Crystal UI (Aion: Tower of Eternity)

This UI is of course inspired by a very cool game called Aion: The tower of Eternity! I loved the interface that they used in the game. Everytime i watch videos of the game I think to my self man that would work so well in world of wacraft. So thats what brings me here today with this UI. This is my Ode to Aion.

Supported resolutions: 1440x900 Widescreen.

Installation:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Step one: Rename your WTF and Interface folders to WTFold and Interfaceold
Step two: Unzip the Crystal UI to either your desktop(or where ever you want to unzip the files)
Step three: Put the interface folder, WTF folder and Font folder in your world of warcraft directory (should be C:/Programs/Worldofwarcraft)
Step Four: inside the WTF folder you will see an account folder. Enter that folder and inside there you will see a folder that says ACCOUNT NAME. Rename this folder to your log in/account name. Make sure you put your account name in all caps!
Step five: Inside the ACCOUNT NAME folder you will see a server name folder. Rename this folder with your servers name.
Step six: Inside the Server Name folder there is a Character Name folder. Rename this folder with the character you wish to use this ui with.
Step seven: Log in.

When logging in for the first time: Type

/reflux switch Crystal UI

you must include the caps! very important!

Addons included:

See picture labeled addons ----->>>>

Action bars - /macaroon menu
Art - type /kgpanels config
tooltips - type /tip
unit frames - type /stuf
casting bars - type /quartz
scrolling text - type /msbt
bags - click on the green bag icon on the bags
minimap - type /chinchilla for further options. Disable the GUI so you can right click on the minimap for tracking. or enable the tracking button and delete neftracking.
experience bar - right click on it
buffs - enter interface options and choose Aura frames

If you have any questions regarding any of the above addons feel free to ask. I'll do the best I can to answer your questions. For the most part you shouldn't have to do anything upon loading the UI.

Credit: A big thanks to all the authors that made this UI possible. Your dedicated support to these addons is greatly appreciated by the UI community. And i for one love having things to fiddle with. Thanks again!

Please report any errors or issues as soon as you get them so i can correct them. Currently with the changes to 3D images I cannot use them for party, target, target of target etc because it keeps showing a full body picture. It works fine for player so i kept that 3d

9/7/08 - Fixed debuff issue. They now show properly. Also fixed Ghost/dead text on player and target unit frames. Strata on left art frame was lowered so it would not cut through the bag art.

9/7/08- Added 2 more buttons and edited the pet bar art so it would be more functional. KNOWN ISSUE <> You get an lua error when clicking on the pet portrait to retrieve pet details. It does still work. Ill be checking to find out how to fix that.

Using a balance druid one of the talents is when you hit the solar eclipse your moonfire morphs into a sunfire spell, using this ui when it morphs to sunfire it wont let you use that spell, it says its not learned.. I have tryed 2 other ui's and it works fine. Do you know of a fix for this or reason it wont allow that spell to work?

Keelamor A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 1 File comments: 11 Uploads: 0	Because of the location of the pally aura bar and the inability of relocating it to a more visible location, I found an addon that works great with the crystal ui, just dload Holytrinity and the pally aura prob iis solved.. Hope that helps. P.S Loria thnx for the 1920x1080 file works awsome for me even after patch

Well the art pack disables itself after it runs one time. All that does is add the textures to kgpanels in a quick simple motion. Then the texture pack just chills in your addons folder. You have to keep it there because it houses the textures that are in the ui.

Only changes I made to the compilation was removed Macaroon (too difficult to configure for a druid) for Bartender. Disabled MSBT (don't like useless text while tanking). Also added my necessary Addons for tanking (Omen/DBM). All which I don't believe would effect the health bars of the Stuf addon.

Also I have a question about the interface in a raid. I was in a PvP BG for awhile and noticed an odd setup for Raid Frames. Is this the Blizzard Raid frames or there a way to customize it? Also would it be better to just use Grid for raids anyways?

Another issue I noticed but never bothered with it but it is alittle misleading, when I go into an Instanced the clock on the map changes its time usually back one hour. Anyway to make it not do that?

P.S. Great compilation, best UI I've had since I've been on WoW despite a few mods I've never seen/heard of it still works great just a few issues mentioned above.

Not a clue as to why that would happen with the status bars. I haven't had that happen to me yet (i use this ui my self). the only way you can adjust that is to go into /stuf and click on the bars and resize them. Or re install the interface from scratch. I dont see why removing those addons would have any effect on the unit frames. I didn't include a raid frame addon because with so many people using this interface i felt it best if everyone just choose the addon of their liking. Same reason i didnt include dps or threat meters or cool down monitors or boss mods.

As for the clock i have the server time box checked because my server time matches my time. and i liked the way it made the clock text look. You can change this by typing /sldt then clicking on the clock. Uncheck the Server time box and you should be good to go.

i am sorry I don't have a better solution to the unit frames. I wish i knew what could be causing it.

Edit - you know I just thought about something. When i logged in after the patch i had to go and recheck the ui scale button because my interface was out of wack. For some reason they reset the ui scale this patch so you have to go recheck that box.

also, in the interface the equipment manager option is gone as is the show item ilvl as well. Where did they go in the interface options in game?

The item level is gone because tiptac doesnt show it. There may be an option to show it in /tip but i haven't messed with that much because i dont really need to see item level on everything. (personal preference) As for the equipment manager i had my disabled but you can enable that in the blizzard options menu.

There is a way to show the pally aura bar. Type /stuf and go to the player frame then scroll down and it should be in the options on the left somewhere. Make sure you uncheck the disabled box and then you can move it and size it anyway you like.

This interface was just updated on the 13th. Working fine as of today even after the patch. Please make sure you are following installation instructions correctly.
