Simple Buff Bars  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

This is meant as a simple buff bar mod, includes strictly what is needed for configuration, while you cannot configure every single aspect of this you are given enough that you shouldn't have any issues getting it to look how you want. Includes support for target, focus and pet bars (If enabled) as well.

Supports SharedMedia for different textures and fonts.

Type /sbb (or /simplebuffbars) for configuration.

I really like how simple these bars are. I'm stuck using elkano's right now. I really want to switch to these, but there are some small details about SBB that bug me:

You can't create a separate group for weapon buffs(tempBuffs) only, it's always inside of the "buffs" group.

Because the debuffs group is anchored to the buffs group, if you have no buffs on you and you gain a debuff, it will not be displayed because there is no "buffs" group to anchor it to. This happens when first loading the mod.

I have no plans on adding the ability to separate weapon buffs as it adds a bunch of extra complexity for little benefit that I see.

The second part is a bug and I'll get that fixed

Toran, EBB is a huge bulky ass addon that you have to configure with a shitty tooltip menu that dissappears every time you alter a setting. I much prefer this to EBB. This also has the ease of editing the default config in the lua file. To be honest, I'd rather configure an addon in a text file over anything. I'm a perfectionist minimalist though.

Shadowed, thank you for fixing that bug. I really like your addon. Maybe you could have weapon buffs as a separate group anchored to buffs or debuffs as a default? You don't have to complicate your wonderful minimal mod to do this. I can't speak for everyone, but others switching over from EBB might prefer it too.

I found out how to make tempBuffs a separate group by editing the code. It's going to be rough doing this every time theres an update.

I just took a look at the new version. You made position a variable in the group array! Thank you.

Stuck: If you can come up a good argument for weapon enchants as a separate anchor it'd help. It already stored it as a table thought, it just didn't create the table until you repositioned it the first time so I had to set a default to fix the other positioning bug.

Strongbow: You can't, if theres a few people who want this then I'll add it in.

It just seems to me like weapon buffs are very low priority in contrast to player buffs, which is why I like to dissociate them from each other. It looks a lot cleaner with the weapon buffs as its own group keeping in mind that weapon buff bars and player buff bars are different colors. Of course you could change the colors of the weapon buffs, but that would be counter intuitive because you would then be mixing low priority buffs with player buffs and they wouldn't be easily distinguishable.

Weapon buffs aren't necessarily player buffs. They weren't placed into the BuffFrame until months and months after release.

I'm not just asking you to add this for me. It is just a suggestion. Right now the way I have it set up: the weapon buffs group that I made is anchored to debuffs (which is anchored to buffs), and if the debuffs group isn't visible, the weapon buffs group is anchored to the buffs group.

Good enough argument, I still prefer them in the buff frame so I'll see if I can come up with a good way of showing them inside that anchor, or in it's own.

While raiding last night in Sunwell, whenever I died and released, I'd get a duplicate temporary enchants bar in the middle of my screen. By the location and size, it appeared to be using the default location and size. Reloading the UI would fix it until I had to release again.

Just a note, I set the temporary enchants to be anchored to my debuff bar, so that it's the first one showing on the list.
