Tomine UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.4
by: Tomine [More]

Tomine UI | Version 1.4
-----------------------
1920x1080 Widescreen

  • Please back up your Interface, Fonts and WTF folders. Once done, delete them from your WoW folder.
  • Download and unzip Tomine UI to your Desktop, then copy and paste Interface, Fonts and WTF folders into your WoW directory.
  • Take a look at your new WTF folder- rename the account name to your account name, the server name to your server's, and the character name to your character's.
  • Log into World of Warcraft and double-check your Add-Ons tab at the character screen. Make sure they are all enabled - this means you should check "Load Out-of-Date Add-ons".
  • Log into your character. Type /Reflux switch Tomine - this is case sensitive! Your interface should now look like Tomine UI.

Version 1.4 Updates:
  • Replaced ButtonFacade with Masque.

Known Issues:
  • Minimap: You will have to move the minimap manually. Type /mm lock to unlock the Minimap and drag it to the designated area, or wherever you'd like.
  • Cast Bars: This profile does not load with Reflux. Type /acb and click on the "Profiles" button, then Load "Tomine".

Special thanks to all of the AddOn authors - their work has allowed the creation of specially and individually made UI compilations for all:
Thank You
.

I had no idea that Focus was not updated in the compilation... thank you for bringing this up. This UI is due for a bit of an update, so I will go ahead and zip it up for an update today.

Here is a quick screenshot I just took to show you where the Focus is:

As for DoT/HoT Timers, I made one with Satrina Buff Frames that tracks my DoTs/HoTs as icons. I do use ForteExorcist in the compilation for its CooldownTimer (which I love... Spell icons pop right on my toon's head as their cooldowns come up!), but I prefer the icon look over the "bar" timers that FX provides. You can see the placement of this frame in Screenshot 3, on the main page, as it displays my Druid's HoTs.

If you go into SBF options, you will see a frame called "DoT Timer". In here, you can see that I provided filters for the DoTs I cast, specifically Vampiric Touch, Devouring Plague and SW: Pain. All other Buffs/Debuffs that I like to track are done with PowerAuras, which I did not include in the compilation whatsoever because of the added bulk and personal settings.

As for the chatbox, I wanted it to be as simple as possible. I like to make the artwork the focus of the UI, and to keep everything else minimal. But, that, too, is personal preference. You can make the background of chat darker by right-clicking the chat tabs and changing the opacity level of the background.

As for Recount, I did away with it and replaced it with TinyDPS because of Recount's memory usage. If you are curious as to how I made the title-bar/backgrounds disappear, I changed the opacity in their respective options. You know, just fiddling around with addons.

I am, but it starts scrambling things together like the un-UIScaler version. What I did was use it without UI scale and manually move things into place. Definitely not perfect and the Unit Frame/Minimap texts are still a bit tinier than I can see without looking real close, but it's working The tooltip is on top of Grid, though.

Something I was wondering is what your intentions were for Focus target. Was disabled before I messed with anything and seems to be unfinished. Do you use another method of keeping track of Focus targets?

All that aside, the UI looks great and it has completely reinvigorated my interest in WoW. A clean yet stylized UI is exactly what I needed. Amazing job. Only 2 things I wish I had:

1) A way to keep track of buff timers and stacks (like Fingers of Frost), maybe using FortExorcist, without detracting from your UI's synergy.

2) A chatbox with a darker (but still transparent) background and your art around it to give a bit more style and a bit less minimalism.

All of that is just personal taste though.

Edit: Also, how did you get your Recount to display that way? Or is it a different addon?

Oh dear. I haven't had the chance to play with UIScaler yet, but one thing I would try is playing with the in-game UI scale... Are you able to raise it?

For the quest objectives I'm using questguru, its pretty easy to config and change fonts and such, I dont know about the memory usage though..a lot of quest watchers have higher memory usage :/

Thanks for this UI. Great job, Tomine!
You just opened up a whole new door for me: I am definitely going to check this out and see if I can't fix up layouts for other resolutions this way. It seems quicker!

I have to do something with the Objectives: I have been shopping around for a light-weight alternative. I have already replaced some heavy addons with lighter ones and will include them in the update.

Esca: What a good idea. I will probably make a video to show it in action before people think about using it.

Like the look of this UI, makes me think twice about how I have mine at the moment
Any chance you'd be able to get a video up of this to show off all the elements in action?

I am guessing you do not use 1920x1080 resolution. All lower resolutions cause the interface to be larger in size, due to magnifying. Resizing them will do the trick until I can make the UI compatible for other resolutions... I have been working with a friend who beta-tested this for me on a smaller res and the units are GINORMOUS!

EDIT: Actually, now that I re-read your comment I think you were just addressing the Party frames. I made them relative to the Player/Target frame because I find myself needing them to be as big. Small party frames make me sad: I tend to not pay attention to them!

I am humbled, Fef. :3 Thank you. And yes, this UI did take a while to get up. I know I have seen you comment over at WoW UI Gallery, Ool. >_< My apologies!
