I have written a new action bar addon, called Dominos, and am no longer supporting this one. Please feel free to try it out, along with Trinity Bars, and Bartender 3

Bongos is an action bar replacement designed to be both low memory, and easy to setup. It is not as feature rich as other bar mods, but should include the features most commonly used.

Bongos2: The core addon.
Bongos2 ActionBar: Breaks up the main action bar into movable parts
Bongos2 Stats: A display for latency, framerate, and memory usage
Bongos2 RollBar: Makes the frame for rolling on items movable
Bongos2 CastBar: A movable casting bar, with the ability to show cast time
Bongos2 XP: A movable experience bar
Bongos2 MapBar: A movable mapbar
Bongos2 Options: A dynamically loaded options menu for Bongos

Features

Every Bongos bar can be moved, hidden, and have its scale and opacity altered
Sticky bars - Each bar can be anchored to any other bar
120 action buttons, which can be setup in any number of bars
Both macro and key binding text on action buttons can be hidden
Customizable stance transitions for each bar

General Settings

To bring up the options menu: type /bongos menu
To unlock bars: uncheck the lock bars option in the main options menu
To hide or show a bar: unlock bars, then middle click or shift right click it
To move a bar: unlock bars, and then click and drag it with the left mouse button
To bring up a bar's configuration menu, right click it

Key Bindings

Bindings for the Bongos action bar should only be done via the bindings menu in Bongos
To bind keys, open the main options panel, and select the bindings option. Hover over a button, then press a key to bind it to that button

Action Bar Settings

Accessing general action bar options: open up the main options window (/bongos menu) and select the action bars panel
Adjusting the layout of a given bar: unlock bars and right click the bar you want to adjust to bring up its configuration menu
Moving buttons: Hold down the key for moving buttons (shift by default), and drag a button. Alternatively, unlock button positions by shift right clicking the mini map button, or unchecking the option in the main options menu
Making a bar bigger: You can increase the maximum size of a given bar by reducing the number of action bars. To do so, adjust the action bars slider on the action bar panel of the main options menu. This option will reset the settings of your action bars

Stances and Paging

Stances and paging are configured via a bar's right click menu. With bars unlocked, right click the bar you want to change,

Slash Commands

All commands start with either /bongos, /bob, or /bgs
<barList> can have a possible value of an actionbar number, menu, bags, pet. class, or all
You can also specify a group or range of bars, the command /bo scale 1-3 class 1.2 will scale action bars 1 2 3, and the class bar to 120% of their normal size.
/bongos - Shows the options menu, if present
/bongos lock - Toggles locking bars positions
/bongos show <barList> - Shows <barList>
/bongos hide <barList> - Hides <barList>
/bongos toggle <barList> - Toggles <barList>
/bongos scale <barList> <scale> - Sets the scale of <barList> to <scale>
/bongos setalpha <barList> <opacity> - Sets the opacity of <barList> to <opacity>
/bongos set <profile> - Sets the current character to use <profile>
/bongos copy <profile> - Copies all settings from <profile>
/bongos delete <profile> - Deletes <profile>
/bongos reset - Loads default settings
/bongos version - Displays what version of bongos you're running
/keybound - Toggles keybinding mode

I just downloaded your newest update 12/7/06 version and got a problem.
I'm trying to get my action bars to page, by hitting "Shift+2 will go to action bar 2, Shift+3 will go to action bar 3 and so on.

Weird. Make sure you have paging enabled on the bar.

When i get on my paladin, nothing. EXACT same bindings and all and the bars just will not page. I have all correct bindings. I have tried this on 2 different computers and same deal. When I attack from stealth, all of the empty button slots show up and when I go out of combat they dissappear. When I attack normally (not from stealth) the issue doesn't occur. Also - when I simply stealth or unstealth - the issue doesn't occur. So - it doesn't appear to be tied to combat or stealth on their own, but rather it's tied to leaving stealth and entering into combat simultaneously. I'm using the current version you have here as of 3AM EST today. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is THE button/action bar mod IMO and I can't see myself playing WoW without it! Thanks for a great mod!

