PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.

  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

As far as I'm aware that information isn't made available to the user interface, so it's not possible to display it, unfortunately. The game doesn't know until you actually try to cast the spell whether or not the target is out of line of sight.

Is it possible to implement an indicator for when a target is not in Line of Sight? Especially in PVP scenarios (i.e. Alterac Valley's towers), I waste precious seconds trying to heal someone only to get the' Target not in line of sight' error. Like, maybe if the target is in range, but not in LOS, a red box could be bordered around the frame. I think that would be a cool improvement to an amazing add-on. Thanks for considering.

one thing ive noticed is the mana bar tends to be pretty slow at updating.not like a slight 1-2 sec delay but just that it isnt updating properly, often it shows the healer is at full mana but they are actually oom. i dont have a bug log for it as no error occurs, it just seems to not be accurate.

If you're still trying to figure this out,

Open \WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables\PerfectRaid.lua

Look for the ["profileKeys"] = { line near the top. Find your old character name and realm within that section, and rename it to match your current name and realm. If it already exists, then delete the second line where it occurs.

Look a few lines down for one that reads ["profiles"] = {, then locate the block of text for your old profile and again rename the single line at the beginning to match your current name and realm. If a section already exists for your current character, you'll need to delete the entire second block.

Save and close the file. Hopefully that is easy enough to follow, can't give exact line numbers due to how the file is structured.

Hi, I recently completed a character transfer, and I noticed my perfect raid settings were reset. Is there a file hidden somewhere where I can drag over that includes all my old settings. This was mostly lots of customized buffs.

Hi,

It looks like the WoW API for UnitBuff & UnitDebuff have changed by "dropped second parameter (nameSubtext). Also, no longer supports querying by spell name." (as per https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17618154511)

As a temporary fix I got the addon working by editing the following lines in ..\Interface\AddOns\PerfectRaid\PerfectRaid_Buffs.lua:

Change line 187

from
Code:
local name,rank,texture,count,dispelType,duration,expires,caster,stealable = UnitBuff(unit, i)
to
Code:
local name,texture,count,dispelType,duration,expires,caster,stealable = UnitBuff(unit, i)


Do the same for line 203:

.. to account for the change in the API.


Didn't test it throughly but seems to work so far.

After updating, I continuously get this LUA error

Lua Code:

upon 1st loading the update for 8.01-- the addon's default frame config appears w/basic trackable buffs (rejuv etc in my case as a resto-druid) and then after adding a buff/spell to track, all stop showing.(the auras to right of players health frame) Have show only my buffs selected as normal. Adding spells/buffs in config seems fine, they just no longer show on frames when cast. Tried re-logging & reloading UI a few times, but not helping.

Just updating as requested /hug

That was quicker than expected, thankfully I had time before my flight. There may be other errors lingering, but it's been updated and loads properly (and even shows the frame). I'll let you all report back if there's something not working correct.
