TwitterRealID (TRID)

TwitterRealID (TRID) automatically broadcasts your in-game events to your friends over battle.net. It can also broadcast to guild members if the user wishes.

Events that TRID will report (depending on your settings):
* Raid bosses defeated
* Current instance bosses defeated
* Achievements earned
* Epic (>ilvl 359) and legendary loot won
* Battlegrounds entered
* Battlegrounds won
* World zone movement
* Raids entered
* Heroic instances entered

To customize TRID reporting, type "/trid ui" (without the quotation marks) or navigate to the UI by hitting escape > interface > AddOns tab > TRID.

TRID 3.0 introduces a message log which can be accessed by typing "/trid log" once you have started sending messages using the addon. This update also allows greater flexibility between guild reporting vs. Battle.net reporting. An auto grats feature was also added.

*Auto grats feature now will automatically respond between 5 and 9 seconds later rather than a constant 5 second delay.

*TRID should now report heroic and raid boss kills for MoP content.

Or even just a global enable/disable per character. I want people to know what my main did. I don't especially want them to know I've gotten to level 20 on an unknown character on an odd server somewhere. I find myself disabling TRID and then forgetting to turn it on when I get back to my main. Perhaps an option to clear my Real ID msg on connection? That would ROCK! Great work, and your code's a nice reference for a lot of information. Clean and easy to read.

When you say static text, do you mean an option to enter text that will not get overridden by the addon messages?

I mean for the auto gratz.

But when I started thinking about answering this, I realized that what I meant was complex enough to be an addon of its own.

However, I do appreciate the simple version here, because it mollifies people who whine at me for not noticing their achievements, simply because I've not got the Guild chat window up, or I'm not even at the computer, or I'm busy actually trying to not die.

So, I revise that comment. It's perfect.

The changes include a UI with check boxes (already functional on my internal builds). This will allow users greater customization on which features the addon will report. I suspect the changes will be ready sometime in the next 10 days. Stay tuned for TRID 2.0.

I wanted people to be able to show their friends what they were doing as they played but sending updates to your friends isn't something you spend a lot of time doing in WoW. This addon simply streamlines the process.
