Advanced Trade Skill Window  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.8.0
by: Slarti [More]

ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, including enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

ATSW explicitly supports ArmorCraft, LS3D craft info and Fizzwidgets ReagentCost. Other addons that change the original tradeskill window will probably not work with ATSW.

v0.8.0:
- changed: ATSW updated for patch 4.0

Doesn't crash here

Works fine for me here. Sounds like it might be conflicting with other mods you have, or you have a corrupt cache, or something. Prolly a wise idea to throw away your cache, and the saved variables for ATSW so that it will rebuild it's recipe lists. That's just a guess.

Tabs?

Is there a way to integrate the TradeTabs addon? I really like this addon, but I also really enjoy the TradeTabs as well.

I cleared out the WTF folder and cache folder and it seems to be working ok now.

Is there an Ace add-on that does something similar?

Possible fix for Crash when used

Hi,

I was also experiencing ATSW crashing when used. I looked at the code and commented out all lines with
Code:
:SetScale(0.001)
in them.

It now works for me

I hope this helps other users

Edit: 2.2.3 on the PTR has a fix for this on Macs, testing it now

Edit2: 5/10/07 Tested on PTR, patch 2.2.3 will fix this issue for Mac users

It's kind of obvious:
It's an infinite loop :<
When you pick up the "large prismatic -> small prismatic" recipe, you now have both small -> large and large -> small.
ATSW tries to determine how many times you can, with your materials, enchant a given recipe.
Obviously, with at least 1 large shard you can forever turn it into 3 small ones and back into a large one. :|
Needs a workaround for this case.

Friggin ingenious.. Now that that has been determined, why don't you ALL go look at the incgamers site and see that the original author has updated the mod there to 0.6.8!

While that may be the case, if you download the supposed "0.6.8" from the incgamers website and the zip has 068 in its name (AdvancedTradeSkillWindow068-1191173377) .. the files inside are dated no later then 27/5/07 0.6.6 and the toc reads

## Interface: 20100
## Title: AdvancedTradeSkillWindow
## Notes: An improved window for your tradeskills (v0.6.6)

incgamers is the new ui.worldofwar.net and it was last updated there 9-30-07, however I believe it is still the same build as this one and was just a reupload from the comments I've read.

I recently hit the Grand Master Enchanting Trainer in Honor Hold, and aftergrabbing the two added recipes for Void Crystal-> Small Prismatic Shard and Large Prismatic Shard -> Small Prismatic Shard, ATSW is extremely slow for enchanting and often only shows one orange skill. I've re-downloaded the addon as well as deleted the ATSW saved variables and neither did the trick.

Help!