Keto A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 0 File comments: 1 Uploads: 0	Stance-switched bars not working A problem I've seen documented elsewhere, but you seem to pay the most attention here, Tuller, so I'm going to repeat it. When playing a druid, the paging of bars when changing form/stance, works absolutely as it should. Bear stance switches to the assigned bar correctly, cat stance likewise, and so on. The problem is, when the bar pages, the key binding continues working on the orginal bar and not the bar that has replaced it. Just to make it clearer, I have bar 1's Action Button 2 assigned to the number 2 on the keyboard. In caster form, without paging, pressing 2 casts Healing Touch like it should. If I switch to cat form, and bar 1 is replaced (paged) with bar 7, pressing 2 should cast Prowl, but instead it is still trying to cast Healing Touch. I haven't heard about any rogues having the same problem, so hopefully it's a simple fix.

For example: /cast [Button:2] Renew; Flash Heal This should do renew if the button is right clicked and do a FH if left clicked. It doesn't register the right click though, but instead just functions like it was left clicked. The macro functions correctly if used through Blizz default UI. Other Button:<x> options supported are nicely presented in Neuro's post: 1 or LeftButton 2 or RightButton 3 or MiddleButton 4 or Button4 5 or Button5 Are these going to be supported in this fine addon?

I can swap to another character, and load that profile. If I log to another character. There is NO profile saved. I have to log back into a char with the settings I want, save profile, log back to character I want to set, and load profile. Thanks for getting this sweet mod up to speed for 2.0. Id of felt very empty without it. __________________ Putting the laughter back into Slaughter!!!!

lulubell A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 0 File comments: 1 Uploads: 0	Thanks for this addon :P .. great piece of work, nearly flawless but 1 little problem im having A problem i didnt see posted when looking through that i had was when i cast a spell the icon in the hotbar does not show any sign of being on Cooldown, this makes playing my mage very hard as when im spamming spells i dont know whats on CD and what isnt for example when i cast frost nova which is a 25 second cooldown, the button in my hot bar does not change appearance so it would seem like i can cast it again ... there is no little grey countdown thing anymore ... thankyou

I'm having this same problem with all of my toons. I use OmniCC so it's not a disaster as I can see the cooldown in seconds on the button, but it does suck for quick cooldown abilities, or things like potions etc. The cooldown graphic was showing correctly on the last version of Bongos (6.12.05, I believe).

Thanks for your great work! I am very pleased that I can still use all your mods in 2.0, as I have grown very attached to them all

My main character developed this problem. I use marsbars for it's shifty key fuctionality and Bongos for my actionbars. At first this worked great, and when I hit the shifty kay, Bongos would shift over to the desired bar. After a little while it stopped working for my main character. Oddly enough, it still works for my alts on that PC and on my wife's PC.

I've been playing with all sorts of things with the two mods trying to get them to play together again, since I wasn't sure where the problem was. However, poking around in MarsBar's code at work today I discovered it just calls a macro

/changeactionbar [actionbar:1] 2; [actionbar:2] 3; [actionbar:3] 4; [actionbar:4] 5; [actionbar:5] 6; [actionbar:6] 1

when you press it down, and the reverse when you release it. My only thought is if this other fellow was experiencing similar troubles (Blizzard code unable to change Bogos bars), perhaps there is a way for the paging feature to get turned off, even though the checkbox is down. Parhaps, because you replace the blizzard actionbars, the information about what page they are on is not available where the functions are expecting it. I'll be doing more testing this weekend, but it's hard to clean everything out and start fresh when you have all your bars lined up just like you like em.

PPS - I am ALMOST 100% sure I triple checked that paging was turned on for my bars, but I WILL be certain to do that, as well as uncheck and recheck paging.

Still got the same problem, can't page to different bars on my main character, but I have no problems at all on alts. Also i tested it on a completely different computer and same deal. I have a similar problem with EquippedMacroIcon addon...

I think it has to do with Blizzard's new security:

"Programatic modification of macros, key bindings, and the action bar page only allowed outside of combat. Action buttons and targeting frames are now "protected". Protected frames cannot be programmatically moved, shown or hidden, or have their attributes (unit, action, etc) changed during combat."

So if they cannot be changed during combat, then they will "stick", even though the addon is trying to change them :-(

It was all good, I set it up the way I wanted and off I went, saved my settings and made a profile and all. The porblem arose when I upgraded to a new version and then all of a sudden upon loading WoW up I was stuck staring at the default setup. Is there a bug as to why it doesn't save profiles and settings between versions or is this intended and if so is there a way I can backup my settings before upgrading?
