Advanced Trade Skill Window  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.8.0
by: Slarti [More]

ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, including enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

- more comfort
The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

ATSW explicitly supports ArmorCraft, LS3D craft info and Fizzwidgets ReagentCost. Other addons that change the original tradeskill window will probably not work with ATSW.

v0.8.0:
- changed: ATSW updated for patch 4.0

I don't have lag or disconnection problems... but nothing in the window is clickable anymore.

I really hope that someone fix this great addon. I don't think I could bear with any other.

Yeah, just tried that Lilsparky Skillet clone out of sheer desperation and it doesn't work. But this mod......it drives me crazy to try to do inscription with it! 30-45 second lag spikes everytime I click on anything in the window.

If Slarti has indeed cut the life support off this addon, is there a way for another addon author to pick it up in his stead? I've used this addon for years, grown quite used and attached to it, and I'm sure a lot of other people would also really like to see this addon fixed again.
I totally agree--It is working somewhat in 3.3.5--however, it is totally broken on the current PTR--can't get it to work at all.

making the auto buying of inks to work

i have found out how i with 100% no issues can make the auto buying of inks and parchment from the vendors to work.

make up your craft list as you usually would to make glyphs.
open up the parchment vendors window and click the buy reagents option at top.
go back to your ATSW and in the list of what glyphs you are about to craft you now need to delete all inks the list tells you you need.
now open up the ink trader and use the buy regents option.
all inks that you deleted the addon will now auto buy for you just as it previously did with the papers.

So now what needs to be changed?
Replace the existing line 896:
Code:
if(arg1=="LeftButton" and ( ChatFrameEditBox:IsVisible() or WIM_EditBoxInFocus~=nil)) then
With this:
Code:
if(arg1=="LeftButton" and ( ChatEdit_GetActiveWindow():IsVisible() or WIM_EditBoxInFocus~=nil)) then
(This is in addition to TechnoHunter's changes.)

Open atsw.lua in Notepad or Wordpad (I use wordpad)

Once open do a search (press CTRL+F) for " ChatFrameEditBox " (Minus the quotes)

For each one you find (there are 4) change it to " ChatFrame1EditBox " (Minus the quotes and make sure it stay with the caps). All you are doing is adding a 1.

Save the file and reload WoW.

hiya.. the recent patch changed the way the chat edit box works (names in particular)

open the file mentioned and goto the following lines..
...\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\AdvancedTradeSkillWindow\atsw.lua (3 hits)
Line 1731: channel = ChatEdit_GetActiveWindow():GetAttribute("chatType");--channel = ChatFrameEditBox:GetAttribute("chatType");
Line 1733: chatnumber = ChatEdit_GetActiveWindow():GetAttribute("tellTarget"); --chatnumber = ChatFrameEditBox:GetAttribute("tellTarget");
Line 1735: chatnumber = ChatEdit_GetActiveWindow():GetAttribute("channelTarget");--chatnumber = ChatFrameEditBox:GetAttribute("channelTarget");

the first part of the line is what works.. the part AFTER the -- is the original line.. have fun

ps the -- means what comes after is a comment, ignore in code
