Sewell UI v5 Sunn Art Pack

Version: v5
by: Sewell [More]

I am the author of the now defunct Sewell UI - after a long sabbaticle from the game, I found myself drawn back to it. Sewell is now a retired mote farmer, but I have been decking out Chamoise and leveling a Disc Priest, Cardinale on Undermine.

During my (long) break from the game, I played a lot of other games - one of which was Heroes of Newerth. I really loved the way that they put that together and decided that it would translate well to WoW. What you see is basically a conglomerate of existing HoN features, fan site kit and my own custom photoshopping in an interface that I really enjoy.

Probably the first thing you will notice is a lack of a huge matrix of buttons. For the doubters, bear with me. I tried to drill down on each of my characters, how many buttons do I frequently use. Why do I have a crafting button visible at all times when I may craft once every 3 days? Why are there healing buttons here when I use clique/grid? Then I classified what I needed to track and how.

I put my big ticket CDs on the 4 prominent middle spaces, basic offensive, heavy-use goes left of center, panic and other essentials went right of center, and then I created 6 additional buttons for mount, potion spillover buttons. I do have a mouse-over only button bar that I can put quest or macro deals on the far right as well. But If I use it a couple times in the course of a week, I don't want to see it all the time.

Hope you enjoy - later.
Sewell

I'm going to assume they no longer play wow because I've never been able to get this to work. I'm cleaning up my addons of irrelevant addons that no longer work or I no longer need.

...so lost

I can't honestly figure out how to set this up, and it seems to me it is purely just art work for Sunnart, which sadly doesn't explain the rest of your set up you have, the programs you use for buttons, cast bars etc. So as much as I would love to try the beautiful simplicity of your UI I'm completely at a loss on where to begin. I tried with just getting the art part to work, but even that lost me. Sadly, I'm just not very savvy on coding heh. Hopefully you can help, or maybe set up more of a complete interface pack for what you have set up for this. Thanks in advance for any reply you may give.

I also have run into some trouble with this pack.

I have been using the console version of sunnart for about a year now and I cannot get this one to load up for some reason. I even tried dropping it into another art pack and nothing.

SA is working fine. But when I click on themes it only has the default themes that came with SA listed.

And when you type in /sa in-game does nothing happen? I would concentrate on getting Sunn Viewport Art working by itself and being able to enter the config window for that addon as mine is completely contingent on it functioning properly.

Sorry I can't be more help, but Sunn Viewport Art has to be working for my addon to work. Good luck.

Make sure that both Sunn Viewport Art and Sewell UI v5 are listed in your addons at the login screen. If not, they are not copied correctly to the interface/addons dir.

Let me know - good luck.

**EDIT** Actually got it sized the way i want to.
Rockin - glad you got it figured out. The panel should work with all resolutions.
