nanoTalk

Version: 3.3.5-1.6.3
by: Torhal [More]

nanoTalk tracks people who send you messages and optionally informs them when you are in a conversation.

Features

  • Two configurable timeframes - one for message Tracking and one for Recent messages.
  • Messages received within the Recent timeframe are considered an active conversation.
  • Optional chat notification: When enabled, any messages from another person while you have Recent messages will inform that person that you are in a conversation and may not reply quickly.
  • Optional AFK notification: Tells people who send you a message how long you've been AFK.
  • LibDataBroker display: Shows numbers for Tracking and Recent messages. The LDB tooltip shows the names of people who have sent you a message and the length of time since they did so.
You will need an LDB-based display for this addon to work.

You haven't specified the library locations properly in the TOC. Extracted properly from the ZIP, log on and:

Interface\AddOns\nanoTalk\nanoTalk.lua:52: Cannot find a library instance of "tekKonfig-AboutPanel".
[C]: ?
[C]: in function `error'
Interface\AddOns\!tekErr\LibStub.lua:23: in function `LibStub'
Interface\AddOns\nanoTalk\nanoTalk.lua:52: in function <Interface\AddOns\nanoTalk\nanoTalk.lua:47>
(tail call): ?

The
LibStub.lua
CallbackHandler-1.0.lua
LibDataBroker-1.1.lua
tekKonfigAboutPanel.lua

lines in the TOC should actually be:
Lib\LibStub.lua
Lib\CallbackHandler-1.0.lua
Lib\LibDataBroker-1.1.lua
Lib\tekKonfigAboutPanel.lua

Yah, I noticed that when I was making some changes for the new version. I hadn't noticed before because I'm running everything disembedded. D'oh! I'm shooting for the new release sometime tonight. Thanks!

Not sure if this is intended functionality, but when someone whispers me they get put onto the "in conversation" list, but after the first whisper their timers just keep going until it reaches 30 minutes, even when they just whisper me.
Seems a bit odd, so thought I'd post here. Using Fortress on 3.0.2

Strange...open the config panel and see what your tracking number is set to.

I'm still getting the same error with the latest version, and there's nothing in the config menu.

I will delete the saved variables tho, and can post a screen shot if needed.

	["TrackTime"] = 1800,
	["NotifyAFK"] = true,
	["ChatNotify"] = true,
	["TrackNum"] = 10,

Ok: Does the config panel still show as being empty? What line number is the error on? (May have changed from previous version)

Yeah there's nothing in the config menu besides the about details and as for the error message, im pretty sure its the same as the last one.

Code:
[2008/10/24 12:49:11-9032-x57]: nanotalk-v3.0.2-1.4.2\nanoTalk.lua:176: attempt to compare nil with number

You don't see something like this?

Code:
Conversation Timer: 2m
Tracking Timer: 30m
People to Track: 10
The line that's giving you an error is trying to compare the number of people in the tracking list against "People to Track", is why I asked about your config panel...
