RuneHUD  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.1.2
by: Ereki [More]

RuneHUD is a simple addon that moves the runes of your DK to make them a HUD (Heads Up Display). The runes are click through which means they don't intercept mouse clicks. It also has a minimalistic bar showing your current runic power.

RuneHUD have OmniCC support and will be hidden when in a vehicle!

Access the options using slash commands, either /rh or /runehud brings up an options menu to change the settings.

Toc bump for 10.1

9.1.1:

There's no in-game configuration and it never will be:
"The only way to configure the position of the runes is by editing the lua files. But it's all commented so it shouldn't be that hard."

Just on a second note, do you see the runes at all? If not something is making the addon bug, and if so a list of you other addons would be great.

Re: Re: Re: Re: UI manager issue

I was very excited about this addon and i am now very frustrated.

I have installed it. I have added it. I can't access it in anyway. I have looked for the command lines and i can't find them anywhere.

/runehud (nothing)

/rune (nothing)

/hud (nothing)

It is not showing up in my interface menu from in the game even though it shows up in my addons section before logging on and it is selected there. There is no minimap icon to work with. It doesn't auto load up for me. When it is selected and i am in game i have no runes visible at all and when i use runes still nothing shows up.

how do i access and config this? what are the command lines?

I really like the layout of a semi circle on top of my toon and i really like it compatible with omnicc, but if i can access it in anyway i can't use it.

I don't think it's anymore distracting and the runes are a bit pretty imo.

Well if you open the lua and check:
--Alpha of the runes, change for higer/lower alpha (0 - 1)
local function Runehud_OnEvent(self, event, ...)
if event == "PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD" or event == "PLAYER_REGEN_ENABLED" then
RuneFrame:SetAlpha(0.1) --Alpha out of combat
elseif event == "PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED" then
RuneFrame:SetAlpha(1) --Alpha in combat
end
end
Edit this line:
RuneFrame:SetAlpha(0.1) --Alpha out of combat
to:
RuneFrame:SetAlpha(0) --Alpha out of combat
And it will be completly gone. ^^

I've got 1 more question..so when out of combat the runes are "almost" invisible..very very transparent..how hard would it be to make them absolutely 100% hide out of combat..& display like they do unchanged in combat?

Mebbe an .lua True or False to make it just like it is now or 100% hidden out of combat..I dunno mebbe some people wouldn't like them totally gone..I don't know..just a thought

Well for some reason X-Perls author made a line of code to check if the RuneFrame was parented to the UIParent and if it was it changed it. So I made an own frame to parent it to so now X-Perl just skips everything about moving the runes.

CONFIRMED!

RuneHUD 1.3 works with xPerl..no need to even disable Rune display

Thank you very much..I can't thank you enough this addon is stellar

You don't have to try if you don't want to but I'm just interested..how did you fix it? Can you put it into terms someone who doesn't write addons could understand? Or's it all nit picky technical stuff

Well it isn't his responsibility either really, and the fix was (if it works) way easier on my side.
I'm just happy to help you out.

you know I was thinking too as I was trying Ag_Unitframes..it isn't necessarily your responsibility to "fix" your addon with xPerl..I could just ask the xPerl author how to disable rune support..since disabling the bar doesn't seem to return the default icons..sorry for not thinking of that earlier..but thanks for caring to try..I hope your fix works
