oUF Led2

Version: 0.33
by: Ocu [More]

This is created on 1920*1080 with an UIScale of 0.711, other reso / uiscales might look weird.
Protip: If it looks weird, try entering
/script SetCVar("uiScale", 768/string.match(({GetScreenResolutions()})[GetCurrentResolution()], "%d+x(%d+)"))
into your chat. This will change your uiScale to the "correct" for your resolution. Do notice that this may distort the rest of your ui though.
Units Supported
Player
Target - TargetTarget
Focus - FocusTarget
Pet
Party - Raid
Arena 1-5 - Arenatarget 1-5
Bossframes

Plugins Supported
oUF_Debuffhighlight
oUF_ReadyCheck
oUF_Trinkets
oUF_Experience
oUF_Reputation
Credits
Layout Base: ALZA
Raid base: Neav
Idea: Led ++

Notes
You might need to tinker around with the offset settings on the backdrops to make it look perfect.
If you're not comfortable with doing that, this layout is probably not for you.

The layout includes a top / bottom bar / backdrop. This can be disabled through two simple booleans in settings.lua.

Please ask for permission if you want to include this layout in your compilation. I dont bite.. Hard..

0.32 -> 0.33

Pitch black raidframes when units in range? No thank you.

0.31 -> 0.32

Accidentally uploaded the wrong archive.

0.21 -> 0.22

Fixed some font paths.

0.2 -> 0.21

Fresh and clean, although the layout and placement of the frames is very... odd. The large gaps break the flow somewhat, too.

Nice work Ocu. I see you got the buff/debuff borders good now.

Lovely work! If I didn't use a modified ouf_nin I would get this one.

I like how everything looks. Great job!

However I'm trying to figure out why my framerate dropped to 3-10fps at 10-man VoA but climbed to 40-50fps as soon as I left the raid. Strange thing too, when the raid first formed, there was gibberish on top of the unitframes but this got fixed when we zoned-out/in.

EDIT: Just did two random heroics ... worked flawlessly!

Every time I see this kind of setup I download it, install it but I just remove it 10 minutes later. Yes, they look sharp, "minimalistic", etc but would you actually raid with these (without messing with lua yourself) when they don't even display a target's power values, or health percentage, target's or self combat status, cast time and so on?

Design without usability in mind is wrong, don't give me "they're for personal use and needs" excuse. Sorry I seem to be having something against you, there are a lot of people doing similar things out there, just couldn't take one more disappointment.

@oopsminded.
Well, then it's probably not for you.
I am gonna give you this though: They are for personal use and needs. It's not an excuse, it's a fact.

I do raid with these. No modifications;
Power values on target; well, do i really need them? I cant think of a situation where i do, so please enlighten me.
Health percentage; Well, deadly boss mods give me that info for the bosses i need to know ( in my honest opinion. )

Target and self combat status?; This is what cracks me up the most, since you're using the whole raid scenario.
If you cant understand when you / your target is in combat without an indicator on the unitframes all the time, then i feel sorry for you.

Cast time is not something i need either, it's easy enough to see the cast, and have a graphical display on progression of the cast. This is easier to read on the fly than 0.5/1.75 sec anyway.

Bottom line is, i did design this with usability in mind. Heck if it doesnt fit for you, then too bad. There are plenty of unitframes out there that can suit you in some way. You dont even have to use the 15 seconds it takes to download the layouts that dont have your needs.

Sorry if i come across as harsh.

Also, spelling; Non native english-speaker ( hooray norway ) and writing this in a hurry.

@everyone else.

Thanks for the kind words.

Power values on targets are needed in pretty much any pvp scenario. In PVE content, just as recent as Lady Deathwhisper and Saurfang.

There are a lot of classes with execute abilities that can't rely on DBM, DXE or other boss mods that might display boss percentage.

As much as the combat status indicator (or lack of) might crack you up, I'm willing to bet a lot that the vast majority of people find it necessary.

Heh, your turn to crack me up when you're telling me you're guessing cast speed and cast/remaining time by looking at the bar.

Crack me up wasnt really the expression i was going for. Anyway;

Cast speed and cast-remaining in my eyes are easier to derive from a bar, thats why they call it a cast-bar isnt it.
I'm sure some will find it better to look at text rather than a graphical representation of the cast though that's not the situation for me.

I dont pvp too much, and Deathwhisper / Saurfang's mana supplies are shown with dbm's bosshealth frame. Thus i dont have the need to have it shown at the unitframe. This is my personal taste though. Some people might find it lacking, but i'm sure they wouldnt use this layout anyway.

The percentage thing for abilities is not something i need to rely on, atleast not as a paladin (20% hammer) i get a notice when it's usable. There's mods relying this information pretty darn good.

Again, i cant see a scenario where one would need a combat status indicator, so i'd love to hear where the area of use is.

Not trying to start a flame war, just speaking my mind and i love others opinions.

Solid stuff man!

One small thing i noticed on the screenies with my ninja eye!

focus/focustarget name should be 1 pixel'ish up so it looks like the text on target frame. :P

You are adressing an wrong font path in the raid.lua at line 7:

local font = "Fonts\\font.ttf"

i assume it has to be

font = "Interface\\AddOns\\oUF_Led2\\media\\font.ttf"

I'm guessing Ocu's full UI has font.ttf in the Fonts folder too

EDIT: this would definitely explain the errors that I've been getting since the first version. I have now copied font.ttf to the Fonts folder too just to be safe. Thanks for finding this, light007.
