Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.

So is there no way to keep white attacks from merging? I tried "Attack" and "Melee Swing" in the merge exclusions.. and those don't work so yeah need a confirmation

You can modify the lua file if you want to get it lower. Open MSBTOptionsTabs.lua and find the comment:

No there isn't currently a way to disable auto-attack merging. I have it planned for the WotLK version though.

I'm planning to add an event for that in the future. You could create a trigger for it in the mean time though.

This should do it:

Output Message: %e Dispelled!
Main Event: Aura Dispel
Source Unit Affiliation - Is Equal To - You
Aura Type - Is Equal To - Debuff

Then you can set it to whatever scroll area and visual style you prefer.

Hey mik!

sorry if this has been mentioned before but i saw someone on the wow forums mention something about it.....is there anyway (or in the wotlk version) to put the damage above the target's head instead of just one spot? that way when i aoe i dont have a line of numbers filling up my scren down the middle. Id much rather have it above the targets head.

If you can't oh well i still love this addon 100%

That is commonly requested, but unfortunately AddOns are not allowed to the get the location of 3D objects (such as enemy players) and therefore it isn't possible. Blizzard has made it clear they don't intend to allow it either.

Unless you've disabled merging, the AoE should be fairly consolidated into single events with damage amounts summed.

There is an option in MSBT to enable "Game Damage" on the general tab which will show the default Blizzard damage that appears over the enemy's heads, but then you lose all the other capabilities for outgoing damage.

So sorry to make you repeat yourself. I appreciate the education Maybe one day they might let us. There wouldnt be anyway to anchor that text from the bars that come up over the targets head (pressing v) would there? Probably not just a thought tho. I think ill stick with mergeing the still into one big number for now. its nice to see how much each blast is hitting the target for before my eyes. But ill just take a gander at my combat log for that info. Great mod mik Everywhere i go i tell people to use your mod. Its perfect. (good god that was some brown nosin' :P)

Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm particularly interested in merged data as I'm 5 boxing shamans, It would be nice to get a display of how hard that volley of 5x chain lightning hits on all targets as a merged scrolly .

A small issue: when my Vampiric Touch gets resisted the resist sometimes trigger gets delayed for a few seconds. The other resists seem to work ok.

Vampiric Touch is being throttled by default to help control the mana spam the results from it. What you are seeing is a result of that throttling. You could remove it from the throttle list, but then you'd get spammed with +xxx Mana gains.

For Skill Cooldown... Is it possible to use items such as trinkets for this?

I tried typing "Hex Shrunken Head" or "Mojo Madness" (the buff u get from the trinket), but neither worked.

No, the skill cooldown event is only for abilities and spells. Trinkets and pet cooldowns aren't currently supported. They're on my list of things to do, but I haven't been able to get to it yet.

M8 i dont think the Game Damaged font are Friz.

The font on the right are Friz the SS crit, u said Friz is the font used for Game Damaged Font but i think it isnt coz the numbers in the middle im looking for the name of that font coz i get that font when i check Game Damaged option. So the 2 fonts are different and the right 1 is Friz and the name of the middle font is ?

One of your mods is modifying the default game damage font to the one in the screen shot you posted. I'm not sure which mod you have that is altering it (ClearFont maybe?), so I can't say what font it is for sure.
