oUF Lyn  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2.4f
by: eiszeit [More]

Note: I, Obble, am now maintaining this and lyns other addons after he quit. I am currently rewriting oUF_Lyn for 3.1

This is another layout for oUF.

Works with the current version of oUF (as of 17.10.2008).

Note: colors working again, thanks to zork/rothar.

If you want to modify the layout, do it yourself. I will not give any help. I give only support if the original layout have errors or anything.

It has following frames:
- Player
- Target
- Target of Target
- Pet
- Focus
- Party
- Raid

You can hide party in raid by going into your Interface option and activate the option "Hide Party Interface in Raid".

It supports following oUF Plugins and Libs:
- oUF_DebuffHighlight
- oUF_PowerSpark
- oUF_BarFader
- oUF_Banzai <- should work. normally a layout DOES NOT need to edit anything for support, so.

If you find any bugs or so... please let me know (screenshot + error message or something)

hi lyn, i was wondering if there was a way to enable party's target frames. ideally i would copy the layout of the party frames and just copy that into a party's target, and move the offset so that it's next to the party frames. health and maybe mana is all i need to see on the party targets. i saw that in your preview of lynui 7 ( http://deponie.org/ui/097.jpg ) you had party target frames, but this was using pitbull.

i never used party target frames. in that screenshot, this are mt and mt targets.

and dunno how you can enable it, you may have to look in other ouf layouts how they do it and copy paste it.

When talking about that, MTs, their targets and party targets are the only ones I am missing in your perfect oUF layout. Therefore, I was planning to add it to you layout and eventually offer that to you to implement that.

However, before I start to dig in the code, I would like to ask whether you do or dont have the MTs already done for your oUF. I have tested that for Lyn 7.0 UI and MTs are not present (as far as I know). For a dps class, MT targets are absolutely essential while raiding...

I use oRA2 for MT targets... and no, there are currently no MT frames cause oUF doesn't support some afaik.

I was afraid you were going to say that :-( It is a pretty shame spoiling such a lovely design work with ugly MTs of oRA2 imo. I did it the same way on our last raid - it is working, but ... you know :-)

I will have to check with Haste about incorporating MTs into oUF then I guess :-(

Range check

I love the layout but as a healer I miss the range check on the raid frames.

Is there anyway to implement that?

go into oUF_Lyn/layout.lua
search for
Code:
self.Range = false
and set it to true

Layout compatibility with clique

Hello, I've tried your layout recently and found that It wasn't fully compatible with clique... (I was unable to found the player/target/pet/targetoftarget frames in the Clique's frame list)
The solution is to give a name to all those frames in your code:
Code:
oUF:SetActiveStyle("Lyn")

local player = oUF:Spawn("player", "oUF_Player")
player:SetPoint("CENTER", -335, -106) -- player frame

local target = oUF:Spawn("target", "oUF_Target")
target:SetPoint("CENTER", 335, -106) -- target frame

local pet = oUF:Spawn("pet", "oUF_Pet")
pet:SetPoint("BOTTOMLEFT", player, 0, -30) -- pet Frame, somewhere below player

local tot = oUF:Spawn("targettarget", "oUF_TargetTarget")
tot:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", target, 0, 35) -- anchor targettarget frame to the target frame

local focus = oUF:Spawn("focus", "oUF_Focus")
focus:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", player, 0, -30) -- focus just near tot

oUF has global units reference.

example:
oUF.units.player is the player frame
oUF.units.focus is the focus frame

also, pet happiness ive fixed, look on wowace forums for the post.

Lyn, I am pretty much convinced that you don't need auraOffset function in your layout. It almost duplicates oUF standard function

Brilliant looks on this one, but one thing stops me from using it, namely the way raid is drawn.
My question is if it's possible without too much hassle to make the raid shown as a list ?
More or less like PerfectRaid by cladhaire. Fiddled around a bit but couldn't find an option for it in the lua.
Great work either way.

you just have to edit the second setpoint (where the raid frames spawn) to put them under the previous group.
