Rekcinad UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 11.0
by: Rekcinad [More]

REKCINAD UI

A custom interface for WoW. Usable for Tanking, dpsing and healing.

This UI uses mainly ElvUI with the Skullflower edit.

Core AddOns
  • ElvUI + Skullflower UI pack
  • BigWigs
  • Omen
  • Skada
  • WeakAuras
  • Parrot

Installation
  1. Backup your Fonts, WTF and Interface folders in the main WoW directory.
  2. Unpack the downloaded file.
  3. Copy the new Fonts, WTF and Interface folders to your WoW directory.
  4. Make sure you select the WTF folder corresponding to your resolution, and rename it to WTF.
  5. Go into WTF/Account and rename "ACCOUNTNAME" to your accountname.
  6. In "ACCOUNTNAME", rename "SERVERNAME" to your server's name.
  7. In "Servername", rename "Classname" to your character's name. You can copy this folder for every character you own and rename accordingly. As you can see there are already some class specific folders here.Take your pick from the Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Paladin, Death Knight or Priest folder instead if you are playing one of these classes.

Now that you're set up you can start up WoW and log in. Make sure Out of Date addons are enabled in the addon screen. Once you're in-game, you will have to set up some profiles.

Setting up the profiles
  • /ec -> Pick your class' profile. If your class isn't listed, pick Warrior.
  • /bw -> Default
  • /omen -> Default
Reload your UI after all this is done.

Version 2.1
- Both 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 resolutions are now supported
- Polished action bars. Various tweaks are: shadow under the main bar, tidied up the hidden action bars at the bottom.
- Replacement of the tooltip - it will no longer obstruct UI windows.
- Updates to the nameplates. Better castbar + castbar icon and a better look overall.
- Slight finetune of the two stat bars in both bottom corners.

Version 1.2
- Reduced overall memory usage through Aloft

Sexy as hell UI, I'm diggin it. The memory usage is ridiculously frightening though.

Anyways, nice layout and style, added to my favorites.

Beautiful looking UI - will be trying it out as soon as the EU servers are up. Don't worry about memory usage, minimalism has become popular but as long as you're not running completely out-dated hardware it will make nary a difference.

You're right about the memory usage, it is indeed quite high. It shouldn't make a noticeable impact on modern day computers though. I'll see if I can reduce it somewhat when I have time these next few days!

-----
Edit:

I had a look at some of the addon's and managed to shave off some MB's by disabling Aloft's data saving options. The memory usage is now at a stable 20 MB. I'll get a chance to raid-test the changes tonight. Updated download is awaiting approval.

I didn't mean to seem like I was putting your UI down, it really is sweet. I totally agree that today's computers shouldn't have any noticeable impact with the amount of memory that is being used.

There are just a lot of alternatives out there that do what some of your addons already do, and they do it will less of an impact. I used to LOVE Aloft, I still partially do, but I have moved on to other addons that do the same thing and barely leave an imprint.

I used almost all of the addons in your UI at one point or another almost religiously. They are great addons, I couldn't play the game without some of them. There are alternatives though that can accomplish the same things now, and use quite a bit less on resources.

I still think that your UI is hot, and when I'm feeling frisky I will probably install it. Just keep doing what you do, that's all that matters and others will appreciate you for it.

Edit: You should start using the change log too, that way when people like me see one of their favorites have been updated they can come and check out what's new.

You could perhaps try eQueue (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ueue.html#info). I think this does what you're looking for, but it's not officially updated for 4.0.1 yet. It may still work though

First of all I think its an excellent UI, awesome looking and very functional with lots of work put into it.

I've been playing with the UI some time already, customized it a bit and adapted to 1920x1080 resolution (tbh it works perfectly out of the box with the UI scale enabled).

Default Blizzard UI elements can be moved with MoveAnything (Dungeon Finder window, new Dungeon Difficulty icon).

For easy installation and profile switching it is convenient to use Reflux (switch and snapshot commands).

Both compatible with 4.0.1

Keep up the awesome work!

Getting a new monitor tomorrow. Expect a more polished update for 1680x1050 and 1920x1080 resolutions!

Moveanything included, which amongst other things fixes the Dungeon queue problem Yei has had.

Edit: postphoned till monday.

The new update is now pending! I've been very busy these last few weeks with setting up a raiding team for Cataclysm, so apologies for the major delay.

The UI now fully supports both 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 resolutions.

For some other minor tweaks see the change log. Enjoy!
