FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons do not automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars (except for Bar 1), you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

Basically, put the skills that map to 1-5 on the hidden bar that becomes the possess bar and for that bar alone, bind the keys to the bar, not using BindPad. Then when it switches to possess you can still use the keybinds.

Addons should not cause WoW to crash. If they does, it should be reported to WoW tech support, not to addon authors.

You need one of your bars set to behave as a posess bar. By default it is Bar1.
Better option to solve such troubles would be to reset your setup and start from scratch, without touching any of the visibility/paging settings.

All i wanted was a replacement for CT_barmod, as it uses way too much CPU power for what it does.

Another vote here for the BT default to resemble the Blizzard default bar placement. It's annoying to roll a new character and have to deal with action bar splatter before you can even accept your first quest.

EDIT: Problem solved, disabling Gatherer wowhead database and deleting gatherer.lua in the WTF folder did the job, might be because it was causing a conflict of some sort. I'll leave the rest of the post for anyone that may come across this error in the future.

Strange error, I have been running wow perfectly normally for the past month or so and when I tried to start it, I would keep getting the same error. Disabling Bartender fixes the problem.

I disabled all addons and enabled only Bartender and it worked, so there's probably a conflict.

The memory dump kinda led me to eliminate which addons would cause it.

hypez A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 0 File comments: 8 Uploads: 0	so recently I accidentally un-clicked that box "character specific key bindings" while binding some keys and had to rebind everything-lol. anyways whats really been bugging me now is when i have my pet bar out and have shift down (i use button paging a lot so almost always) and try to use a pet ability like /petpassive or freeze, it goes off, but also places the icon under my mouse as if i wanted to move the spell around or off the bar, very annoying in the heat of battle. I remember some option like this in an older version of bartender to override the lock on action bars or something similar, but i cannot find this option now to turn it off
