About Outfitter

Outfitter is an equipment management addon which gives you fast access to multiple outfits to optimize your abilities in PvE and PvP, automated equip and unequip for convenience doing a variety of activities, or to enhance role-playing.

Outfitter includes an icon bar for fast access to your outfits, a minimap menu for fast compact access, support for LibDataBroker, scripting with a library of pre-made scripts for most common tasks, outfits optimized for a particular stat, item comparisons across outfits, quick access to items via the character sheet, and more.

Is "Disable Automatic Changes" checked in either the minimap menu or the Outfitter settings tab?

I left Riding, as is, and when I mount up it does not equip the riding crop as it should. It just leaves on whatever I have equipped.

There is no such checkbox in Outfitter. Only things in the "Settings" option are:

"Don't Equip in BGs"
"Don't Equip in Dungeons"
"Don't equip while PvP Flagged."
"Unequip when beginning a Spellcast"
"Leave equipped while falling."

Those are the only ones available for Riding script.

I don't see that option in the Minimap menu either.

In the main UI it isn't under Riding outfit settings, it's one of the three tabs at the bottom of the window (About, Options, and Outfitter) and should be the first checkbox when you switch to the Options tab. In the minimap menu it's the second option, right after Open Outfitter.

So, I'm always getting new better gear for one of the 3 roles I fill, and Outfitter helps me retain my sanity in trying to know what gear is in use, what can be sold, etc. There is a druid talent called Nurturing Instinct that increases my bonus healing by 50% (or 100%, rank 2) of my agility. I'm wondering if you can modify the algorithm that optimizes for Healing to include bonuses from agility if you've got that talent. Thanks!

Make sure you're holding the shift key down before you press the left button to drag. Older versions would allow you to press shift after the button, but that caused it to require you to hold the shift key down the whole time you were dragging. Now you have to have the shift key down before you click, but you don't have to hold it down the entire time you drag.

Select each of your outfits one at a time in the main Outfitter UI and look for the outfit with a '?' in an item slot (selecting the outfit with the missing item should also give you the error message). Sounds like it's likely an item in your riding outfit that's missing.

For the time being I went back to 4.2.1 and everything was working great.
Saw your post and reinstalled 4.2.2 and the error was gone before I even did anything so I guess it was a bad install.

Re: Fishing Macro

You could do something like this

/outfitter [nomod] wear Fishing
/cast [nomod,equipped:fishing poles] Fishing
/use [mod:alt] Sharpened Fish Hook
/use [mod:alt]16
/outfitter [mod:shift] unwear Fishing

Without any modifiers down the first click will equip your outfit. After the first click it will cast each time. Holding down alt will put your lure on. Holding down shift will unequip the outfit.

If you use the keyboard to cast with (as I do), the mod:shift part won't work because the default WoW bindings have the shift-number keys mapped to changing your cast bars. If you unmap them or use the mouse it'll work fine.

I do use the keyboard to cast (shift-f) as you said but I dropped the macro in the same tool bar slot that I had Fishing on and it works fine. I use Bartender so I guess that is why it works. The only changes I made to it were as you can see below: #showtooltip [mod:alt] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor; Fishing /outfitter [nomod] wear Fishing /cast [nomod,equipped:fishing poles] Fishing /use [mod:alt] Aquadynamic Fish Attractor /use [mod:alt]16 /outfitter [mod:shift] unwear Fishing Just the show tool tip and the lure type. I like the tool tip cause when I press alt I can see right on my tool bar how many lures I have left. I will be passing this macro around to all my friends and family that use Outfitter. After I wrote that for you I started using it myself and like it too -- before I was using a hotkey to equip/unequip the outfit, but it's really nice to just have it on the same button as my casting. Combined with the "Enable auto-loot" option in the fishing outfit it makes fishing about as easy as it can get
