Quse UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.3d
by: Qupe [More]

Quse Stream

This UI is meant to be as minimal, low memory and CPU usage as possible while maintaining a full compliment of features.
Supports all resolutions, aspect ratios and almost all languages/client localizations.

Having some knowledge of .lua - or the willingness to mess around with it - is recommended, most addons are configured in .lua.

sFilter is back!
I have included it with some basic spells for some classes but is mostly barebone.
Please open the SETTINGS.LUA file to add your own spells, all classes have template locations that fit the UI.
HOW TO:
* See Change Log for a full list of changes (please read it!) *
Fresh installations are always recommended!

Installation is a breeze; no WTF folders to rename, no hoops to jump through, no bears to wrastle.

- Back-up your Interface and Fonts folder (if you have a Fonts folder. If you don't have one, don't worry).
- Copy the contents of the QuseUI zip file into your World of Warcraft folder and launch your game client.
- Ensure out of date addons are enabled.
- Once in game, type "/install" and accept.
- Bananas!

Features
*Low memory and CPU *
*Easy Installation*
*Complete "out-of-the-box" support for all classes/specs*
*Healer and DPS raid frame layouts*
(see screenshots)

Raid Frame Indicators

*Note*
Earth Shield, PoM, and Lifebloom
indicators change color based on stack count.

FOR FONT REPLACEMENT:
Font = Pixel Font, 8pt
Font2 = Tooltip Font
FCT = Floating Combat Text

To replace fonts in-game:
- Place your desired font into the "Interface\addons\sharedmedia\fonts" folder and rename to the font you'd like to change.

To replace fonts that appear on the loading screen, chat window, etc...
- Copy your desired font into the "Fonts" folder in your Warcraft folder and rename to the appropriate names present in that folder (skurri, ARIALN__, etc...)

FOR BOSS MOD STYLING:
- Download the file located HERE
Follow the instructions on the download page.

Recommended:
- oUF_MovableFrames, by Haste. If lua editing isn't for you and default frame locations aren't your cup of tea, oUF_MovableFrames will allow you to drag and drop locations.
- Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt
Vital if you'd like to keep the sleek square outline look for non-skinned icons. Not included in this download due to its size; some people may or may not care to include it.

TO DO:

- Set up sFilter for new abilities and adjust location (currently not included in package).
- Finish adjusting raid indicator texts and boss debuffs.
------------

Special thanks go out to Haleth, Monolit, hankthetank, Nin, MichaelSpain, P3lim, Zork and anyone else who's assisted me along the way to accomplishing my ideas - some pretty key elements of this interface are a direct result of their help and work.

NOTE: MOST CLASSES ARE MISSING THEIR SPELLS, LOOK AT THE LUA

- rBuffFrameStyler replaced by nBuffs (last buff change I swear!).
- Stuf settings now apply for those who choose to use those frames instead (expanded the amount of buffs/debuffs shown on Stuf by default).
-- If you choose to use Stuf and do not use 1680x1050 resolution you'll have to adjust placements manually. I'd also suggest disabling nBuffs if you use Stuf.

01/15 - Release.3
- Grid2 should be fixxxxxxxxxxxedddddd!

- Added oUF_Boring_totembar and oUF_SpellRange.
- NibEclipse removed, oUF_NIN covers this.
- NibRunes removed, replaced with a modified guRunes - looks REALLY slick, fantastic run animation!
- TipTac replaced with FreebTip
- Cascade should now parent to the minimap (if it doesn't try removing the SavedVariables for this AddOn).
Added m_Buffs to cover player buffs/debuffs (I'd still like to have debuffs shown over player frame, but having parenting issues).
- Entire UI moved inward by 4 pixels.
- Shapeshift bar moved above player frame.
- TinyDPS border fixed, now 1px.

01/09 -Release.1

1. Grid2, when i installed it grid was at the QuseUI profile, but grid was like normal, so i changed the profile to default and it worked, but sometimes it resets to quseUi profile

2. Is it possible to change so i can see my targets buffs?

3. And a friend of mine would like to know if he can change the Unitframes so he can see a 3D pic, of his character.

____________________

Sorry for bad english and thanks for a great looking UI
Thanks, btw!

1. Trying to think of why the Grid2 issues would happen. If you updated Grid2 on your own the profile won't load properly, I had to edit some code to make it possible. If you didn't upgrade Grid2, I'm not sure why this is happening. I just did a clean install with the installer data that's the most recent download on all of my characters and Grid2 was in the right spot/profile/proper look on all of them.

2. Target buffs/debuffs are going to be limited, only some will be shown unless you add them yourself. It's a bit of a pain but I like Nin's unitframes far too much to ever get rid of them.

There are two ways you can fix this:
- add the buffs/debuffs to the list yourself (open "auras.lua" in the oUF_Nin folder). You will not see everything unless you add everything, and even then, you can't see more than a set number of buffs/debuffs.
- Download Stuf and use this, you can configure the number of buffs/debuffs in the addon yourself. I include a layout in the installer, so all you have to do is download the addon and install it.

3. I don't believe there is a portrait configured for oUF_Nin, so I don't think so. Your friend can grab Stuf and use the installer layout then enable a portrait and put it where he wants though. Sorry =/

Hope this helps, still baffled about the Grid2 layout though!

Only way I caught it was that when I use DBM, I make the bars as small as they can go and hide the icons. When I did that, it showed that they were in the normal positions when you download the add on, but not if the UI has a certain coding to it.

EDIT : I dislike Xed with a burning passion, but I don't want to get rid of it because it hides the errors. c-c Do you know of add ons that function the same way?

oh my lawdy. you updated! and it looks aaaaamazing I still can't deal with the oUF frames only having 3 auras showing and can't get sFilger or whatever Filger, to work again!

I am kind of in love with the cast bar in the stuf version, and then when I do swap to the oUF version that cast bar just doesn't feel right! hehe

must try this new version!

There are plenty that do the same thing, pError is the best for specifying certain errors you wish to hide, cError if you want to see nothing.

I know what you mean, but the oUF version sincerely and completely becomes a part of you. Obviously, it fits much better if the layout is where Nin intended it to be (ie - player frame in the center, castbar below). I tried to get a good looking layout with the frames in the center (sort of how my old layout was) but just couldn't deal with a player frame not the same width as my hotbars - or a player frames the same size as my hotbars.

You'll have to open the core.lua file in ouf_NiN and anything that's set to 8 pixels needs to be whatever size you want (best bet is to find the word "font" and just go through it).

The remaining time on buffs/debuffs is omnicc, /omnicc and change the font/font size.

m_actionbars>cfg.lua, look for the right/leftbars and change:
Code:
--[[hide bar:]] false,
to
Code:
--[[hide bar:]] true,
As a general protip, if you've changed a lua option, make a backup of the file so when you do a complete update you can just copy/paste your file or edit your changes back in.

Thank you. (= I change my UIs a lot, and I always come back to this one. It's clean, and easy to navigate through. ^.^
