Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.

Not specifically Vampiric Touch, but you can move the entire Power Gains event (Events->Notification->Power Gains) and hence Vampiric Touch with it.

Correct. As I posted on the main page, I've actually decided to scrap the current system and go with something completely different and way more customizable, though it will likely come at the cost of being slightly more difficult to use.

At any rate, once I redo it, instant casts will be available.

I did read the manual for triggers actually, but that was a few days ago and didn't really see I couldn't check hostile only if it was "you".

Does the Cast Start event work with instant cast spells/skills? My friend is trying to create a trigger for when a rogue uses kick on him, in order to help him with fake casting for arenas.

I have tried the Cast Start event also, and I cannot get it to trigger with any of my rogue skills, all of them being instant. He can get it to work with Flash Heal.

No other event seems to fit here other than Cast Start. We are not looking for the debuff application of 'Kick - Silenced' but just when a rogue around him has used the ability Kick.

Is this functionality still possible in 2.4?

EDIT: Did not notice there was a manual included. Checking it now.

EDIT2: Okay, after looking at the manual, it looks like Cast Start only works with cast time spells so I'm guessing this type of event is something that is being looked into for further revisions.

Do not use Hostile Only together with You. Since you are the one being affected by the debuff and You are not hostile to yourself, this combination would never happen.

Simpy tick off the hostile only and it should work.

I am trying to create a trigger that will show "Intercept!" when a warrior intercepts me. So I know if I should blink or not, since it's hard to tell sometimes if a warrior charges or intercepts when I didn't see them coming.

Hi.

Firsty wanted to say how extremely usefull the custom triggers are, good job!

Secondly, is there anyway to have your party/raid as Affected Unit. For example let's say I wanted to create a trigger whenever I am in arena and viper sting is cast on either me or a partymember. However, I do not want to see when the hunter in my team is casting it.

If I chose "You" it would not include party members.
If I chose "Any" it would also include hostile characters.

Is there a possiblility to add a Affected Unit is hostile - exception or have an option just like you have for to only activate if the Affected unit is friendly.

Done some more testing on my druid last night - the low mana warning/sound is ofter fired when my energy is below 40. Since my druid got furor, when I'm shifting into cat I do not get any warning, but during combat i get it often.

For some reason when I tried to make a trigger that would let me know when a mage is casting polymorph on me only ('Cast Start - Polymorph - You' was the event) nothing would show, but if I change the 'You' to 'Any' then it works, but obviously it shows when anyone is getting polymorphed, and im trying to set it up so that it only shows the message when the mage is casting a polymorph on me.

I appreciate all the feedback. I can see that many of you had come up with some creative triggers that I really didn't consider when rewriting for patch 2.4.

At this point I think I'm basically going to scrap the current system and take an entirely new approach. I was attempting to keep the same overall feel with the new system as the old one, but due to the major combat log changes, it just doesn't work out as well. The most common triggers for CC breaking and Skills being cast or used are covered for now.

Party Low Health

I play a healer in PvP and it would really help me to have a Low Health message that occurred for any member of my party. Is this possible to do with 5.11? I had it set up in a pre-2.4 version but I can't figure out how to accomplish it with this new version, as 'All' is not an option for the Health Threshold trigger.

Any help would be appreciated!
