rBottomBarStyler  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 60000.01
by: zork [More]

Intro

This is rBBS an art framework. It provides basic functionality that can be used by rBBS layout styles to display art, models and orbs on screen. The addon does nothing on it's own. You need rBBS-layouts and probably an actionbar mod to make it work properly. This mod just displays art.
Install
Download rBBS and any rBBS-layout you like. Put both into your AddOns folder and start the game afterwards. Make sure you have any kind of actionbar mod installed that hides the default Blizzard actionbar!
Layouts
Default layouts are provided. They must be downloaded spereratly, like oUF layouts. rBBS is just a framework that needs layouts to display data.

Current available layouts:
Roth UI (Roth UI look alike)
OrbsOnly (Example for player, pet and target orbs)
OrbsOnly2 (player and target orbs only)
Diablo1 (Diablo 1 flavoured layout)
Diablo2 (Diablo 2 flavoured layout)
Diablo3 (Diablo 3 flavoured layout)
Diablo3Adjusted (Diablo 3 flavoured layout, but with WoW 12 button system)
Diablo3NoOrbs (Diablo 3 flavoured layout, but wihtout orbs and the bar texture matches WoW 12 button system)
Aion (Aion flavoured layout)
Backdrop (Example layout showing how to do backdrops)

Ingame menu
Use the rBBS menu gem or the /rbbs slash command to open the menu. You can do the following things ingame: lock, unlock, show, hide, resize, scale, move, reset.

Dragframe
Version 1.03 introduced a new API function, the dragframe. If you want to make use of it create it first in your layout and have other frames parent it. (See example layouts). If you move/scale/resize the dragframe all hooked frames will follow.

Fluid animations
The new rBBS supports the fluid animation system of Roth UI 4.009+. You can choose between, no animation, no animation+classcolored, or choose one of the 23 preset animations.
How to create a layout?
Try editing one of the example layouts first to get a feeling for the files. The example layouts use a config.lua and a style.lua. The config.lua has all the config data for the frames you want to spawn in the style function. Most of the config data is optional. But some has to be set. The config does nothing by itself. The style.lua uses the API functions to spawn frames of different types using the config data. In some cases you want hook the frame to the dragframe. The dragframe can be passed as the third element and is optional.
API
The following API spawn function are currently specified. Each API function can handle a buch of config parameters. Set the config parameters in the config of your style and call the spawn function with the specifc config entry. Check layout examples for more.

I was wondering if it was possible to get a small update (or instructions on how to manually) add a color for the mana orb to represent focus. I have a hunter and he doesn't quite feel right with a blue orb for his focus :P

Can I put in the living orb the color of the Druids?.
Can I edit the file manually and put core.lua RBG colors druid?:

local player_class_color = RAID_CLASS_COLORS[select(2, UnitClass("player"))]

local orbtab = {
[0] = {r = player_class_color.r*0.8, g = player_class_color.g*0.8, b = player_class_color.b*0.8, scale = 0.9, z = -12, x = -0.5, y = -0.8, anim = "SPELLS\WhiteRadiationFog.m2"}, -- class color

I'm a paladin, and I want that to when i use the comand "/ rbbs sethealthorb 0 " this be a color of the Druids... Not paladins.

Hello, great add-on, i just have one problem, is there any way to increase the update rate of the orbs? While it's fine when I play my warlock or my warrior, playing my hunter effectively isn't possible when the focus bar only updates every 2 seconds. I tried to modify the code myself, without success, and now i'm relying on other add-ons as a replacement for the power bar.
Sorry if this has already been asked and answered.

It would be cool if you had a style where you had only the sides (with the globes) without the middle bar, and a setting how far apart the orbs are.

That way we could set this up on default UI instead of the gryphons.

Better yet it would be best if you had a setting/profile that hides those gryphons and replaces them with D3 orbs.

I just can't believe how awesome this is. I originally came to world of warcraft 6 years ago because I love Diablo 2 so much. I have been looking for something like this forever. I tried this addon a while back but it just wasn't customizable enough but things have changed. A recent video sparked my interest in this addon again and I am very very happy to see it developed the way it has. I didn't want to fiddle too much with the whole package so I chose the "orbs only" version and it is exactly what I wanted. The orbs are beautiful not only aesthetically but functionally it makes it very easy to understand how much health/mana/rage/focus ect you have. This really makes me feel like I'm playing Diablo 2 again.

I use Dominos action bars and with the new slash commands it was very easy to set the scale to 1.3 which made the bars fit perfectly with the orb interface. It's just gorgeous. Here is a screenshot and my appreciation to the developer. I will make a video soon if I can.

Re: Bugged Orbs (Roth Art)

You may have installed oUF_Diablo and rBottomBarStyler. Only use one of those addons. Check your addon folder.

Exclamation Bugged Orbs (Roth Art)

If I use the roth art, I have four orbs.

The 2 correct art orbs in front and the 2 wrong orbs in the background of the 2 correct orbs, but a bit more in the middle.

Thus sucks and makes the UI look bad.

Please fix it

Deathwarlord.

Check the archive. Afaik version 012 was the last 3.3.x compatible version.
