nUI: Integration Carbonite (continued)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.0.1
by: Carz [More]

You do need nUI core or nUI+ for this to work

make sure you have the up to date Carbonite addon also
All credit goes to xtrapwr

This adds a Carbonite Infopanel to the nUI system. It will toggle the Carbonite mini map on and off, allowing you to keep Carbonite snuggly in the lower right. However at this time the add on CANNOT move or resize the Carbonite window. You will have to do this manually, however you only need to do this once.

Also, as switching the Info Panel status does toggle display of Carbonite, please consult the steps for initial setup.

1) Download and unzip the nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite(continued).zip

2) Move nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite into your Interface/Addons folder

3) open WoW, and toggle the InfoPanel until Carbonite is visible.

4) open the Carbonite minimap (it will likely have closed itself) and shrink the size by clicking the lower right corner of the mini map and dragging up.

5) move the now small mini map into the empty Info Panel pane

6) align the upper left corner of the Carbonite mini map to the upper left corner of the empty Info Panel pane

7) re-size the Carbonite mini map to fill the rest of the Info Panel Pane

8) Congratulations, you now have Carbonite nice and neat in nUI!

Unfortunately I can only manipulate Carbonite using the publically accessable slash commands, so there is no automated way to resize and move the map into the Infopane space. If this changes, I will update this Integration

KNOWN ISSUES

If you use the Carbonite world map and pull it up when the Carbonite Info Panel is NOT visible, this can de-sync the Info Panel if the map shrinks instead of closes after use, and you will get a Carbonite window overlapping whatever Info Panel was present. Fix this by manually closing the Carbonite mini map.

thanks in advance
Ok try this and Frist delete the infopanle and follow these steps

When to DL nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite (continued) it should save to were ever you save it

inside
Code:
nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite (continued).zip
there should be a
Code:
nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite (continued) (unzip)
open that file and there should be a
Code:
nUI_InfoPanel_Carbonite
move that file into
Code:
C:\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns
and all should be good also there nothing you have to do with any of the .lua at all. you dont put this into
Code:
\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\nUI\Plugins
there no need too

Also if you read the main page it says you have to change the size like how you would if you just DL Carbonite by it self. Also it not a bug it just the way carbonite was made so there no need to post on there forum. If this did help plz tell me.

Yeah I double checked everything and made sure I had the correct folder in the addons. I gave up last night and when I opened wow this morning it magically appeared so either I was blind as hell last night or it worked by me disabling a addon i didnt need. thanks for the quick reply.

I have the small size carbonite map in the nUI Info Panel in the lower right but when I hit M it simply vanishes and does not show up in full view. See images below.

http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/9255/aftermu.jpg

This issue has persisted through a complete deletion of the Interface and WTF folders and a completely new install of all addons. I've also gone into Carbonite and used all of the options in the Reset menu to no avail. I simply cannot view the large scale Carbonite map when I hit M. All that happens is the small map vanishes.

I play WoW with it in maximized windowed mode as I have two monitors. At some point yesterday I was watching a had the full size map open and I think I accidentially grabbed it instead of another window I had open on top of wow and moved it off the edge of my WoW window.

Well M is the main key.

You are correct sir. I did not realized that in key bindings there are multiple map setting under Carbonite. Some how my key binding was switched to "None or Normal Map" instead of "None or Max Map". No idea how it happend but I now swap betwwen the normal and max map on a M keystroke. Thanks all.

My Issue:

When I press "M" it brings the Carbonite map out of the Infopanel into full map mode, as expected. But when I press "M" again, it minimizes the Carb map back into whatever Infopanel I have displayed, and overlaps it. I then have to cycle my Infomaps to get it re-attached to its own Infopanel.

This looks to be by design of Carbonite, because without nUI, its behaviour is to maximize and minimize using the "M" button, but when the Infopanel is installed, it detaches its Infopanel anchor to maximize, then when its minimized, it won't re-attach its Infopanel anchor unless the Carbonite Infopanel is the currently displayed Infopanel.

If anyone wants to reproduce this, install nUI+, Carbonite, Carbonite Infopanel and anchor the Carbon map to the Infopanel. Then switch the Infopanel to the Combat Chat Infopanel, press "M" to maximize Carbonite map, then press "M" again to minimize it.

You will find that Carbonite minimizes to its last position and size, but overlaps the Combat Chat Infopanel. You will have to cycle to the Carbonite Infopanel in order to get the map to re-attach its anchor to its Infopanel, then it will no longer overlap any other Infopanels that you display, until you press the "M" button again and it detaches from the frame.

If there is a setting in Carbonite to prevent this, please let me know, because I am sure that its an issue for everyone using nUI and Carbonite Infopanel, but I can't find any references to this issue using Search on the nUI forums.

Sorry, overlooked that note at the bottom. That info helps, because now I know to look in Carbonite for how to disable that feature.

Update

V2.0.04 4:55pm
(C) nUI_INFOMODE_CARBON = 10 to nUI_INFOMODE_CARBON = 35

All this update dose it change the number in lua to 35 due to to many plug ins with the number 10. You don't have to but if you wish to go ahead.

when you DL there you got the bahbah.zip when you open it there another folder with the same name. Open that folder, there other folder thats the one you put in the addons folder. Ya i know why so much that because there other info panel that deals with carb, but it breaks nUI.
