    Ever have a problem going through a merchant's or the auction house's list of recipes, schematics, or patterns, and trying to quickly figure out which ones you already know and which ones you don't?

    Well, fret no more, cause RecipeKnown is here!

    RecipeKnown will send out brilliant little Gnomes* with a magic crayonbox, and color all the recipes you already know! It'll even color recipes your alternate characters know!


    * Note: These Gnomes are not intelligent. You must open your tradeskill windows at least once before they'll know what recipes to color!

    To access the command-lines, simply type /recipeknown or /rk!


    All of my Addons can now be downloaded from one convenient spot!

    - 5.0.x TOC support.
    - Added 4.3-5.1 Pets.
    - Lockbox Tooltips will now state the profession/skill the person uses to open the box.
    - Lockbox Tooltips will now list people who can learn recipes that will open the box.
    - People with multiple skills that can open Lockboxes will now have all their skills shown. So Rogue Engineer Blacksmiths will have 3 listings on the Lockbox tooltips.
    - Fixed a lockbox bug that wouldn't list anyone unless at least 1 person could unlock the box.
    - Fixed a bug that would think the Rope Pet Leash was actually a pet.
    - Update and Scan functions will now properly update Cooking and First Aid.
    - Fixed a scanning bug.

    - 4.2 Update
    - Tooltips now work with Pets! (No coloring yet.)
    - Updated Database.
    - RecipeKnown now works in the zhCN locale, thanks to simshi on WoWInterface!
    - Lockbox tooltips now list Blacksmiths and Engineers who can fashion keys or explosives that can open them.
    - Fixed some coloring issues. Recipes will now color the way they were meant to!
    - Fixed a bug where Recipes for pets would think they ARE pets.
    - Fixed a bug that would spam the unknown pet message. These messages will now display only once.
    - Removed Keys and their functions.

    They should remove the "working 4.0.1 tag" :V

    Could you give me some more information? What doesn't work? Are you getting an error message? If so, what is it?

    Cause it's working fine for me in 4.0.1.

    I've it enabled on my banking alt, it show as "Leanable by the main" all the recipe, also no coloring and gives an error ("Command not found") when i try to open the options.

    Since i resetted the UI folder probably it is unable "to learn" the recipe from the main? I've opened the tradeskill windows btw

    For me, it dosn`t do anything.

    If I type in /recipeknown WoW just tells me Recipeknown: Command not found.

    So theres no menu for me, nothing to setup, and theres no colour at all on any recipe

    You just need to open your professions, and it should read the data. When it finds a recipe it can color, it should color it. Meaning, open your Cooking profession (for example) then go to the auction house, and look up Cooking recipes. The ones you already know should color green. Ones you can't learn should be red, and ones you CAN learn should be the normal color. (This is assuming you don't have an addon like Auctioneer that changes the way recipes look in the search function.)

    There currently are no command-lines. I haven't had a chance to add them back in, and I'm still working on an visual interface. Sad part is, I'm out of game time, so I can't finish this right now...

    --Tooltips now work with Pets! (No coloring yet.)

    I've been awaiting this type of support for a long time. I do have a request though. In addition to companions, could you add in support for mounts as well? That alone would be fantastic.

    Additionally, I use an addon called Zookeeper. It appears that when it is enabled. There is some difficulty in RecipeKnown reading the list of companions. It wasn't until I disabled Zookeeper was RK able to populate my toons list of companions. I was hoping to get these two addon playing nicely together as they are both very great tools.

    I've actually had that support for a while now on my code-server over on GoogleCode. Anyone can download the latest patches and code from there. I only package them up when there's an immediate release need or when I have a good number of updates.

    Mount support is on my to-do list! I'll see about stepping up the time-table though.

    As for Zookeeper, I'll look into it and see what I can do! There shouldn't be an issue unless Zookeeper hijacks Blizzard's pet-count functions...

    Addon isn't working. No recipes are colored except for the normal red ones I can't learn and I keep getting this error on all my toons when I first open a vendor selling any recipes:

    Hmm... You can try moving your wtf/Account/(account name)/SavedVariables/recipeknown.lua file out of that directory, and load WoW. That might fix it. If not, then move it back. I'll get a fix in place for the next release, just in case...

    Tried, no change......addon is disabled until a fix is released. Hope it's soon!

    I would, but I don't have any money for game-time, so any changes I make would be untested, and I don't like releasing addons like that...

    RecipeKnown does not have a record for Festival Lantern (Itemid: 74611). Please give this information to the development team, so they can add it.
