EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features.
It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings.
EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor.
After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/sharedmedia

hmm...

difference between old and new...

old one simply worked straight out of the box... the recoded one is well....

sry to say... far inferior if you ask me.. I have to set it up first, and then micro manage what it should and shouldn't show....

old one simply worked from install... no setup required

I might have done something wrong.... but since I haven't tinkered with it and just grabbing it and stuffin it in my addons folder... I'm going back to the old

I'm allmost sure that there is something going wrong in that case since in case you don't change any settings the recode should behave (almost) like the old version. Move it to the intended spot, hide the anchor and done...

Another way of positioning the bars?

Hi!

Never mind, I found out how to fix it.

Thanks for a great addon.

I am struggling with moving my BUFF & TRACKING anchor when it's in the middle of the screen. It's just kinda stuck there. I can move TENCH and DEBUFF but when I "Reset Position" on them, they get stuck in the middle as well.

I just downloaded patch 2.3 and am getting the following errors:

--------------------------------------------------
Error: attempt to call a nil value
Count: Infinite
--------------------------------------------------
Error: attempt to index global 'MiniMapTrackingFrame' (a nil value)
AddOn: ElkBuffBars
File: ElkBuffBars.lua
Line: 450
Count: 2
--------------------------------------------------
Error: attempt to call method 'SetTrackingSpell' (a nil value)
File: Interface\AddOns\ElkBuffBars\EBB_Bar.lua
Line: 74
Count: 1

The buffs are not showing the time left; instead they appear as % signs.

The current version on WoWAce as linked in the text should be working although it was coded a month or so ago on PTR. Haven't been able to code/test lately but hopefully this weekend I'l be able to verify that it really works so there should be a new release on wowi/curse then.

In a previous version I got, the timers was set so that when timer goes below 30 seconds it starts to flash, blinking. However in this version I am unable to do this. Have I missed something?

EDIT: Just wanted to say, you're doing a great job. I really love this addon, thanks for all the work you put down in it.

I was wondering... why does the buffbar remove the tracking icon at the minimap and have it in the buff list??

I've searched everywhere for it... all I can manage is to hide it on the buffbar... but that doesn't solve my problem regarding wanting the icon to be back at my minimap

this is only a problem with the newest version (using wau) but reversing to 1.3 my tracking icon is there.. but 1.3 can't show the timers on the buffs/debuffs you have

so as much as I'd like to use the newest one I'll remain on 1.3 in order to actually have the icon displayed at the minimap

How do you get the anchor to pop back up after you've hid it, and how do you change the scale of the bars?

ah, nm didn't see the Alt+Left click

It's in the options... when I implemented hiding of the minimap icon I added an option to disable that behaviour.

without tracking included in the filter (shouldn't show tracking in the list, and hence.. on minimap)

http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/5015/config1xu6.jpg

with the tracking in the filter (showing tracking in the list and hence not being meant to have on the minimap)

http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/1886/config2zn9.jpg

reverting to 1.3

http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/6826/revertny3.jpg

exactly what am I doing wrong with the new version since I can't get it to display on my minimap??

Can we get this fixed? My Buffbars don't refresh immediately, making it very difficult to use. I've had to go back to the old version that shows %m instead of the time.
