ArkInventory (AI or ARKINV) is an inventory mod that was based off EngInventory when the BtS 2.0.0 patch came out and I needed a working replacement.

AI's display windows are built from "virtual bars", you assign categories to bars so that items in that category are displayed on the specific bars you want. There is no limit to the number of bars you can have inside a window but obviously you only have so much screen real estate before it becomes "too many".

AI uses several methods to assign a default category to an item such as what professions you have, tooltip scanning, basic type/subtype and PeriodicTable. You then assign those categories to a virtual bar.


You can also over-ride the default category by creating a rule that matches either a single or multiple items.


Overview:

* unlimited number of bars (there are practical limits though before your screen becomes full)
* assign items to a category of your choice (overrides the default assignment)
* assign categories to the bar of your choice
* configurable bars per row
* configurable width
* display bank, bag, keyrings for current and alts across all realms
* separate keybindings for bag, keyring and bank viewing


Key Bindings:

Press ESCAPE to bring up the blizzard menu
click on Key Bindings
scroll down to ArkInventory
bind the keys you want to use

  • fixed - https://github.com/arkayenro/arkinventory/issues/1871 - updated object code to handle any new INVTYPE values better

known issues
  • some default frames (vendor/merchant at minimum) that would normally open via the PlayerInteractionFrameManager no longer open if you are in combat, you just get an addon error. there is currently no workaround.
  • (dragonflight) reagentbank slots are no longer readable unless the bank is open
  • recipes on vendors are showing item counts for the items they create, not the recipe
  • Enum.ItemConsumableSubclass is missing the Flask entry and everything after has moved down a value which screws up the category names (have hardcoded a workaround for the moment)
  • items with an active cooldown dont allow comparison tooltips to generate
  • cooldowns no longer start automatically. you can close/open the bag to get them to show (if you enable that option). all of the cooldown events ACTIONBAR_UPDATE_COOLDOWN, BAG_UPDATE_COOLDOWN, PET_BAR_UPDATE_COOLDOWN, SPELL_UPDATE_COOLDOWN, appear to trigger off other players as well, but do not provide any indication whether the event was triggered by you or them, so cooldowns will trigger window refreshes fairly constantly when you are around large numbers of players. even limiting it to one update per second generated too much lag, especially in massive groups.
  • chat link for a battlepet in the guild bank will not send
  • the first time you click on a hyperlink in chat it wont show the item counts

to do
  • double check all categories show/hide for the right clients
  • confirm things havent broken in classic, wrath, or shadowlands
  • restack disable - maybe change this to require a modifier key instead of a straight disable? might be easier to shift/alt/ctrl click on it than turning it on/off and its not like youll accidentally do it (which is why the disable was added)
  • backpack tokens to scroll when max width reached on second line
  • extend the categoryset actions to individual items for additional granular control.
  • add action; move (bank to bag, bag to bank, bag to vault, vault to bag)
  • add actions to items
  • allow multiple actions on a category / item

Hello I've been using Arkinventory almost since it's conception and it's been the only thing I can use since then.
For the first time I had to write in here.
First of all I'd like back the ability to move arkinventory not only from the Header bar but from any blank point in it, like it always used to work.
and secondly is there a way to copy the bag behavior to bank instead of using the bag behavior at bank frame ?

Hi there, for some reason the most recent update causes odd behavior, normally the buttons resize themselves to fit into my chosen size for the ark inventory box, but now there is a scroll bar on the side and I have to scroll down to see the rest of my bars I have setup, did an option change that I missed between this update and last? Figure its probably something simple like that :P

Any help is greatly appreciated, and keep up the awesome work, best bag mod out there by far!

Yea I am having the crashing issue as well using 32bit client? 64 seems to work fine. I too use ElvUi and if you enable all addons except Elvui game does not crash. So it is something to do with ElvUi and Ark not playing well together.

Yeah, I put it to 64 and everything works! However for those people who still can not play a 64 would be a nice thing to be able to find the bug and fix everything because addons are two really beautiful / useful!

BUG???!?!???!?!?

Hello guys! I noticed a contrast between ARKINVENTORY and ELVUI! The moment you log in, finished loading the bar, it automatically exits the game! I did various tests, removing, adding, activating and deactivating ARK and ELVUI! HE LP ME!

you can either assign the empty reagent bank slots to a bar, then hide that bar
or
you can just show one empty slot ( config > settings > bank > items > empty > first )
or
you can lower the scale of the bank window down a bit

I noticed that with Arkinventory enabled, the new Toy Box doesn't seem to load. It only shows the first and last page.

open the bank, open the bag changer, right click on the reagent tab bag, under cleanup select deposit (or if you only want to do it manually click on the deposit option higher up)

Reagent Bank tab

Any way to program it so it can automagically put reagents in there? I have to disable the addon so I can use the button blizz provides to do this. Thanks so much for keeping this addon going! Blizzard may have added more functionality, but it can't even begin to compare to what we get with your addon.

yes but wowinterface has never made addon beta management easy which is why i never upload betas here.

ie the WoD beta version of my mod will not work on the live servers at all so i need to make sure people cannot just easily download it without noticing that its a beta version.

theres a WoD beta uploaded on the other site whos name i wont mention but should be obvious.

if there is a way to safely upload beta versions to here then let me know as im happy to do that.
