Afterlife Crowd Control  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: r21.20502
by: Codermik [More]

Afterlife Crowd Control

Whats this addon do?
Afterlife Crowd Control is a World of Warcraft addon designed to monitor your crowd controls in and outside a party, and your party/raid members assigned target crowd controls. This is an invaluable addon for raid leaders and tanks who need to keep track of the many possible crowd control targets in a party or raid, for example, as a tank you can see which target will expire first allowing you to be there ready to pick the target up.

Features

  • List all the controlled targets in your party or raid, including the person who controlled the target.
  • 3D target frame for your own personal crowd control including time remaining.
  • Move/resiz Timer bars showing party/raid controlled targets and their durations.
  • Visual / Audio warnings when your personal crowd controlled target breaks.
  • Batman style popup when your target breaks.
  • Announce to your party or raid when your you apply and renew your crowd controls, and when your target breaks.
  • Announce to your party or raid the last 15 seconds remaining on your controlled target.
  • Announce when you interrupt a cast.
  • Diminish Returns support for PvP and Arena
  • Tank helpers such as automatically removing Salvation - this feature is activated by typing /afterlife tank from the chat window.

    ..and much more!
Hunters - please note
For hunters, target the mob you intend to trap before placing down/throwing your trap - this will assign your 3D target. If you do not select your target first before using the trap then you will not see the 3D target frame, but the timers will perform normally and any break alerts will work as normal. If you would like to see a demonstration of this, please see this video

Need a video demonstration?
You can see a demonstration video here

Instructions
For options, type /afterlife in game

Fixed a bug when a spell misses, the raid target on the mob was not correctly identified.

Its not something I would say to anyone who has valid comments about the addon.

I will be adding focusing support shortly - basically i have a list of stuff which i have received by users of the addon such as raid timers, addon to addon communication and many more.

The latest release seen the introduction of the raid/party timers and multi-target support. Furthermore, these were considered priority not only for my guild but because of the number of requests for this feature i received by email.

I have a long list of features planned for the future and focussed targets is one of them.

A while ago a saw someone post one this thread about ACC not tracking focus CC targets.

It would appear that it still doesn't. To be perfectly honest, and you can say to me, "don't bother using the addon in that case!", I feel that without this functionality the addon is somewhat lacking.

Please look into it. I really like the way the addon has been done, and for simple click and ./cast Sheep play, it works really well. But tbh, who out there doesn't use a focus sheep/shackle/sleep etc macro these days? If you aren't, you really ought to. Same with this addon.

Apart from that. Nice stuff!

P.S: I was able to make a similar focus sheep timer without all the bells and whistles by using a certain unitframes addon, and enlarging the debuff icon and timer text on the focus frame. The timer will refresh every time a shackle/sheep is applied, and there is no need to manually click and resheep the target. So the functionality is there in the game.

Im already aware of this issue which has already been fixed in the test version used by my guild. Watch out for r4.9.9.8 which will be released later today.

EDIT: Released 19:00 GMT

Further to my last reply I have uploaded build r4898 which corrects the problem you reported regarding Natur and Afterlife.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you personally for bringing this problem to my attention and allowing me to make this addon better.

Ok thank you. I will load up Natur on my system and take a look at this issue. I will post information when i determine the problem. Thank you alot for letting me know.

I will determine if its mine causing the problem or Natur, either way i'll work with the author of Natur if it turns out to be their code.

Is this causing ure ACC addon or NaturalCombat has he problem and has conflic with ACC ? So i know if i need to write to NaturalCombat crators to help little coz i see ure addon is great its work great when NC istn on.
Turn off Afterlife, then try Natur by itself to see if the error is there. It looks like its a Natur problem to be honest but trying it alone will determine if the two addons are conflicting.

It has somekind of problem with naturalcombat options it resets naturalcombat addon and gives like 7 errors with different number naturaloptions.lua:***: and call method 'Get hight, bars ect.

Any idea?
Natur or the error isnt any part of the addon im afraid. Naturaloptions.lua isnt a part of the Afterlife Addon. Try to disable the new Afterlife addon to see if these two addons conflict. If the error goes when my addon is disabled then theres a issue with both being installed on the same machine.

Please provide details of the addon causing the error so that i can replicate the error here.

No support for focused targets as yet. Something i'll look into soon.

However, it does make a note of your target which was cc'd and will notify you as nec. a previous bug would sometimes fail to announce when you started casting on a target then switching to a different one before your cc spell completed. this has been fixed a few revisions back.
