Shockolate Information Page - With Updates for Future Versions

Multiple rings can be created via the Shockolate FuBar or MiniMap icon Menus. Each ring consists of a large button with a left and right click function and 8 smaller buttons with one function. Any spell, any rank, can be used for any of the buttons.
- Hold down Shift while dragging to use the specific Rank of spell dragged.
- When dragging to the Main button, hold down Ctrl to set the spell as Right Click. Do not use Ctrl for the spell to be set as Left Click (primary).
- Hold down Shift while attempting to drag spells away. Not holding Shift will do nothing, as the buttons will be locked.

Multiple set-ups can be created as well, one for each class you use by default.

Please note that the old UI is no longer available. Everything is set up via drag-and-drop or the Menu.

If you find any problems, please submit them via the Bug Reports link or a comment for the mod. I will look into fixing them as soon as I am able. Everything seems to be in working order though.

Please note that you may need to reset your Shockolate settings the first time you use v0.06000.

  • If you hide a Ring then click Show, it shows ALL buttons, not just those that were visible originally (hidden smaller buttons reappear). -- Fixed.

Ahh, good question. In the Shockolate.XML file, you should find two occurrences of this line:

<OnEnter>GameTooltip:SetOwner(this,"ANCHOR_BOTTOMLEFT"); Shockolate.TotemTooltip(this:GetID());</OnEnter>
Try removing this part:
Code:
GameTooltip:SetOwner(this,"ANCHOR_BOTTOMLEFT");
I believe that should put it at your default tooltip location.

Tooltips

Is there a way too hide the tooltip or reposition it? My normal tooltip is way over on the side where I like it but with this addon the tooltip is attached too my mouse pointer or the button I am pointing at not really sure but I hate it. Anyway too change that?

Minimap Icon Dissapeared

Hey Elayneff,
I just downloaded your awesome addon, but I accidently hitted the enable addon and now can't put the minimap icon back.
Are there any /commands to fix this?

Where do I find the fubar shockolate addon? I've searched by the phrase you list on the description of this addon on both this site and on curse but couldn't find it on either.

Also I get no icon on the minimap (surrounding it like I have a few others up there for skillet etc , but none for shockolate).

I'd really like to use this, it looks like it will really jazz up and better organize my buttons.

Please help, thank you,

Not currently, but I'll put it on my to-do list. It might take a little while to get taken care of (working on a few other mods for WotLK, school, etc.)

But I will definitely take it into consideration.

is it also posslible to change the Skin of Shockolate? Cause the Borders dont really fit into my UI

I've identified and corrected the problem with the icon changing to the totem.

Sorry for the minor inconvenience, I'll have it uploaded soon.

And, if you can get back to me, Rangelost, on the problems you encountered, I'll see if I can include them in another update.

I'm still not noticing a problem with the buttons coming back. Are you still experiencing this with the latest version?

Also, are you using the different options for Opacity (In Combat) vs (Out of Combat) ? I'm not using either at the moment, so I wanted to check and see if this might play a part.

Looks like the icon changes to Strength of Earth ... but the spells don't actually seem to change. (And, upon reloading, the icon does reset itself... interesting.)

Also, you must be holding down the Ctrl button as you release the mouse button while dragging for it to replace the right click function.

You do not have to hold Ctrl when pulling the spell from the spell book, as long as you hold it when releasing the spell to the ring. (Seems to work fine for me, but let me know if there's a significant problem still....)


I'll look into fixing the icon thing, as it's certainly an annoying issue. Thank you for the report.

Cant Change right click

I cant change the right click for the main buttons it just stays earth totem.
and when i make a new ring the main button on the other ones change to earth totem.

Updated Ace Libraries

I've updated the Ace Libraries for Shockolate. Hopefully it will eliminate some of the problems. I loaded it as the only mod running and it didn't appear to have any issues.

(No other changes at this time, but I'm hoping this will eliminate the errors on loading, menu problems, and minimap icon positioning. Please let me know!)

I'll take a look into those issues over the next couple days.

Still trying to figure out how I want to add in Cooldowns.... But it is on my To Do list....

(And, being able to dim an option such as an Aura or Aspect would probably be a good idea.... I'll look into something.)

Only the main button. It looks like the main icon of all the rings change back to the default one ( Spell_Nature_EarthBindTotem ) everytime a ring is created.

It's very hard to explain, but it seems that when I delete a ring, another ring tries and take its place and when I create a new ring, it takes the settings of the old deleted ring until I put my cursor or the concerned option.

Also, I tried using a ring for my Aspects and the buttons' icon don't change so it's hard to figure what aspect I'm using without looking in my buffs list ( Yeah, it's that hard ). It doesn't work for my traps either because the cooldown is not shown so it makes it useless.

Anyway, the idea is great and the AddOn is quite useful. The only thing I was not able to find is how to lock the circles in place, but if you're gonna do it, I'll probably just wait for the next release. (¯w¯)/
