DiabolicUI (Goldpaw's Diablo UI)  Updated less than 3 days ago!

Version: 1.3.87-Release
by: Cogwerkz [More]

This is a full UI in a single addon, which mimics Diablo 3 both in visual styles and functionality.

I've seen many Diablo UIs for World of Warcraft over the year, and though they all looked fairly good on screenshots and were highly praised by the community, I always felt like they overcomplicated things. I wanted to create something simpler, something without the need for huge options menus and "customization". Something that works as intended right out of the box.

This UI features mostly custom artwork by yours truly, and some artwork based on my own modified screenshots from Diablo III. It's written from scratch, has no dependencies, needs no configuration or setup, and is made to function as-is straight out of the box. It's a project in constant development, and it will be updated several times a week, if not daily. If something isn't there yet, it's either coming soon, or easily provided by another addon.

There will from time to time be a few weeks between updates. This does not mean I have abandoned the project, it simply means I'm busy working on paid design projects. A man's gotta eat!

DiabolicUI is released under the fairly open and mellow MIT license, which in layman's terms more or less translates to "do what you like, just bring a copy of my license along with it". So I don't mind people using my work, I just want it to be fairly clear to the end user what parts indeed are my work, and not have that omitted or hidden in some obscure text file somewhere.

Recommended addons with DiabolicUI

The following addons will either enhance the functionality of DiabolicUI, or help style other addons to match the look and feel of it.

  • AdvancedInterfaceOptions - Adds back missing Blizzard options to the interface menu.
  • MBB (Minimap Button Bag) - Gives access to minimap addon icons.
  • Bagnon - All-in-one bag and bank addon.
  • Bagnon Facade - Adds Masque support to Bagnon.
  • Bagnon ItemLevel - Adds item levels to gear and relics in Bagnon.
  • Masque - Provides a skinning engine for buttons.
  • Masque: Goldpaw - Button skin pack that can be configured to match DiabolicUI.
  • Engraved - Adds combo points, holy power, soul shards etc.
  • MythicPlusTimer - Adds mythic+ timer and affix information.
    * [Kaliel's Tracker](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/kaliels-tracker) - _Old style manual tracker where you can choose what to track and show, if you dislike the clean, built-in automatic system in DiabolicUI._

Report bugs, suggest features, development progress

Bug reports and feature suggestions are all done through GitHub's Issue tracker linked below. If you're looking for the current development status of the current or next version of the UI, you can check that out at DiabolicUI's GitHub project pages. Please don't post bug reports in the forums or in PMs, as they will be ignored.

There are thousands of users, but most are content to simply download and use the interface without further ado. If you wish to get more involved though, have some questions you can't find answers to anywhere else or simply just wish to stop by and say hello, we have both a discord server and a facebook page.

Buy me a beer

Making stuff like this takes a lot of time and effort, as this user interface as well as my other addons and interfaces are all one-man projects. I do it because I love doing it, because I believe it makes the game better and more enjoyable. But still, a lot of hours is put into it.

It is in no way required, since my addons always has been and always will be free and fully available to everybody without restrictions. But if you truly wish to support my hard work, a donation goes a long way! Because nothing is quite as motivating as beer money!

Regards
Lars "Goldpaw" Norberg

Cast on downpress is a Blizzard setting which used to be available through the interface options, but in Legion was removed. You can change this setting manually with the below scripts, or with the addon AdvancedInterfaceOptions lined below:

Cast on key release:
/run SetCVar("ActionButtonUseKeyDown", 0); ReloadUI()

Cast on key down:
/run SetCVar("ActionButtonUseKeyDown", 1); ReloadUI()

AdvancedInterfaceOptions addon:

resize the main bar

hi, i love your ui as a long-time diablo player,
however, i use a big screen too and the main bar (the one with my hp and mana, buttons etc) is too small.
Any way to resize ui or just that panel please? it's very little on my monitor.

thank you in advance for the awesome work

Really Nice Mod!

This is indeed the best Diablo UI for WoW that I have seen - kudos to the attention to detail you put in to this.

I have some questions and some feedback.

How do I access my Calendar to check raid lockouts, etc?
Is there a way to show target debuffs/buffs on the main Target bar?

Do you see yourself ever allowing an options menu? Like others, I find some of the items are too small, especially since I play on a 21:9 ultra wide running 3440x1440 resolution. I would love to be able to scale up the self/target buff/debuffs

Do you ever plan to add raid/party frames? would be so awesome to see raid/party cards like you made for pets - would blow the mind!

Specfically, I'd love to know how to scale/change size of any of the below:

Chat Font (I literally can't read it)
Buffs/Debuff Auras above the action bars
Nameplate fonts

Finally, I would love to change the health color to be red.

Any help on where these settings via UI or LUA files, and I can hack my way to victory in the lua files.
The chat font size can be changed the way it's changed in any UI; by right-clicking the chat tab header, and changing it from there. The size of the chat font is a blizzard setting, and not handled by the UI!

How I made them? I wrote the code to show a bar instead of a number. Simple as that!

And there are no addons listed because there are no addons included. This entire UI is a single custom made addon. It's only listed under "Suites" because that seemed to be the best place to put an UI here, since that's where everybody looks for UIs to begin with!

Not currently, though combat is sort of'ish indicated by the numbers above the health/power orbs being constantly visible.

I want to implement some better indication of the various player states though.

I'm afraid that when it comes to vanilla compatibility, cost is not the issue. It would require a full rewrite, not to mention I would have to dig through a LOT of old addons to learn the blizzard interface system back then. Plus a lot of things I do now weren't really possible prior to WotLK, and directly impossible before TBC, meaning it would be a lot of blood, sweat and tears for an inferior UI version for an outdated and buggy game client.

From time to time Blizzard upgrade their interface API in a way that's backwards incompatible. And all my addons were written after some major changes they implemented with WotLK. Because prior to that working with addons was about as fun as drinking broken glass. Which naturally isn't something I plan on doing anything soon!

Sorry!

PvP score

I also noticed while I was in WSG earlier that there was no score frame for the Battleground to show flag caps. Unsure if it is in all BGs, but I would assume so.
