Fortress  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.1.5
by: Borlox [More]

Fortress is a display addon for LDB data feeds. It shows each plugin as a block, which is freely movable and can stick to other blocks. Blocks can be unstuck by holding the ctrl-key while dragging them.

Commands:
Use /fortress or /ft to open the configuration (also accessible via Main Menu -> Interface -> Addons -> Fortress).

Configuration:
The configuration has two parts: The master settings and the individual plugin settings. At first each option is controlled by the master settings and therefore it has the same effect for each plugin. Once you change something individually for one plugin, this setting is no longer controlled by the master mode (for this plugin).
You can select the mode for each option at the "Select master" tab in each plugin's config screen.

Bug Reports:

I've got FuBar Dummy and Fubar2Broker running, but now I'm finding that several FuBar mods, all in their own folders, are failing to load automatically. They can be loaded on demand, but I'd love to fix it so I don't have to remember to do that. Any ideas? Examples: RecountFu, RestFu, VolumeFu. I've been looking for Broker equivalents that I like, but not found any yet.

Does anyone know a way I can get these working again?

Hello Borlox,

first of all i want to thank you for your great addon.
I have used Fubar a long time, but now i have discovered Fortress and i love it
But i have one problem/question and hope that you can help me getting a solution therefor.
I have split up my LDB addons in two seperate "bars".
One is on the left side of my screen and only holds the casterstats, the other one is on the right side and only holds "raidstuff" like oRa Settings, Recount toggle, BigWigs Settings,zBrokerDurability and so on.
The left bar (casterstats) should allways be shown, the right bar ("raid stuff") only at mouseover.
And thatīs my problem, i donīt get the whole right bar showing on mouseover.
The only options is showing every single part in this bar on mouseover, but i want the whole bar to show/hide on mouseover, not the single parts.
Is it possible to get a whole bar showing/hiding on mouseover ?

Kind regards

EDTI: Found the solution for showing a whole bar on mouseover.
But now i have a new problem.
How to get one bar showing allways and the other one only at mouseover ?

I've been shopping for a Fubar replacement, and have been unsuccessful.

However, I was looking at this addon, and I had a question.

With some LDB bar addons, there is difficulty in displaying Fubar plugins. Even using Fubar2Broker doesn't fix it. Are Fubar addons plugin-able for Fortress? (I noticed in your screenshot you had MoneyFu, for example).

Maybe Fortress was deactivated due to the patch. Check your addon settings (character screen, button at the bottom left corner of the screen).

I love the Link option which hides everything and only shows the 'linked' plugins onHover. Is there a way to have each set of linked ones have a different option somehow?

I have a top-center set I want to always be on, and a top-left and top-right 'set' of plugins that I would like to show the linked set onHover if possible.

I'm sorry, that's not possible at the moment and at the moment it's not planned*.
You could use a Bar Display (like ChocolateBar, NinjaPanel or TitanPanel and I'm sure there are other I just forgot) for the top-center one, and two groups of Fortress blocks left and right of the panel.

* There are two problems with button group options:
a) LegoBlock (the library used to create the blocks) does not support button groups, even the code to determine groups for the 'show linked' option is ugly hackerish and
b) the options panel is complicated enough, button groups would require yet another layer of options to be added to the master/per-plugin settings (those are far away from ideal, but I'm really bad in designing GUIs, especially those for options).

Ahhh, ok. I'm gonna stick with it as the way it is, Fortress is the best one by far for me and I love how it looks and behaves. Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm still having problems with FuBar modules not loading when WoW starts up, most notably for me Fubar - RecountFu. I can start it manually, no problem, but it point-blank refuses to load automatically. Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm running Fubar Dummy r2 to replace Fubar, and Fubar2Broker r86 (according to the Curse updater). I'm also running a hell of a lot of other mods, so I won't bore you with the full list unless asked.

You could use one of the DataBroker addons for Recount:

Fortress bug?

I'm getting a bug that may be caused by Fortress, or maybe by GearScore of Yssdrop, I can't tell (I'm telling both of them as well):
