thx, keep up the great work.

Hey ive been reading through the comments and trying to set up the config file, thing is im using perl for my raid/party icons, so ineed to remove the portraits from appearing at all, i managed to get rid of the pet displaying but when i join a group i still get the others on the tope left of the screen. I'm also still having trouble changing the colors of the health bars.

I appreciate you patience and any help you give me. Simple as possible also, not very common with this scripting language.

Hey Zork love the UI just trying to change a few things to my liking and I have NO experience with this LUA coding. Though through your configs and instructions I have figured out some basics of moving things around. I'm having trouble with 2 things I'd like to be able to change though.

1. I play mutiple classes so having the orbs set to one specific color bothers me. I would like a way to have the color of the power orb change based on my character if that's possible.

2. I have figured out how to move the target and ToT frames more to my liking, but I can't figure out if it's possible to move the buffs/debuffs on the target frame as i would like them to be on the opposite side of where you have them.

if you can help with either of these things it would be greatly appreciated.

Party frames

Hey, I got a small problem with the config in the lua code.

I find the party/target/castbars to be worse then other alternatives (though I simply love the player frame orbs ), and therefor want to turn them off.
A simple task with the guidelines you gave... or so I thought.
My target frame code looks like this now:

--oUF:Spawn("target","ouf_target"):SetPoint(colors2.frame_positions[3].a1, colors2.frame_positions[3].af, colors2.frame_positions[3].a2,

And that works brilliant, (have done so with all the others also), the --[[ ]]-- also worked great for the cast bar. The party frame however is the problem.

local party = oUF:Spawn("header", "oUF_Party")
party:SetPoint(colors2.frame_positions[7].a1, colors2.frame_positions[7].af, colors2.frame_positions[7].a2, colors2.frame_positions[7].x, colors2.frame_positions[7].y)
--party:SetManyAttributes("showParty", true, "xOffset", 10, "point", "RIGHT", "showPlayer", false)
party:SetManyAttributes("showParty", true, "xOffset", 80, "point", "LEFT")

Is how it looks, and I think I have tried everything now... -- infront of the line, -- infront of the oUF:Spawn and --[[ ]]-- (which is also the only solution that will show the amazing D3 art frame <3 ). But it keeps showing a lua bug window, which I of course could just turn off, but the fact that it is there annoys me.
Help would be awesome.

Read the info pages of rothui and oUF_D3Orbs. What you are looking for is called scaling. Set the myscale variables to the values you like.

The raid frames have a black border. It will turn in the debuffcolor if a debuff that you can dispell is found. Just hover the unit and press your decurse keybind which should include the [target=mouseover] condition.

My druid uses this macro for example:
/cast [target=mouseover,exists,nodead] Lifebloom
/cast [target=target,exists,nodead] Lifebloom
/cast [target=player,exists,nodead] Lifebloom
Mouseover priority first. If no mouseover then target, else player. Just hover something and hit your keybind.

Please read the info pages. Most of you ask questions that are getting answered there.

Health bar

Hey, great interface, like the look, still trying to get used to it but i wondered if it was possible to change the healthbars back to the normal coloring, so they start of fully green and obviously decrease as and when. Can't get used the the black bar (or dark red)

Raid Group

hey zork,

wonderful, your UI is growing better and better.. i missed this raid group in your earlier versions & used samrtdebuff additional to your UI (looks similar than your version with my configuration SB)..

but i love the smartdebuff functions. i play a undead mage & a very important job as mage as we all know is decursing .. SB shows cursed players and provides fast decursing because i only have to left klick on the SB player frame. is it possible to realize this great function with your raid party tool?

You can edit the texture in photoshop and use your's instead of the one provided.

But then you have to use somehing like Dominos or Bartender.
