Shared Media Guide

If you wish to use your own custom textures, then the best way to do this is with SharedMedia.

Step 1: Install SharedMedia
  1. Download SharedMedia
  2. Copy the SharedMedia folder from the download to your Interface\AddOns\ folder
  3. Inside the Interface\AddOns\SharedMedia\ folder, rename MyMedia.bat.txt to MyMedia.bat
  4. Double-click MyMedia.bat

Step 2: Install your custom textures
  • You can either grab textures from other downloads (such as Power Auras Classic) or create your own. Custom textures will have either a .blp or .tga file extension.
  • Move any custom texture files you want to use into the SharedMedia_MyMedia\background\ folder.
  • Run the MyMedia.bat file once again to register your new textures.

I would love to know if you have an idea for this to work.
I am atm trying to find an addon that will show me the number of lightning shield stacks that I have on my elemental shaman when patch 4.0.x goes live.
The reason behind this is these two talents.
Rolling Thunder
And
Fulmination
How these talent works are that, any stack you get above the default 3 that you get with Lightning Shield will work like a combo point system, and when you hit 9 stacks you use Earth Shock as a Rogue would do at 5 combo points and will do very nice dmg this way.
The addon only have to track stack 4-9 and just ignore 1-3, is this possible with this addon and having it show like rogue/feral combo points or the new soul shard system?

I do, but due to really buggy beta character copies I ended up only being able to get two premade characters and chose Shaman and Paladin. Will try to implement Warlock shizdiggle asap

Alright, did a complete code overhaul in preparation for adding more counters and Cataclysm's new class points (Holy Power, Shards, etc). Let us know if anything's broken

Yeah, I removed that option in the last build while trying to get the addon compatible with Holy Power. I think I'll take a different approach and get that option back in.

Then again, there's already a number of addons that can do that. Seems silly to reinvent the wheel.

Alright, think I'll spend the next week or two completely rewriting this addon from the ground up. Should be able to include dynamic frame creation, allowing you to track any buff/debuff or player point system you want.

It's gonna take a bit of time though

Like in this picture?

Should be a simple matter of setting Border texture to "Solid", Inset to 0 and Edge Size to 1.

Yes, this add-on would make for an awesome stack counter (multiple custom displays) for our favorites. I have a Darkmoon Card: Crusade that my druid wears for his kitty battles. It's proc stacks up to 20 times.

That is if one is inclined to go in that direction. Stack counting would be a whole other ball game.

Edited to suggest: nibStackCount
