Threat Plates (TP for short) is a addon for customizing your nameplates. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

Features:

SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
Ace3 profiling.
Low memory footprint.
Threat system management.
Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
Customizable widgets.
Customizable totem nameplates.
Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

Commands:

/tptp - Displays options.
/tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
/tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
/tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
/tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
/tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

There were some old spells (rogue) and totems as well as some problems with the dual spec implementation. I got my version working with some tweaking, but it's far from perfect and probably still buggy. But I don't have a lot experience with LUA programming or WoW addons.

Melko A Kobold Labourer Forum posts: 0 File comments: 1 Uploads: 0	I'm having some issues with the settings, when i type /tptp i am unable to press enter, the game simply does not register it, when i go to the config options in the interface options clicking the 'config' splash screen thing does nothing, or rather it makes the interface menu disappear and nothing else happens. I have true to uninstall both threat plates and tidy plates, deleting all saved settings and doing a clean install as well as disabling all addons but those 2 but the problem persists.

I would really love to know if it would be possible to scale the nameplates of enemies according to the health percentage that they are at. I know that there is an option to change the colour of nameplates by their health, the problem I found with this is that this is a continuous colour change instead of a discrete immediate change im looking for. I play a marksman hunter currently, and would like to see the nameplates grow slightly when they are above 80% health (perhaps also a slightly different colour), as I get a huge bonus to crit chance attacking these targets. Also when the target reaches 35% health, I can use mouseover killshot macros to snipe these kills. Have a discrete colour and scale change would make this task quite a bit neater/easier. I use this new code within this modified threat plates to support health amount to best of ability with 6.2.2 limitations and it's fairly decent. So review the edits I did to healthtext.lua file. That's about all I edited in threat plates files to support the edits I had to make in TP core.

Recently I started using a color priority system. Since lots of fights you need to kill add 1, before add 2, and so on. First I'd like to be able to make custom name plates only show in raids. Its weird when I see a custom name plate outside in the world. But this have to be an option. Going by group size be best otherwise you'll get caught up in the million different dungeon/raid types. Second would be a list that would show say the last 20 mobs you encountered. Then in the box where you enter mob name you'd have a pull down menu below that which would list the last 20 mobs you encountered. Just pick one from the list and done. Be sure it's a wide pull down so mob names don't get truncated. You may ask why not use the target option. Well not every mob is visible before the pull. And with this I wouldn't have to worry about typos. This would be really usefull in beta on new boss fights when you may have to make changes to custom name plates between pulls really quickly. Originally I was using color as a means of spotting one out of many adds. But its become a really good tool for prioritizing what to kill first. I find reading color is much faster than reading text.

That's a common crash if you try to use font's that are missing characters, such as german umlaute or some russian names and such.

Monitoring hostile mob buffs was not the intention of the aura widget, it is possible though I'm sure.

It should be fixed in 7.013
