Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Clique and oUF
So i posted this and you didnt respond, also i made a ticket about it.
Here a repost Issue: When mousing over oUF_Donut i'm able to (Highlight?) my character as well as click on him. now with the ignore oUF_Donut frame enabled it still detects it and i can still select my character not sure what the issue is but i know its Clique doing it.. disabled all my addons (Including Clique) no issue wouldnt detect mouse over or able to click on the frame iteself... When enabling Clique it detected my mouse over over the Frame AS WELL as letting me select the frame (Character). Can we have a fix for oUF_Donut unit frame so it dont detect it please and thank you. |

2. Disable all addons EXCEPT clique. 3. Log in for the first time, bring up the settings for Clique, adjust the default binding for "Show unit menu" to "Out-of-combat (ONLY)", and close the settings. The only other bind is on Left Click for "Target clicked unit". 4. Take new character, engage MOB, go into combat, right click portrait ... unit menu displays DESPITE being in combat. Is any further explanation needed? As an aside, I only referenced remapping "Show Unit Menu" to the Middle Button to show that Clique was respecting the OOC state in that configuration. Further given the above setup, there can be no conflicts with any other addons causing this. So obviously I am missing something here ... a previous poster had the exact same issue as well ... I was just hoping that someone would chime in and correct my errors. Thanks! |

If you do not have a right-click set to unit menu in Clique, then Clique is NOT the thing producing the right-click unit menu, I can assure you of that. I'm very much not understanding what the bug/issue is here or if it actually relates to Clique.
Can you please be as clear as possible about EVERYTHING you have configured in your bind sets, what the behaviour you expect to see is, and what the behaviour you're seeing instead is?

Does precluding the unit menu on right click popping up under combat just not a thing anymore? |

Thanks, the issue will have been a change to the UI, not to Clique. I may have to find a way to adjust, but I'll try and look at it.

Ever since 6.0 version, the down click portion isn't working, unless you check/uncheck any option from the addon's interface. Thing that you have to do everytime after you log in and out or reload your UI.
It happens with all unit frames, either default ones or 3rd party. (issue happens in v60100-1.0.0 as well)

I'm seeing the same problem (i.e. unit menu showing in combat on right click, even if selected as ooc only). Things I can add: - I use pitbull and grid2, disabling both does nothing to correct this problem. It still manifests itself when both are disabled. - If I assign unit menu to middle button ooc, it works correctly. However, when this configuration is in place, right click still produces the unit menu. My guess is some other addon is forcing unit menu on right click ... but I'm at a loss to determine what it is. Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

There was absolutely nothing to indicate that my addons were abandoned and I don't appreciate people jumping to that conclusion. It's offensive to me: I am not other authors. There may have been a long time since the last update, but that's because my addon works. I've been here and I've been actively commenting and supporting users on both Wowinterface and Curse. I appreciate your concern for wanting to use the addon, but please understand that I don't have to be happy about being treated a bit like a deadbeat-addon-dad. I know there is an outstanding issue relating to Auctioneer. I really would like someone to get me some information so I can try to resolve it. Nothing has changed in Clique and no crash should result in something like that happening, so I'd like to figure out what weird behaviour is going on. It is almost entirely likely that this is a mis-reporting of another upstream bug and I'd like to find a way to clarify the behaviour for my users.
