Ackis Recipe List

Ackis Recipe List is an AddOn which will scan your trade skill recipes and print out a list of which recipes you are currently missing. It will work for all tradeskills.

Profession AddOns:
Due to the increasing data size and memory usage with each WoW expansion, the professions have been split into their own AddOns; you need only download the ones you'll be using. Each installed and enabled profession AddOn will load whenever it's first accessed by the ARL core.

(copy&paste because I'm a bit lazy atm) "I second this ['this' being the option to link a profession], especially because the addon I used to have for this (FreeWithMats) has been killed by its author and I really miss this functionality now that 4.0.1 bugged it. /cry Just to clarify on exactly what functionality I mean: it's producing profession links of alts through slash commands. Like this: /fwm cooking -> [charname x] [charname y] [charname z] /fwm charname -> [profession 1] [profession 2] The reason I miss this is because often in my guild I get asked if I can cut gem x or craft armor kit y when I'm not on the character that has said profession, or I happen to be on my bank alt and see a recipe that I'm not sure is already known by the character with that profession. By typing in a simple slash command I can easily access the profession window in question, without having to relog (or take a long time wading through a menu like with ARL)." If this could be implemented, then I'd be really grateful. I found that ever since FWM stopped working, I really miss the ability to link my alts' professions by a simple slash command the way that FWM could. Scan a tradeskill to open ARL, expand the filter section, select miscellaneous, and there's an arrow labeled "Alt Tradeskills". When you click it, a menu appears. __________________ Whenever someone says "pls" because it's shorter than "please", I say "no" because it's shorter than "yes". That's why my request is specifically for a simple slash command, so that I don't have to wade through a menu but can just type in something and immediately get the requested links printed. Another reason is that my bankers don't have any professions, so the scan button isn't accessible to them in the first place. (I'm no lua expert, so I don't know how hard it is to implement slash commands.. it seems easy to me, but might be too much of a hassle, in which case sorry for the bother) __________________ Just remember... if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.

The thing is that they're indeed not all in the same guild. :s And then it still wouldn't help me when I'm on my banker and run across a recipe of which I'm not sure whether another toon already learned it.

I hope I don't come across as a whiner. I just really miss this functionality so I'm merely trying to plead with the authors of similar addons to see it implemented in another addon I use and like. Funny how easily you can grow used to something as small as this.

I too am having an issue like this with all trades, and yes I have been through the entire "Filter" and made sure I do not have "Known" checked. For some reason it will now see that I have them. I also have the newest release, unless there is a newer one on another site than here at WOWUI.

no i don't, not yet. Engineers still have it in their list if they had it learned prior to 4.0.1..... and as of 4.0.3a it's still there. It's marked with the BUGGED string in ARL for the time being.

Those recipes are currently in the Alpha version on WoWAce.

Did you delete your old folders and re-install as he suggests? I didn't, and I am experiencing the same issues. Had I read instead of just installing the upgrade, I would have known

I have now deleted the old folders as well as the saved variables for Ackis. I'm hoping that resolves the issue

Oh! By the way--great add-on! Thank you so much! It is so helpful when I am trying to find recipes that I know I should have but don't.
